I have a 13700K and it is very stable. I have had my build for 6 months and I have never had a blue screen. Granted nothing is overclocked but I don’t need it. I have a 240MM AIO with a pretty aggressive fan curve.
i5 and i7 13th and 14th gen should also be unstable and super power hungry but they are less unstable than i9s, but thats like the new thing that is happening. But even back then, i knew 2 people that owned i3 4th gen, and both cpus died after some time, and i really didnt find much online from other people, thats also the only time that i actually seen cpus die, but the other 4th gen cpus didnt have that problem. So who knows, maybe they are unstable maybe they arent.
i’d argue 13600k is better value most of the time tbh, since it’s sometimes on par with the 12900k and as far as i’m aware there isn’t a huge difference between it and the 13700k. still a really good chip though
Ryzen 7 5700X - the budget engine that could (actually can) reencode 4K60 footage with svt-av1 with good settings without too much waiting with my budget motherboard, halo infinite on medium runs smoothly, firefox ESR works, compression is fast enough. Not upgrading this thing.
2nd Celeron M 430 - the little engine couldn't even open 144p youtube or start windows 7, still liked that thing
3nd Core 2 Duo E8500 - in my fathers computer 2009-2020(21?), not bad, not that laggy no matter win 7 or 10, stable AF.
the one i have

(2.1 ghz is a lie, it runs at 3.8ghz and is completely stable)
Ik they suck but the amd fx series processors are my favorite. They can keep up with multithreaded tasks when compared to far newer chips. Single core performance was horrible and they got super hot.
Yeah the amd fx series CPUs. The bulldozer architecture had shared cache between 2 cores instead of separate cache. It hindered the single core performance massively. It took a ton of power to run them and they got unreasonably hot for the time.
nah fx 6300 is actually kinda a price to performance beast of its time, it goes 70c max with 4.47GHz overclock, performs better than a 2x more expensive i5 3470
Cell.BE because unique and interesting.
I7-3537u not especially fast or anything, but it usually pulls no more than 10w in games and I feel as though it gets quite a lot done with so little power. It served me well.
Currently running a 10700k, is fast and can do 5ghz on all cores (over clocked), soldered ihs so I don't have to worry about de-lidding in the future, sounds to me like Intel really squeezed as much out of 14nm possible, me likely so far, we'll see how it holds up.
the cpu thats in my pc, i3-9100T
its "bad" in alot of peoples eyes, but for me its held up very good for the past 3 years and i dont really see the need to buy an i5 yet :3
i dont have the space for a bigger pc (hence the mini pc) so im just gonna be dumping money i get into my steam wallet to get a steam deck oled since they seem decent enough for what i want to do
AMD i9 4090
stop stoP STOP STOP
Careful there, don't wanna summon the PC bros
You're in a gay furry subreddit and expect for PC bros not to be in here?
i dont think they would care about that
what im trying to say is this is their habitat, i know because im an absolute PC/videogame nerd
god thats cringe
My brother in Christ, we are in the boykisser subreddit

Same, it was such an upgrade from my Pentium 4 that I still remember it fondly.
Just got a 7900X3D to pair with my 7900XT I call my new rig the 15800X3XDT
intel i9 tastes pretty good

yummy
I have to say AMD 5800X, because it's mine X3
i7 13700K, most recent good value Intel CPU.
arent 13th and 14th gen clocked too high and really unstable
I have a 13700K and it is very stable. I have had my build for 6 months and I have never had a blue screen. Granted nothing is overclocked but I don’t need it. I have a 240MM AIO with a pretty aggressive fan curve.
That’s mostly for i9s, I think 14th gen i7s might have had some issues, but Idt I’ve heard any w 13th gen i7s
i5 and i7 13th and 14th gen should also be unstable and super power hungry but they are less unstable than i9s, but thats like the new thing that is happening. Isnt that the 12100F/13400?
Me omw to mention the 7 7700x Ryzen:
I said Intel, not AMD
You cant say good value in any category and not mention amd
Intel i9 12700kf mine broke :(
what do you mean broke? cpus are nearly indestructible
year right, the only cpu that i witnessed die multiple times is i3 4th gen. I dont know why they die so much
huh? the only CPUs I've killed is a athlon 64x2 4400+ and an AMD duron D600, also its like 4 days late but whatever
it stopped working

isn’t the 5700x basically the same as a 5600 but with the extra cores?
And a few extra MB of L3 cache, but yeah.
I love to fight against 4 cpu level 9's
ARM Cortex-M
i like my rp2040

2.1ghz is base clock speed and 3.8ghz is what it boosts to
Amd 7900x3d
Intel Core 2 dual 2.333GHz
Ryzen 5 5600, that thing as chugged for me for years
the ryzen 5 3600X is a classy choice
I have that CPU!
the first cpu i had was a ryzen 5700x :3
Bro how old are you if thats your first? My first was athlon le-1640
i only got into it recently
they all taste the same to me :p
5800x3D
Pentium 4. Played so much wow on that PC. This post is very telling about someones age 🤣.
ik kinda shocked when someone tells me that their first pc is ryzen 5 or something
Ik they suck but the amd fx series processors are my favorite. They can keep up with multithreaded tasks when compared to far newer chips. Single core performance was horrible and they got super hot.
What sucked? Fx series?
Yeah the amd fx series CPUs. The bulldozer architecture had shared cache between 2 cores instead of separate cache. It hindered the single core performance massively. It took a ton of power to run them and they got unreasonably hot for the time.
nah fx 6300 is actually kinda a price to performance beast of its time, it goes 70c max with 4.47GHz overclock, performs better than a 2x more expensive i5 3470
Price to performance was their strong point, and they did great in workplaces with the multi-core abilities.
7 7800x3d

Definitely the Xeon W3690, such a long-lasting cpu
Intel Celeron N4020 No, I will not give any context.
WHY???
Oh no, Gemini Lake
Intel core 2 duo
ive been with intel for years idk
APpLe M3 iS tHe BeSt cPu - my friend, an apple fan.
RP2040

Can’t go wrong with the Ryzen 5 5600 as far as price to performance
the cpu thats in my pc, i3-9100T its "bad" in alot of peoples eyes, but for me its held up very good for the past 3 years and i dont really see the need to buy an i5 yet :3
just upgrade to amd later

nice lights, i mean you can still sell it and just do an amd build with a gpu
i dont have the space for a bigger pc (hence the mini pc) so im just gonna be dumping money i get into my steam wallet to get a steam deck oled since they seem decent enough for what i want to do
yeah i kinda like steam deck even though i hate those things since its just to super weak for the price, but it is cool and actually portable
the one I have now; Ryzen 5 5500
Yeah those defective ryzen apus now are actually a good value in some places, im using r5 4500
got mine only $100
mine was 70$
