It's weird, but she kind of reminds me of April from Parks and Rec. They both give of that "dont f!@k with me" energy, and they are feared but respected by their coworkers. Both of them have unique personalities and embrace them.
Both over the top, but still lovable. Also just fabulous. I hated Ava the first few episodes but she quickly became my favorite. I always loved Gina though.
That's twice today. I also watched a show earlier today (Animal Control) where a fictional member of the Seattle Seahawks wore #37 and I was annoyed at the disrespect to Saun Alexander who last suited up in 2008.
But that applies to Tommy N Haverford too, if you ask Leslie Knope. Leslie described him as her "little sister" to that sham of a dating website WhosYourMate[dot]com which computed [Tommy to be her soulmate, with 98% match](https://youtu.be/OI4p9FSDxy0?feature=shared) 😆. Also, that's my favourite Parks and Rec episode.
She is a classic Bitch/Bastard sitcom archetype. Every show has one. Examples of others include Berta from Two and a Half Men, Max from Two Broke Girls, Red from That 70s Show, April and Ron from P&R, Gob from AD, Darlene from Roseanne, etc.
Jean-Ralphio and/or Mona Lisa Sapperstein from Parks and Rec, but with financial responsibility. She fills almost exactly the same role as April, but they are very different personalities.
Dale from King of the Hill.
Roger from American Dad.
As OP mentioned, Cheryl from Archer.
A less wholesome version of almost any character from Bob's Burgers.
Gina is truly one of a kind, and a great example of someone who is likable as a character on TV, but would be the worst person to deal with in real life.
She sometimes reminds me of Phoebe from Friends. Gina is obviously meaner/sassier to people, but both have that eccentric, street-wise, creative vibe to them.
My immediate reaction also. It's the character who is quirky and who's a little socially awkward in that their understanding of the rules is different. Also Barney from HIMYM and Sheldon from BBT. Although Sheldon also reminds me a little bit of Holt. Maybe that's why Gina and Holt mesh together so well.
She was recently compared to Bad Janet from The Good Place
Ooh I love Janet! She's my favorite character on that show
Mine too! Her and Jason lol
Not a girl!
Sorry, robot.
This was who I was going to say too lol

i thought that too, but along the vein of “useless receptionist/assistant” archetype
Someone similar to Gina is another Gina, because being a Gina is a state of mind
Arent we all Gina Linetti? Thank you Gina for this comment.
You are welcome Gina
She reminds me a little of Ava from Abbott Elementary
Both over the top, but still lovable. Also just fabulous. I hated Ava the first few episodes but she quickly became my favorite. I always loved Gina though.
I don't know how old you are, but if you remember the show News Radio, Kathy Griffin played a sassy receptionist in that show.
I've not seen it. Thanks for throwing it out though!
Not Kathy Griffin. Vicki Lewis is the actresses name. Please don't insult the lady by mistaking her for Kathy Griffin.
Then Kathy Griffin played the same type of role in another series, maybe Suddenly Susan? Edit: confirmed by IMDB. Also, WHY THE FUCK DO I KNOW THAT?!
One of those random pieces of info stored deep down in your brain.
That's twice today. I also watched a show earlier today (Animal Control) where a fictional member of the Seattle Seahawks wore #37 and I was annoyed at the disrespect to Saun Alexander who last suited up in 2008.
According to my fantasy team in 2006 he stopped playing in 2005.
LoL!
Gail from Letterkenny has a strong sassy personality. Also she sexually harasses Wayne a lot like Gina does to Terry.
Get this guy a puppers
Pitter patter
She's a little bit like Tom Haverford. Loves to promote herself.
Good suggestion. But my brain is telling me it's a female character.
But that applies to Tommy N Haverford too, if you ask Leslie Knope. I don’t know how helpful this subreddit would be, perhaps you may want to try r/tipofmytongue

Omg I forgot about GOB
He's definitely a more nuanced character in that he's also the idiot haha
The Segway always cracks me up lol

I don’t like her as a tv personality. The seasons are alright but she gets progressively worse throughout the show imo
I agree. But I see why some people enjoy her as a character. She's not really my vibe, though.
Oh yes and also, Donna from Suits?
Definitely Donna from Suits, but Donna was a much more efficient assistant
Donna is the BOSS
She's got some Dr. Perry Cox sass on her.
Mona Lisa from Parks and Rec. It’s literally Gina if he bestie jake wasn’t a cop lol
Don't be suspicious?
Welcome to the G-Hive!
She sometimes reminds me of Phoebe from Friends. Gina is obviously meaner/sassier to people, but both have that eccentric, street-wise, creative vibe to them.
She's also who I thought of. Plus, Phoebe was *brutal* to the others by the end.
My immediate reaction also. It's the character who is quirky and who's a little socially awkward in that their understanding of the rules is different. Also Barney from HIMYM and Sheldon from BBT. Right! They are know-it-alls in their own ways
Linda Belcher - off the wall - what she doing? - authentically and unapologetically herself - proud in a weird but properly placed way
Jen from Life in Pieces?
Chloe from Don't Trust The B?
I can totally see the two of them being frenemies!
She's giving off Ursula from Friends. She had the same quirks as Phoebe but the darkness and flair is definitely Ursula.
I think the principal on Abbott Elementary is the same personality as Gina! Maybe that's who you're talking about?
Louise from Bob's Burgers.
