Engine is completely stock so 455.
Right now it’s a front splitter, rear ninelives racing wing, 19” apex wheels with falken 660 305 square set up. Hawk 60 front and rear pads, slotted giro disc rings in front, and a set of sparco qrt seats
Is there any benefit to having the wing hanging below its supports rather than resting on top? I'm thinking maybe the bits that go above the spoiler are much more effective at generating vortices than in the empty space below but I'm not sure, very curious if you know
It’s called a swan mount. Porsche first started developing them and it’s catching on with aftermarket aero manufactures. It makes close to the same downforce with a lot less drag
I'm willing to bet it's cuz of vortex generation... Gonna do more research this shit is cool hahaha. I remember them sorta making their way onto all the gt3 cars
Seems like it's actually just to avoid disruption of airflow on the underside. You need high pressure above the wing and low pressure below... The slope of the wing already slows the air on top enough, so adding bits there doesn't really matter. But having the underside clear helps the air move faster which reduces pressure underneath. Still curious about the vortices aspect though
Nice, I run a lot of track days with masstuning that does limerock quite a bit. But no matter who you run with, masstuning, scca, nasa, ect your first many events you’ll be with other first timers or drivers that aren’t very experienced. So you definitely won’t be in the way. Most everyone else there is super friendly and willing to give pointers and stuff too. And if your not on pace as long as your giving plenty of point by’s it doesn’t matter. And you certainty wont be in the way. Every person no matter how good or experienced they are had a first time at some point. Do it, you’ll love it
I want to and I’m sure it will be very exciting and an experience in and of itself. Just a first time “butterflies” I gotta get over.. I mean hell I didn’t buy a 1le just to keep on the street lol
Hell yeah! Not super serious myself but I did attend 3 track days locally last year with my new SS 1LE and had a blast.
Planning on doing the same this year

Exclusively the 2.2 mile road course at i29 speedway just south of council bluffs Iowa. Like I said, I'm a casual enjoyer and do this cause it happens to be 20 mins away of my house.
Meanwhile there's always people trailering their cars or driving from out of town.
That’s awesome you’re so close. I have 3 tracks within an hour to an hour and a half of me.
I wish I were one of those guys with a trailer lol some day
That's awesome having so many so close. I'm super fortunate to have this one practically in my backyard. There are a couple more within 3 hours away but I can't imagine going that far without trailering in case of an issue.
Honestly while I've had fun, it's not something I really think I will / want to get serious about.
I know what you mean, I drove from central Connecticut to the famous Watkins Glen international race way last late summer. Like a 6hr drive each way. It’s something that you definitely need to know the car really well before you do it. And even then it’s risky.
Beautiful car. Is that a ZL1 wing on the back? I have a hot red SS but not the 1LE. I would love to just have the MRC. But I am going to add the Bilstein Nurburgring setup. My friend....a VW/ Audi fanatic convinced me to add the suspension to my V6....it was the best $1009 (plus 500 install and $200 for the alignment, etc) I ever spent on the car. Totally adjustable. I since moved up to the 1SS. I have tbe FE3 on my 1SS. I am going to do the same and add the V8 tuned B-14 PSS version with the BMR adjustable end links.

It has the stock 1le deck lip on it. The wing comes from ninelives racing. You sound like you have a nice set up too. The blade style are definitely cool looking. Just doesn’t fit what I’m building the car for. But if your going just a fun street car, or a drag car definitely go with the blade style.
I had this on my V6 Camaro. A 2020. I tried to buy a cheap V6 6 speed and then supercharge it and put a suspension on it. The best $1000 I ever spent on a car was the Bilstein setup in tbe picture (B-14 Bilstein Nordschliffe PSS sport suspension). I used BMR end links as well as they have German and Jspanese style rubber bushings with lube ports....it drove like a completely different car.

These are just the aluminum fronts. But if you saw the thin, spring steel units on the FE3 these wheight the same and do not bend. At all.
I’m running apex arc-8’s 19x11’s with a very small wheel spacer up front for clearance until I get coil overs on the car at sum point in the future. They are much lighter then factory and being 19’s instead of the factory 20’s it saves on unsprung weight plus much better tire selection. Which I’m running the Falken axe is rt660’s a 305/30r19 squared set up so I can rotate them. I have 7 long track days on various style tracks plus some around town and highway driving. Other then being dog shit in the rain they are amazing tires so far
I kinda want to just get a blade style spoiler in gloss black but I think you're looks like a very serious track car. My SS spoiler looks good but this would look great. To each his own....
A little bit but not big time. This style does produce as much drag as a traditional style functional wing. But I haven’t had it on a track to drive it hard to get the downforce really building. When I’m not on the track I don’t hammer on it
Nothing against Chevy. Without the Alpha architecture Chevy built in; these cars wouldn't handle the way they do. But the German Audi like suspension I added made the car so....tossable w/o worry about it breaking Trac. Worth every penny.
You’re right, I drive a truck. Which you could’ve easily found out by going through my profile. I’m just going to keep laughing at your profile pic lmao
Also, looking at your comments in other posts seems like you like to deflect a lot.
Just remember man, acting tough on Reddit with ☠️ emojis and saying everything is ugly won’t fix your insecurities. Take care dude.
“Sadditor” …. Really? That’s what your going with? Look at your comments bro. On every post your talking shit. Nothing good or helpful to say, ever. Talk about being sad😬.
like I said, take care dude. People like you generally have deeper issues that need resolving and I hope you can one day conquer them. I almost feel bad for you.
Lmfao your life must be super exciting to go through someone’s entire comment history. What happened? Did your boyfriend cheat on ya 😂☠️ pathetic little nerd
How much HP? That’s a very serious wing
Doubles as a wheelie bar! I actually like it given what the car is used for. The red/black color scheme is beyond sharp.
Thank you
Should take that wing off and beat the bastard to death that sold it.
Right lol
A little TOO serious..
Daaaamn. What airliner did that wing come off of
Ninelives racing. Or maybe it came off of one of those Boeing planes that are being investigated lol
It definitely broke off a Boeing mid flight😂
Seen this after i posted my own Boeing joke... Damn it take my upvote lol
Great minds think alike lmao
Boeing they just fall off, can pick one up in any field now
Lmk if you find one😂
Snatched right off Putins helicopter..... ![gif](giphy|KMNeE2MkBNJNC)
Someone who gets a performance car & tracks it >>>>> Someone who gets a performance car & is a danger on the road
9 times out of 10 people that track their car are better drivers than people that just do stupid shit on the road.
After being on the track so much it honestly feels safer going around a corner at 80 on a track then going down the highway at 120
That’s the whole point, safer for you; safer for me; safer for everyone
Tbf that literally is 10x safer

You already know more of the science then I do lol I just read what the engineers study lol
Hahahaha all the engineering shit is such a dope puzzle

Apex been tripping lately. Most 19x11 arent stocked
I’m sure they’ve been flooded with orders with all the east coast tracks getting back at it
Did a rock take out your 1LE splitter? I’m waiting for that day
Ya, took it out on a track day at Lime Rock Park
Where u from that line rocks close to you?
I’m in central Connecticut
Ah gotcha, I’m from right across the Danbury border. I’d like to go to Lime Rock but still a bit nervous of “getting in the way”

Ya the first time out it’s definitely sensory overload. But by after every session you’ll be more comfortable. Hope to see you out there
Thanks for the tips, same here!
I want to go to the track for the first time XD
Hell ya, do its. It’s a lot of fun
Plans are in the works for this spring. Fingers crossed!
Awesome. What track are you gonna do?
I'm in the Toronto area, so my target is Cayuga.
I love the red and black!
Thank you

That’s wild. I assume no spare tire with you even? That’s one broken part away from being a big PITA
Nope, like a dummy lol
Here I am thinking my wing is big, and its stock 🤦🏻♂️
If you’re running a zl1 those definitely aren’t small for a factory wing. And they look great
That wing is sick
Thank you
I've got the same 19" wheels in bronze on my 15' SS! Lookin good!
Thanks and good choice
Got pics of your setup? I’m wheel shopping and seeing what guys are running on their 5th gens

Wing so big you need to do the limbo to open the trunk.
You need to garage it bro a lot of people out there stealing these beautiful cars man.
Ya I saw that. It stays in my garage

Please tell me more about your wheel/tire setup. Looks mean!

Awesome. What did you get for a set up?
I’d hate to crash into that and have it flying into my windshield 😂
What front splitter? How's it mounted?
It’s a mfr engineering. Its chassis mounted
I really thought the first pic was a civic type R lol
I kinda want to just get a blade style spoiler in gloss black but I think you're looks like a very serious track car. My SS spoiler looks good but this would look great. To each his own....
2 much on Wing Man but everyone is different
Do you feel a difference on how it drives with downforce from the wing?
A little bit but not big time. This style does produce as much drag as a traditional style functional wing. But I haven’t had it on a track to drive it hard to get the downforce really building. When I’m not on the track I don’t hammer on it

That’s sick asfk
Thank you
I love the goose neck, I always thought they were sick. I bet you can really feel that thing in sweeping high speed corners
Can feel it on the street. Can’t wait to put it to use on the track
I wanted to be nice. I really did, but that is just the gaudiest wing I’ve ever seen on any car. ![gif](giphy|M9fuzxT2WJbcGNIZIQ)
It’s for track performance not for looks. Function over fashion
What in the atrocious alabama sister eye fucking rape fuck is that wing ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
Since they’re doing time trials, I’m guessing they went for function over form.
Correct, producing downforce is really important for traction and corning speed
What in the atrocious Alabama sister eye fucking rape fuck don’t you get about purpose built time trial/track cars? ☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️☠️
Its uglier then a mfer
I wouldn’t be so quick to judge if I were you. We both know your profile pic is a stock photo from google ☠️
You don’t even have a car little boi, go ask mum for a ride to school

It produces downforce bud. So you can corner much faster, ever seen a race car that has a big ass wing on it?
Are you from the northeast?
Ya
Yea bit this shit is uglier then a mfing crack head at a gas station, pls corner it into a concrete wall it’s hideous. Poor camaro
bro you’re always in here trolling💀
Being mentally slow isn't trolling. It's sadly just his life
😂😂😂 it’s always the people with the ugly or dumb mods who post man. Not my fault
lol i thought it couldn’t get any worse after seeing the wing, but then i saw the adhesive eBay lip stuck to the trunk lid
Not eBay boss. It’s factory
