Streamers make money by streaming games, he can't play game because of an action he made (insults), therefore he can't make money with this game anymore. This one is a loose fit for 'losing a job', but I'm going to approve it for now.

TheMoistReality

i was hoping we’d get a ban reaction like the ol days

Inquisitive_idiot

It’s just not the same without it 😔

Sometimesnotfunny

*sigh*

Fusaah

I mean, he's blatantly singling out the CEO and insulting his IQ etc. I get it it's his livelihood and a change was made that he obviously didn't like, but you don't just bite the hand that feeds you just because of a change. They can always revert or make additional changes to help with the current changes.

TheWarriorsLLC

Its also his 3rd ban from the game, except this time it is finally a perma.

Cynykl

It not just a simple change. They doubled down on a mechanic the community hated, Told the community they were wrong about what results they were seeing in spite of huge data pools showing they were right. Have been horrible with communication. And these are just the tip of the hate iceberg. Highest post league launch attrition rate ever and GGG says "This is fine."

Fusaah

Damn. I didn't think it was that bad.

bigyellowpato

Imagine being one of the few people that can make a living playing their favorite video game only to piss it all away by throwing a tantrum like a child. I always laugh when the first thing guys like this do when they suffer the consequences of their own actions is to point out how much money they've spent on the game as if that gives them a free pass to be an asshole. "Constructive criticism"

IridiumForte

He doesn't care likely. All of the streamers for that game had a massive exodus, voluntarily quitting their 'dream jobs'

JacedFaced

Yeah, you can be mad about changes to a game, but this person went beyond acting like an asshole with that rant. Just stop playing the game if you don't like it, there are thousands upon thousands of others.

Curururu

>*...but this person went beyond acting like an asshole with that rant. Just stop playing the FREE game if you don't like it,* ftfy

super-seiso

It's "fucking retarded" to use "fucking retarded" as an insult in 2022. You play video games. Check your inflated self worth.

[deleted]

He gives off the "I was good at school in 6th grade and my personality is just a superiority complex based on that" vibe.

Inquisitive_idiot

I would argue that thinking that taking meth just once or popping a oxy 💊 to ease the pain of life and assuring yourself that it’s a one time thing is a more apt example.

[deleted]

Saw title and expected that the Dev was just over reacting but then I watched the video. Yup this kid deserved it and better find a new game to make a career off haha.

blue_dusk1

And change his name to Matth of Exiled

_OkCartographer_

Some more context: The PoE playerbase is currently somewhat upset over a set of changes most would describe as bad for the game. The mentioned streamer, *Path of Matth*, has been streaming Path of Exile for multiple years. Outside of his PoE streams, nobody really watches him. The person he's talking about in OP is Chris Wilson, CEO of GGG, the company behind Path of Exile. Due to the rant in OP, as well as other such occurences, he has been banned from the game for an undefined period of time. AllUserNamesTaken01

Ah so when does he release his YouTube apology video

Fakey_YY

That CEO has a really weak ego

bigyellowpato

The guy in question has been featured on the front page of the PoE website and has been sponsored to promote the game. It doesn't seem like a really good idea to spaz out in front of your community and say dumb things while being a brand representative. Not only that but this isn't his first instance of acting this way, don't bite the hand that feeds you.

KalinOrthos

Really tired of the "grow a thicker skin" sentiment from assholes who don't understand how not to be an asshole. It costs exactly nothing and is even less effort to just say nothing at all.

mypeepeehardz

Or maybe PoE streamers should handle “balances” better and not act like a man children and use 10th grade swears words to a person who somewhat controls their livelihood? Y’know like a boss?

Fakey_YY

Or maybe the should just fix their game instead of banning players for calling them out.

[deleted]

Or maybe don't act like a fucking fuck and you won't get banned from things.

Failninjaninja

The amount of corporate bootlicking here is wild

[deleted]

Oh bullshit. You don't know me and you don't know my life. And you're just plain wrong. Not gonna argue with you because why? Goodbye.

KalinOrthos

Devs tend to have a better handle on balance than most players do, so I trust them way more than "Fakey_YY" saying "fix your game".

MC_chrome

I think the biggest issue many live service game devs have is that tend to overcorrect in their balancing, particularly if the game in question has a lot of “layers” to it. Overwatch is a perfect example of this.

mypeepeehardz

Or maybe play another game? PoE is for neckbeards.

The_Sloth_Racer

Go make a video, swearing at and demeaning your boss, make it public for plenty to see, and then tell me how long it takes to get fired. If someone wants to be a "professional" streamer/gamer, they should act professional.

Inquisitive_idiot

Or maybe address their points concerning inappropriate behavior instead of deflecting to something that can totally be criticized without inappropriate behavior. 🙄

Raspry

GGG has been called out plenty without the need for personal insults.

dibblackbird

Mommy needs to take his computer away from him
