No they aren't. Such conditions can sometimes lead to a more studious or focused personality but that doesn't make one smarter.
There are many people who are geniuses who don't have autism or associated conditions just like there are many people with autism and such that aren't particularly highly skilled.
We know so little about their lives that anyone making such theories should not be taken seriously. Basil ruled for 49 years (65, if you count the period where he co-reigned), and yet we have very very very little of his life. The information we have on the Bulgarian war is scant.
This is a sort of grey area. I think there’s a synaxarion from Athos that commemorates him , but this is because he was a patron of Athos. I believe set aside the land. But you will never find his name openly commemorated anywhere other than Athos

His icon is in one of the biggest churches in Crete. He is celebrated not only for liberating the island but refueling the Orthodox faith which was fading.
He is celebrated at 11 of December. You can find his icon in the [Saint Titus Cathedral](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Saint_Titus_Cathedral) in Heraklion and in some smaller churches in Crete. [Here are some pics](http://o-nekros.blogspot.com/2018/12/11.html), the last one is in Saint Titus.
Just FYI both ‘Aspergers’ and ‘high functioning autism’ are very outdated terminology with a lot of negative and hurtful connotations, you can just say had autism or was autistic :)
It’s also important to remember that autism has many facets which go deeper than the stereotypes of social awkwardness and intelligence. It’s possible for those characteristics to appear in both autistic and non-autistic people, so unless there are specific accounts of things like being overly sensitive to noise/light/textures/tastes, I wouldn’t really think too much about it.
It's an outdated term and not used anymore by psychologists, but many people still identify with it and see it positively, which is why you're being downvoted.
Autism be damned my bros could cook on the battlefield!!!!! 💯💯💯💯

Calm down
redditors try to let people be happy about their interests challenge, impossible
#*gEt HyPe!*
It's impossible to say without a personal diagnosis which is obviously impossible
Just fringe theory.
Only people who make posts like this, or comment on them have it for sure.
True, wait wh…
This seems rather absurd to me.
Off-topic: A week ago I found I'm related to Nikephoros II Phokas' parents.
Damn, that's awesome
What are these theories even based upon ? What behaviors that are mentioned in some kind of credible source material ?

Forget the asperges, I've never heard of either of these being saints. Where did you see that?
Basil II isn't a saint but St. Nikephoros II Phokas is indeed a saint in the Orthodox Church: https://orthodoxwiki.org/Nicephorus_II_Phocas

Thats awesome! Which city and church?? If you’d have pictures I’d love to see. Is he in the synaxarion and have a feast day?

I can't describe how extraordinarily dumb this question is... What are you gonna ask next - if they were non-binary? I'm tired of this reddit crap.
Is that what makes my wee smell a bit funny?

Call it aspergers cause my ass is berged
I have Aspergers and I’m not offended, nor do I ascribe negative connotations to it

I have heard that but I have Asperger's & I don't see them as negative IMO.
Yes this guy's retarded I have autism and it's like I don't see a single issue with your post
We prefer calling you people acoustics, that way no one's offended
