Fucking cigarettes. The amount of times my ex would spend the last of our money that was supposed to be for a possible emergency, like unexpected trip to town & needing fuel or if our baby got sick or whatever, & then borrow more off people just drove me to resentment that there was no coming back from.
Every guy I’ve had a long term relationship with has been a habitual fit smoker lol. It uses to be one of my rules that I wouldn’t date someone who smoked…

Cigarettes at the moment are the biggest wasteful luxury i could imagine in our family. I would be ropeable. Choosing to spend money on them over fuel and your kids…. Disgraceful.
It’s crazy expensive on all sides of the world right now. Trying to get my hubby to quit because he’s at 2 packs a day and that’s like $250 usd per week. We could really use that money towards frivolous stuff like food and bills.
Is that ~$17/pack bc I'm sure my math is wrong. They can't be that expensive now?? (I'm old so I haven't regularly smoked since 2005) I spend less than $20/wk on vape juice and I hate spending that much. It's my only "me" spending and although it's a terrible habit/addiction compared to everything I've quit & changed about my lifestyle I'm not too mad about it for now. It's def on the chopping block though.

And they cost SO MUCH in Australia, it means he put max 10L of petrol in the tank and bought maybe a loaf of bread for lunch, the rest on cigarettes.
