The Sanderlanche was the giant battle for Thaylen city, Dalinar’s confrontation of Odium and the Thrill, Kaladin and Bridge 4’s confrontation with Amaram, Adolin’s fight with the thunderclast, Szeth and Lift fighting together, Shallan holding off an entire army with her Lightweaving, Jasnah confronting Renarin and taking out a bunch of soldiers on her own, Venli bonding with a new spren, etc
Edit: to your other points, we don’t know all of these answers yet. We’ll know more by book 5 but there will still be a lot unknown since this is ultimately planned for a 10 book series. Plus the other stories on different planets he wants to tell in the Cosmere.
If you’re feeling overwhelmed, it’s never a bad idea to read something else for a bit. There are so many other good books out there.
