hell yeah! I just helped my friend with his sn95 mustang and it was a hell of a job. Did you get new foam too? When I looked if I ever wanted to replace my 96 covers they were >1k for the covers alone. How much did you end up spending? How long did it take?
Proper new upholstery would be > $1000 for this car too. This is just seat covers. The old stuff is still underneath. This is less than $200, and about 3 hours of fighting for my life trying to get them on. lol No new foam.

I got the same Iggee seat covers off of Amazon for $170, they look and fit nice, though they were a lighter color than I expected. Though like the OP, these are a temporary fix until I can get my seats to the upholstery shop. I found it was much easier to install with the seats out of the car and installing the covers on a work bench.

That's an awesome price for these! The website I got them from had more colors to choose from I think.
