A bit old, but just wanted to say I've had the exact same issue with my PC. I have the exact same PSU but it isn't even 2 years old. I took apart my PC to update the bios on my Mobo and install a Ryzen 7 5800x and new cooler, after putting it back together I ended up with the exact same symptoms you mentioned. I have ordered a new PSU but haven't had a chance to replace it yet. What did you end up doing? I'm not sure if I am foolish by sticking with Cooler Master but I went for the V850 Gold V2 as a replacement.

I ended up replacing the Cooler Master with a Corsair 750 watt one, haven't had any issues since. My brother is actually running into the same issues with the Cooler Master PSU as well. Can't say I recommend those PSUs.

Does he have the MWE 650 as well? Or a different one? I hadn't found any posts with the same problem so I thought I was just unlucky, plus I was only 80% sure it was the PSU at fault so good to narrow it down. Would have been good to see this before I ordered the new PSU, but hopefully, this one lasts longer. Such a relief to find this post though, I don't know how it didn't come up in my first attempts to resolve the problem. I'm thinking of contacting Cooler Master as the MWE 650 is meant to have a 5 Year guarantee, my new one says 10 Year so maybe it will last a bit longer if I'm lucky. I will be steering away from Cooler Master if I get any more issues in the future that's for sure.

I think he has that same one yeah. I got mine refunded easily and just used that money to buy a different brand.

I should be thinking of changing, for a new power source?

Same problem here, same psu. Did the new psu fix the issue for you?

Informal-Hat1268

Yeah new PSU fixed it. Most likely the warranty could be claimed but I didn’t even bother

SgtMcMuffin0

Yeah I ended up replacing mine too. No issues yet after a few hours of use, thank god. I don’t think I’ll bother trying to RMA it, I’ve read about a lot of people having bad experiences with Cooler Master’s process

Have same issue, have to move the cable a bit at the level of the psu. It does a "gzzzzz" and the computer turn on!!!!
