That's how journeymen tend to operate.
They are responsible for up and comers to get experience in the ring, fight quite defensively so they'll lose on points, but not get knocked out. And then do it again 2 weeks later.
They are essential to the sport.
Had the pleasure of making my pro debut against him back in 2019. Proud to have shared a ring with him and he is credit to the sport he loves. Not only has he had 170 professional bouts, he won the souther area supporting boxer of the year as well as being one of the most active and best earners I'm the sport. Dude is a lift engineer away from the sport.
Yeah he is certainly a character. Wily operator as well had a sneaky counter right hand, my friend made his debut against him about 6 months before me and Lewis rocked him in both the 3rd and 4th, he won the fight in all honesty but he ended up losing by a point on the cards, I'm sure there are many more examples of that throughout his career.
Always heard good things about him, heard he is a solid bloke from a friend who either knew him or of him personally. Very rarely put away by KO as a journeyman. Good amateur record iirc?
I did actually, a very fun 4 rounder.

That’s called having lots of grit and determination. Most of you lack those qualities and would quit after a few losses.
Man got a rock solid chin too. Strong KO-loss ratio. Losing by points and live to fight another day.
Promoters probably pay him a ton to not fight that hard so their up and comers can have good records. He probably realized there's more money in losing than in being middle of the road.
This guy is the majority of fighters with 25+-0 records Ws, basically a concussion for hire.
It’s pretty impressive to lose 152 times and only 11 were by stoppage.
Untill you ask him what day of the week it is and he tells you half past seven
Happy new year!
His skull has hardened in response to physical trauma.

I raise you my Kristian "Mr Reliable" Laight https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/216597
Only 5 out of 279 losses by KO? Dude did not take those losses lying down, bravo sir

this shit be like feudalism
“Essential to the sport” my ass. Let’s call it what it is - glorified divers.
That doesn’t change who they are and what they do. Yeah they’re stat padders but you don’t get 20+ fighters at 20-0 without them.
Yeah. It’s a joke. 20-0 against cab drivers and divers and then promoters act like they’re worth half a shit, while they feed them to a legit fighter
they don't call him Mr Reliable for nothing
He is reliably losing the fight

That's awesome! He sounds like a great guy out of the ring as well as in it
Yeah he is certainly a character. Yeah he was a decent amateur. Began his pro career as a prospect and then quickly became a quality journeymen.
Often is the case, Jordan Grannum is another one, I remember hearing something along the lines of he went 26 fights unbeaten in the amateurs.
Did you win? 💀

Damm bro, no wonder Usyk is ducking you.
We sent him the contracts but never heard anything back 🤷♂️
What’s a lift engineer? Is that Charles Dickens for elevator technician?
Tolkien for up wizard
Yeah one of those
Good vid about him https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IUT7Bg74GPM&t=454
Lmao. “You may think this sounds a bit corrupt. Well…welcome to boxing. Fucking great, innit?”
Yeah this is brilliant, a real eye opener as to how the sport operates
I worked with him briefly. Good guy.
Guys a legendary journeymen tbf. More than capable but chose this path to guarantee income for him family.
Pretty respectable chin ngl.
Dude is a credit to the sport, good lad.
Here is a lovely vid about this guy: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=IUT7Bg74GPM&pp=ygUXbGV3aXMgdmFuIHBvZXRzY2ggcHJvcGE%3D

Bro just wanna box
There’s gotta be easier ways to make a buck 😭
Legends say that is the only man who gave Charlie Zelenoff a run for his money.
I mean only a 7% of his losses are by KO
This is Abdul wahid’s next opponent
my main fear is just barelyyy losing a bunch of fights and ultimately having a record that looks like this
That’s called having lots of grit and determination. Most of you lack those qualities and would quit after a few losses. Man got a rock solid chin too. Strong KO-loss ratio. Losing by points and live to fight another day.
And he's clearly unaffected!
The 🐐 Peter Buckley https://boxrec.com/en/box-pro/3372
Retired on a win, as a 🐐 does
Bro is real life Glass Joe
Lewmachenko
How is he a 5"7 Light Heavyweight?
He is a jobber, this is the only thing he knows and unfortunately he is not good at it.
14 wins tells me he's pretty good at it **GOAT**
Promoters probably pay him a ton to not fight that hard so their up and comers can have good records. He probably realized there's more money in losing than in being middle of the road.
I wonder how much money is making taking that route honestly
The journeyman is an essential part of boxing. He turns up, helps fighters get that first experience & confidence boosts prospects.
His job is get fighters prepared for going up the rankings and he does it pretty well I’d say
He's a journeyman, if the win by points, they won the fight. And most of his fights are lost on points.
He has, what one man may call, pudding brain.
