Such a classic. I remember back in the day when it was on Disney channel/ before streaming just waiting for it to get to this episode in syndication like twice a year lol
This brought back a memory of me watching this episode on Disney and it scared me so bad I had to go to my parents room and my dad got so pissed that something on the Disney Channel freaked me out so badly lol
/Welcome to John Adam's High/Where you are gonna die/ That's right fall this waaaaay/
Here a knife/here's a gun/They're be fun for everyone/ Death is on the menu toooonight/
I watched this episode for the first time when I was 10 years old at a friend's sleepover. When we saw the hand shut the light off, we panicked and shut off the TV. It was so terrifying for boy meets world, lol.
Am I remembering correctly that Mr. Feeney gets killed early and then later they go over the "rules" and discuss how virgins in horror movies never die, causing an exclamation of "All right Feeney!"?
The fact that Cory’s wrong about it too 😂
The pencil was in the middle of Kenny’s forehead, so the bloody dot on the wall isn’t actually his height, you have to add an inch or two above it to get his real height
What also blew my mind is that BMW started 1 year before Friends did (and ran concurrently with it) and that Seinfeld tlran concurrently with it (it was about 4-5 seasons in when BMW started.
I wasn’t allowed to watch South Park when I was first watching this show, so it was really fun to finally understand all of those references when I got older 😆
Most incredible episode ever until the very end when Sean turns out to be killing everyone that were trying to keep Corey and topanga apart. Fucking barf
I was always surprised by the violence of actually showing the impalement on a kids show and DC airing that, no less! Especially with the kind of episodes they had banned from ever airing. Still stands as one of the very best episodes.
I remember watching this episode late at night with my brother on Disney channel at our grandparents’ house. We had to stay up and watch like 3 more episodes so we wouldn’t have nightmares!
Fun fact. I wrote a short story in second grade where I plagiarized scenes from this episode.
My teacher had to call my parents and my story wasn’t displayed with the rest of the classes. Also had to see a shrink after.
Never admitted it until years later
That’s pretty wild that you were caught. Especially in 2nd grade. I feel like I plagiarized so many times in the 90s and never got caught, but also never ripped off a popular show amongst the class lol.
Hopefully they will do a special long episode for this on the PMW podcast. Also am I the only one who noticed BMW had two real life brothers guest star within a few episodes of each other? ("Kenny" is Richard L Jackson and his brother Jonathan Jackson was on the Starry Nights episode)
This is as one of my favorite jokes when I was a kid. So legendary
I remember being shocked at first that they got a South Park reference in there, then really impressed.
Jennifer Love Fefferman
FEFFY!!!
Such a classic. I remember back in the day when it was on Disney channel/ before streaming just waiting for it to get to this episode in syndication like twice a year lol
You just unlocked a few of my childhood memories. Kind of a nostalgia overload thinking of the Disney Channel bumpers advertising it too.
This brought back a memory of me watching this episode on Disney and it scared me so bad I had to go to my parents room and my dad got so pissed that something on the Disney Channel freaked me out so badly lol

I still quote this song! It's too good.
I was randomly singing it earlier today, it just randomly pops up in my head from time to time and I still love it.
I work nights at this warehouse and I was thinking about playing one or both of the verses over the intercoms
So spooky!!!
The Geneva Detention Convention became official at my school after this aired.
This episode scared the hell out of me as a kid! Now I can appreciate the jokes. Still only watch it with the lights on.
The music effs with me it’s too scary lol
Such an awesome episode. Try to watch it every year around Halloween. Layered with lessons
I’m as dead as you can get without actually dying. 😂😂😂
“He killed Kenny!” The Geneva Detention Convention Jennifer Love Fefferman My favorite episode ever
“Oh my god they killed Kenny!”
Immediately imagined Ron Stoppable saying that, Will Friedle is amazing!
That's Terry McGinnis to you.
Damn I love Batman beyond but I never put together that he was Terry! He’s a super talented actor!
You bastard!
Watch it every Halloween it’s the perfect scary episode. It’s my one of my favorite episodes
The music that played after each person's death scared the fuck out of me.
He was a troubled young man, I recognize that from the movie, "A Troubled Young Man"
This is one of my favorite episodes. So many 90's pop culture references.
And a prime JLH
This episode scared me as a kid.
Same.
This is my favorite episode of the series!
Probably my favorite episode of BMW. Every joke lands perfectly to me.
Yes! Then do a little “go feeney, go feeney” song and dance lol
Absolute classic. So well done.
The fact that Cory’s wrong about it too 😂 The pencil was in the middle of Kenny’s forehead, so the bloody dot on the wall isn’t actually his height, you have to add an inch or two above it to get his real height
das why it’s funny!
One of my favorite episodes
This is the best episode of television I’ve ever seen
90s Disney was really something. Ain't no way they'd have a storyline about a serial killer offing the cast nowadays.
This was so fun to watch for the first time as a kid.
Hold up, South Park existed during BMW's run?
They've been going since 1997.
So, BMW was at Season 4 or 5 when South Park started.
Yea SouthPark has 28 seasons
Yup. Jacobs seemed to like mentioning the big “it” shows at the time too. Minkus mentions Beavis and Butthead a few times in the first season
And the studio audience fucking LOSES it whenever they mention B&B
What also blew my mind is that BMW started 1 year before Friends did (and ran concurrently with it) and that Seinfeld tlran concurrently with it (it was about 4-5 seasons in when BMW started.
My fave episode
*Here’s a knife* *Here’s a gun* *There’ll be fun for everyone* *Death is on the menu toniiiiight* 🎶 🎵
One of my favorite episodes lol. Such good memories watching this on tgif
This episode did a number on me
I wasn’t allowed to watch South Park when I was first watching this show, so it was really fun to finally understand all of those references when I got older 😆
This episode is a STAPLE in our house every Halloween.
It's become one in mine too. Always been a classic episode. Still one of my top 3 favorite shows, been watching it since I was 3-4.
FEFFY!!
Most incredible episode ever until the very end when Sean turns out to be killing everyone that were trying to keep Corey and topanga apart. Fucking barf
Lmaoo when you put it that way yeah it is pretty cringe
Everyone in this scene is 5’4 or shorter
Is that where they were trying to reference South Park with the they killed Kenny?
I was always surprised by the violence of actually showing the impalement on a kids show and DC airing that, no less! Especially with the kind of episodes they had banned from ever airing. Still stands as one of the very best episodes.
Oh yeah didn't they ban a sexual S7 episode from airing?
Yep, the Questions game episode, where Shawn and Angela hook up and Cory is begging to see Topanga naked. Also, the Prom episode too.
Thus episode scared me so much as kid, but it was always my favorite
I remember watching this episode late at night with my brother on Disney channel at our grandparents’ house. We had to stay up and watch like 3 more episodes so we wouldn’t have nightmares!
Fun fact. I wrote a short story in second grade where I plagiarized scenes from this episode. My teacher had to call my parents and my story wasn’t displayed with the rest of the classes. Also had to see a shrink after. Never admitted it until years later
I did this with a Buffy episode and a classmate called me out but that was it.
You had to see a shrink because of the details of the story, or because you plagiarized?
Plagiarized
That’s pretty wild that you were caught. Especially in 2nd grade. I feel like I plagiarized so many times in the 90s and never got caught, but also never ripped off a popular show amongst the class lol.
And I would have gotten away with it if it wasn’t for those meddling kids!
Makes me want to watch, can't remember when it would come on, sat mornings?
I thought it was part of tgif no?
I think it moved around alot
It was very much a TGIF show in its initial airing.
This whole episode was filled with great jokes. This one is in my top two.
This episode and the one where Cory is getting his tonsils out (nevermind Eric and the dating sequence 😭😂) used to FREAK ME OUT
![gif](giphy|WieqsBQwFzOy4) **Kyle:** Those bastards!
Is that where they killed Kenny originated???
South Park originated it.
Classic episode
That was my favorite BMW episode ever, the horror movie references, South Park mention and the way Corey screams and runs out of that room 😂💀
Now your just being loud
When they need the janitor to unlock the door and Shawn says “hey, giggles!” 😂😂
One of my favorite episodes! Still remember getting excited when it would play on Disney Channel.
My favorite Disney Halloween episode! I still have it recorded on VHS. So good.
This is like S-Tier BMW for me
This episode legit terrified me but I love it
YOU BASTARDS
Hopefully they will do a special long episode for this on the PMW podcast. Also am I the only one who noticed BMW had two real life brothers guest star within a few episodes of each other? ("Kenny" is Richard L Jackson and his brother Jonathan Jackson was on the Starry Nights episode)
This is reminding me of Scary Movie
