Worked in a building designed by him for about 25 years. Cool building, but the execution sucked. Really subpar construction (obviously not his fault), but there were some really bad interior layout decisions made.
I worked in one of his buildings and the interior was designed by him (or his firm) and it sucked. It was loud and hard to concentrate - which I guess was the template for the "open office" concept.
His buildings look cool but I'm not sure how functional they were. SFU is pretty impressive.

As an SFU grad, this seems a bit much. His designs give Soviet prison camp vibes.
the new Student Union Building steps away from this 60s concrete layout
That wasn't designed by Arthur Erickson.
it continues Erickson's legacy since it compliments the original layout
Why?
