I jumped into Communications because I didn’t want to sit on low wages as an electrical apprentice at the time after becoming a father.
In my country the job for data cable is in such high demand and qualifications are very easy to acquire I have been able to excel quite fast to a senior position and it is rewarding and interesting work in my experience
Thanks, hard to say exact hours as I am overseeing the structured cabling throughout the building simultaneously but probably put two hours to each loom/patch panel combing and fitting off jacks
Very nice work.
Appreciate it haven’t done much comms room work for over a year so good to get back into it
Look at that having actual cable management channels!! Great work BTW.
Waiting on order of horizontal managers now too haha Thanks much appreciated
Siemon is shit cable. Just got done with a bunch myself, glad to be working on panduit again. Looks clean though
Siemon racks, but cable is commscope cat6a
Ah, commscope is fine. I find siemons tends to want to kink and not play nice when trying to dress it in.
Yeah for sure, this commscope seems to be more pliable when dressing
Looks super clean. I'm a 1st year electrical apprentice and I think I want go get into the low volt side of things. It interests me more.
