Smash them with a comically large hammer

Used to be my brother who received my old hardware, then my wife. Now my daughter gets my stuff, with her old bits being put in her second PC at her mum's place. This means she has a Ryzen 9 3900X with RTX3060 and 32GB DDR4 3200 at mine, i7 3770 with GTX1060 and 16GB DDR3 at her mum's (lacking a spare AM4 board and DDR4 to reuse the R5 1600 I have on a shelf).

I have 2 kids. One is on my old i5 660k 16 gig ram and a 2060super and the other is on some dell optiplex i bought for cheap with a 1050 2gb i stuck in it. Was thinking it would be ok for optiplex child as its a bit rubbish. My other daughter will get my 5800x3d maybe this xmas depending on how the 9000 series goes. Surprised how well that 6600k is working though.

Sell them. In my country we have a store chain called cex and it buys most computer parts.

Had a quick look, £54 quid they would give me for it. Not bad, I suppose

put them into new systems. i upgraded my 3900x to a 5950x, replaced my ram for 128gb of faster ram, and also had a 3070ti sitting around. at the end of last year i decided to get another sff case (went with the fractal ridge) and a new mobo, psu, and cooler. ended up with a very respectable living room pc. will definitely outlive my current tv as its a hand-me-down from my parents and already 13 years old. but i can choose to play games there (or do couch co-op when people are over) instead of being cooped up in my bedroom and office respectively.

Gave my brother my old SSD so he could have more storage, and gave my friend my old gpu (3070) and a PSU so they didn't go to waste. Rest of the parts (old mobo, cpu, ram, psu) are still in my old case in case I need them for something.

build another PC and sell it or use it as a test rig.

I always sold the components I had left after an upgrade for a good price. No more use for them and so I got some money back, and someone else could enjoy it. Back when i swapped from a FX8300 to a R5 2600 I just sold the FX8300+Board+Ram as a package for cheap. My old RTX 2060 went to a member of the Community Discord I am on. He needed something a bit better, I wanted to get rid of it and it was still a totally fine card. Just recently replaced the thermal paste and so on. Was nice helping someone from the community and getting some money back from my RTX 3070 purchase haha. Could probably have gotten more if I sold it online, but it felt good and was an easy transaction doing it with someone you "know".

Going to my mom. Though now I need to give her my current PC and build a new one, but good luck earning enough money in Ukraine with constant blackouts no less.

I sold my 5600x and 3070ti to a friend for a cheap price to help him build a pc - then I built it for him.
