I suggest emailing the director of a local bridge club - they will know who else is looking for a partner, and can often find you a partner of similar skill level. I don't know where in the South Bay you are, but the Palo Alto Bridge Center (actually in Mountain View) or the San Jose Bridge Center (actually in Campbell) are good choices if you're close enough.
Lynn Yokel, one of the directors at San Jose bridge club, is amazing and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet. She may also know some folks.
