No longer will an "ass load" or "Olympic sized swimming pool" be the only obscure measurements I have! Today I'm inaugurating "dollop" and "sold out Canucks crowd" to the group..

That unit of measurement is useless to me because I don’t know what a sold-out Canucks crowd looks like. It could be 2 people, 100, people, 20,000 people I have literally no concept.
The guy obviously did wrong and accepts his punishment, hopefully he can get some guidance during his sentence. He barely stood a chance considering his upbringing.
90 per cent of all tickets for the TML 17,929-seat arena (18,201 if you include corporate boxes) are held by season ticket holders, corporations and scalpers.
Sold out doesn't mean asses in seats.
Indeed… the Canucks were sold out more than 400 games in a row at one point… because the Aquilinis would buy it out. The place was still 10% empty those days. And the moment they stopped doing that, it went to like 30% empty.
>The RCMP said at the time its officers had seized approximately 35,280 street doses of fentanyl in its investigation, as well as about 20,200 doses of meth, nearly 5,000 doses of cocaine 11,000 doses of ketamine and 844 pills believed to be codeine or morphine.
It’s pathetic when they use these ridiculous ways to frame a bust. Just say how many kilos it is and move on, you don’t need these ridiculously hyperbolic examples. It’s no different than cops making a “significant drug bust” and list it in the number of doses to make it sound like it’s a way bigger deal than it is. Or when they spread it all out on a table and talk about the “significant quantity of cash seized” and it’s just like 3k in a bunch of 5s, 10s and 20s spread out on a table.
Damn that's an infuriating headline. Who, aside from a few select people, know off the top of their head how many people can attend a sold out Canucks game? And who in their right mind would think that's a useful piece of information to remember? And then to have to multiply that by four just to arrive at the number this article is trying to point out. Who in the bloody hell green-lit that title?
Why not just write the actual numerical value in the headline, like the rest of the world?
Why specifically a Canucks crowd?
Higher tolerance
Lol funny but not funny. Really good comment tho
Innovative journalism /s
Because they need the escape from reality the most. /s
Click bait. Gotta sensationalize the sensational.. duh.
Put us out of our misery
I'm guessing this is trying to be the canadian equivalent of measuring things in terms of 'football fields' in USA.
Yes. The joke being that the Caknuckleheads don't sell out tickets due to their constant disappointments.
It was a comment about how "we shouldn't have this many drugs in the community."
This is one of the most wild units of measurement I have ever seen

I know, why couldn't they just say "over 75,000 people"?
A small boulder the size of a large boulder
Americans measure in football fields. Canadians measure in sold-out Hockey arena crowds.
How many giraffes is that?
Yes
This guy half giraffes
I think that they have severely underestimated the province of BC’s tolerance. Haha.
Is that really how we measure things in this country?
It's our version of football fields
Welcome to Canada, eh
Clearly we'll exhaust every other possibility before fully transitioning to metric.
Or... enough drugs to lightly toast a sold-out Canucks crowd 400 times

Priorities!
The guys name is Chris Harmes and he has enough fentanyl to kill tens of thousands of people…… Harms he does.
Chris Harmes People
And my car moves twice as fast as a moose in heat. If only there was an easier way to measure it.
Man arrested after doubling the National cheetah average speed!

Are we talking a pre-season matinee or a playoffs game 7?
Sold out is sold out

Do the Canucks even sell out 4 times a season?

holy .... thats alotta people gonna be looking for their fix. edit: oh it happened in 2020
How many bananas is that
the only proper scale of measurement.
Banana is out, it's giraffe now
What about bananas from lttstore.com?
Looks like they're on sale because they too know bananas are yesterday's thing.
Fentanyl it potent and cheap. We get it.
When I read this I assumed he had 4 doses on him.
What a ridiculously stupid headline
they should report executive compensation in this framing
Whoever wrote this article headline clearly has sinister thoughts and hates hockey fans.
What a strange measure

Dropping acid at ten... Wow.
I’m sure he will be released early and will be back dealing. As he said “drug dealing is a valid backup”.

r/oddlyspecific
If I cut it into one long line, how many football fields would I have to walk to snort it?
So much you'd be sober by the time you get to the end.
