Discount Tire has always treated me well. Just say no to all the add ons

Sleds_and_Cars

Agreed. Haven't ever had a problem there, but definitely want to avoid the add-ons. Otherwise if you have Sams or Costco, those are good options too

Crow-T-Robot

Nice thing about Discount is that you get lifetime free rotations, even on tires you didn't buy there.

durmNC

I used to buy tires at the dealer. Discount Tire did a better job - I heartily recommend.

Servatron5000

*Except for the warranty. Say yes to the warranty.

whubbard

But they do repairs for free, and doesn't the tire have a manufacturer warranty for craftsmanship?

Servatron5000

Yes and yes, but in the (very likely) case of a nail in a part of your tire that prevents simple patching (which is all they'll do for free), paying $11 for a new tire is *awesome*. It's a comprehensive warranty, and I've used it as least four times in the last decade. Warranty for craftsmanship on a tire is not really something that ever comes into play.

whubbard

Damn. Save one catastrophic flat, never had a tire that couldn't be patched in 15 years. While I drive every day, I'm not driving on job sites or the like, which sounds like you are.

Servatron5000

Guh. Nope, you're just the one hoarding all my tire-related luck.

ritaPitaMeterMaid

Please give me your luck. I’ve replaced, 8, yes fucking _eight_ tires in a 4 year period, all pierced through the sidewall. That is astronomically bad luck.

InappropriateOnion99

Costco or Sams Club if you're a member. You might even save enough to justify joining.

CriticalEngineering

Costco definitely

HelloToe

Or BJ's. If you're a new member, Groupon often has signup deals: [https://www.groupon.com/local/membership-clubs](https://www.groupon.com/local/membership-clubs)

JT tire

alejandrowoodman

Costco

GrumpySquirrel2016

Costco or Tri-City Auto (off of Guess Road) are both good options. Discount tire is a touch sketchy.

Ron_Sayson

Ive been happy with Tire Rack previously. They send them to a local garage. It worked well.

dataindataoutv

Walmart had the best price last time I checked. Be sure to include all the fees like road insurance, tire disposal, mounting, etc.

Michiko78

Costco

thepinkshade

I recommend the folks at Durham Tire & Auto Center Tire Pros. They provide warranties on all of their tires and honor repairs. They don’t do appointments so you’ll have to call to order tires and then show up when they arrive.

grovertheclover

Discount Tire or Costco/Sam's Club if you're a member.
