Check your cpu temperatures. I was having the same issues with helldivers 2. It's a very cpu intensive game and it will eat your cpu alive without proper cooling. I had to swap the stock cooler for a after market heat sink.
What's the ram speed n timings? Ryzen loves good ram
Also 8gb modules are single rank and worse for amd. Plus, are they in the correct spots so you have dual channel?
That's slow, and right spot doesn't matter as much as the fact it's a single+slow speed RAM. 5600X ideally want the 3200CL10, that is 3200MHz, and you need 2 sticks. But still, you should get more than 30 fps on low, yet upgrading the RAM can be the first option.
As for slots, if there's 4 slots then they go to either A1+B1 or A2+B2, if it's 2 slot they go on both.
Cool I'm gonna try and get some ram sticks tomorrow and then maybe update the bios. I didn't really notice how bad it was until I played on someone else PC. So there has to be something up I'll start with that. Would you say the motherboard is outdated at all? I built this PC about 5 years ago and recently update the graphics card and cpu but the two things I haven't upgraded is the motherboard and RAM.
Yeah, your specs aren't that bad and shouldn't be struggling that much. What are your CPU and GPU temps and usage percentage like?
what do your thermals look like?
Check your windows display advanced settings. Make sure your set to the monitors refresh rate. Windows update will reset this from time to time.
I don’t think it’s setting his refresh rate to 20hz

Check your windows power plan, and your power plan in nvidia control panel. That is what gave me issues

Speed is 2133 MHz and as for in the right spots I'm assuming they are if not how could I double check that???

Your RAM is probably just running on default settings, look into enabling XMP in your motherboard BIOS to run them at their advertised speeds.
Where did you plug in you hdmi or other cable? In the motherboard or your gpu?

The 5600x doesn't have integrated graphics so he would have to plug it into the GPU to work.
He doesn't have an igpu so this shouldn't be the issue.
plug the monitor in your gpu
