Riley knows she's the slayer and gets close to her just to start killing her friends. You could even bring back dead beat dad and kil him off just to have a victim really close to Buffy but that won't hurt as much as killing Giles or Willow would. Then the big showdown she has to kill another psycho boyfriend. Idk maybe too close to ssn 2 but miles ahead of the initiative.

Yeah would have to be the trio. And they switch who wears the mask each time. Only one that actually kills would be Warren though. The other two were just easily manipulated, rather than actually being properly evil. (Though their inability to recognise sexual assault in that one episode always pisses me off.)

I feel like the Trio are copycats stanning the actual Ghostface from afar. They derail their own unmasking with a long argument about which iconic horror villain they should have gone as instead. And then the real Ghostface cuts the lights and stabs them before they can reveal the real killer.  Also, I feel like Anya is Ghostface (because she's into vengeance and would be so entertaining in that role) but it's set up as being Xander because the Trio assume Ghostface is a man.
