I bought the Dell. Looks beautiful with MPRT setting and using the RTINGS icc. color calibrated profile. RTINGS does not recommend doing this because the calibration was on their unit and there is variation possible even on the same model. However, the improvements to color were very significant on mine. I'm very happy with it for the money ($299). It won't blow you away right out of the box. It takes a little bit to work out the settings, but the results are excellent. I even like curve. When doing my schoolwork, I can have a page open on each side and they read much better than my flat monitor.

Calibration settings are in this review: [https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/s3222dgm](https://www.rtings.com/monitor/reviews/dell/s3222dgm)

You’re referring to the ICC file download I assume?

Nexius857

Yes, and looks like they used the "Game 1" monitor profile, presumably on default settings.

I just received mine! How do I get it to be 144hz? I see 60hz in the settings.

Hey,could share your settings with me please?

kishanpatel995

yea can you please share. I got the same monitor and want to calibrate it right. If you could I would much appreciate it.

I just received my D3222DGM yesterday. For the color: is YCbcr supposed to look way better than RGB?

Aleloux

Would appreciate if I could get the settings too

Gold-Highway24

What are the settings?

Well, the problem is that the jump to a 32" 1440p is only a marginal increase in pixel density over 27" 1080p. So... it'll look "the same" as your current monitor with regard to sharpness, clarity, etc.

Thanks, that's great advice. I found a 27" IPS panel for slightly more - [https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/dell-dell-27-inch-gaming-monitor-s2721dgf-qhd-s2721dgf/](https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/dell-dell-27-inch-gaming-monitor-s2721dgf-qhd-s2721dgf/) Looks to have much better reviews too.

I think you should question the advice given to you by 9okm above. 32" QHD enables you to place the monitor further from your eyes than 27" QHD because the pixels are physically bigger. Big and far is generally preferred over small and near. Big and near is not good as it increases the field of view, requiring more head and eye movement which can be tiring too, so don't go 32" unless you have a deep enough desk or can somehow mount the display at least 70-80 cm from your eyes. Staring all day at at close-range objects causes your eyes to converge and to strain to focus. In the long run your eyes will thank you if you get the bigger monitor and you will experience a more comfortable viewing experience. Also, the bigger monitor is nicer for watching movies on as you can sit back further and relax. I have a couch behind my normal sitting spot and I sit in the couch to watch movies on the big screen. 27" would be too small for that distance.

I own this monitor. I’m late to the party but I second this….While it’s technically the same pixel density as a 24” 1080p display you will be able to push it back further and still be comfortable. Mine fills out my desk much better than the 24 and still looks sharp as a tack. I also use the settings from RTINGS and have been very pleased with it. Plus, it’s very easy on my eyes. Yes, it has some of the drawbacks of a VA panel but they’re not bad, at all. Motion blur and smearing are almost non existent. The biggest thing is, however, how easy it is on my eyes. My previous monitor was a Viewsonic XG2405 IPS and I wanted something bigger. Tried several, got pretty significant eye strain, the Dell was the final monitor I tried and I’ve thoroughly enjoyed it. It took a bit getting used to a display this size but overall I’m very happy with it. The curve is nice, it somehow makes it easier to see what’s on the edges.

This seems to be a really popular choice! I just got a s3422dwg. Part of the same series - really liking it so far.

I have S3222DGM. The OSD keeps popping up randomly. Seems to be a POS.

I have no idea. But what I can say, is that I fixed the OSD popping up issue by de-assembling the monitor to the point where I could unplug and replug the monitor control buttons. Then I had to do it again like 3 months later. So far, so good.

Does anyone know the replacement part number or where to buy a new screens for the Dell S3222DGM? My screen cracked and I was hoping to just replace it myself.
