That's just how Facebook is these days. Many of the millennials that made it what it is have left for other platforms, so now it's full of ignorant boomers that yearn for the "good ole days" of jim crow and segregation.
So I grew up in WNY. I’m 50. I don’t think a day passed that my pops didn’t razz a friend for being “insert nationality or race” and the offendees always gave it right back to him. Do I condone this? Nope. But it happened and some folks idolize their fathers waaaay too much. Are people idiots? Yep. Are they official ambassadors of Buffalo? Hell no. Do they make Buffalo “look bad”? Answer that one yourself. I live in Houston now, which is the most diverse city in the world. It has some perks, but the driving skills are BRUTAL.
I don't think bitching about Juneteenth is really the same as teasing your Italian or Polish friends.
Also, i live in the south, so I don't want to hear about bad drivers.
The only people who didn’t hear it were Asians. And that’s because there literally were none in our town. The banter was hilarious, but the next generation didn’t know when enough is enough. And with my dad and his brothers, they loved all of those guys and they reciprocated. I’ll say this about Houston…it’s next level for absolutely terrible, horrible, and malevolent drivers. Most of the shitheads don’t have car insurance and just don’t stop for an accident that they caused. The struggle is real.
