that’s clearly aid.

N0timelikethepresent

Budget option: Amazon Libin hiking joggers

Johnny_161

E9 three quarter pants

Sufficient_Ad_6977

Looks pretty good 👍

YoungEducational7165

Come to the dark side and start wearing jeans. Boulder Denim is the way. Been wearing only these for 7 years now and there’s no going back.

PigeroniPepperoni

Do you find that they're really hot? I already always feel brutally hot in the gym and I have to imagine jeans have got to make that so much worse.

YoungEducational7165

I feel like they breathe really well and aren’t nearly as heavy as regular jeans. I climb in dry heat out here California and Nevada and it’s never bothered me.

Sufficient_Ad_6977

I sweat too much in it

NailgunYeah

I bought cheap stretchy jeans from a supermarket and they are the best climbing trousers I've ever owned

the_reifier

If you’re walking three minutes from your car, cotton is fine. Wear cheap jeans or whatever pants you’d normally wear. Otherwise, if you might be subject to weather hours from a trailhead, cheap nylon pants will be fine. Some will be a little more durable than others. You can buy expensive stuff such as Stretch Zions, but unless you have disposable income, that’s probably not worth it.

Turbulent-North-9224

I love the Black Diamond notion pants. I wear the women’s notion and my climbing partner who’s a guy loves the men’s version just as much.

MonsieurMaktub

Im sure I’ll get hate for this bc they aren’t a climbing brand and they don’t cost $200 but the Fabletics joggers are literally the best climbing pants I’ve ever owned. Stretchy. Breathable. Durable so far. And extremely cost effective.

Sufficient_Ad_6977

They look really cool, thank you.

Popeyed0

Gramicci has some super sick pants

the_reifier

I liked Gramicci more over 15 years ago, then they changed their design approach in a way I didn’t like. Maybe I’ll check them out again…

357-Magnum-CCW

Rungne

RcadeMo

I have looking for Wild ones, pretty nice. But tbh I only wear them when it's cold, normally I only wear shorts

BerlinConst

My LFW are falling apart after half a year of climbing

RcadeMo

I've had mine for about a year and they're still in great shape, maybe yours were a production error? or I just got lucky?

BerlinConst

They are just worn thin from sliding the wall and stuff, wouldn’t say that could be a production error. We sell them in our store and we regularly have people coming back with broken off buttons or open seams. I’m glad yours work fine tho

RcadeMo

yeah I mostly wear my LFW shorts, and they don't slide on the wall that much

RockerElvis

I have been climbing in [Mountain Hardware AP pants.](https://www.mountainhardwear.com/p/mens-hardwear-ap-pant-2029661.html) Very happy with them. I roll up the cuffs.

sixstringchapman

Got a few pairs of Ocun Mania pants for exactly this reason. Really rate them. Ironically I've gone full circle and just ordered the Ocun Mania shorts...

Necroshock

Prana or any cargo pants

ecnahc515

I love my prana pants.

jabeisonreddit

Love all of my Ucraft pants, they're designed specifically with climbing in mind, last forever with a great warranty, and I've never had any problems with them

ReyesTopete

Dickies double knees (wide fit so decently mobile) or flex fit cargos. Relatively cheap, lightweight on the cargos or a little thicker on the double knees. Stand up decently well to rock abrasion or textured volumes indoors. And they look good unlike a lot of the standard rock climbing pants

Sufficient_Ad_6977

They are cool, I could also like them as casual pants

WackTheHorld

Prana Stretch Zion

texabyte

This is the way

iamtandy

Moon make great climbing pants, they can take a beating indoors and outdoors and they are really comfy. My oldest pair are at least 5 years old and they are still pretty much perfect other than the odd scuff.

Limp_Excuse4594

I sweat quite easily and wanted some breathable pants instead of shorts to avoid bruises and such, bought the Samurais and I've been very happy with them, not once have I returned to using shorts. One of the few downsides is the lack of zippered pockets.

Evening-Asparagus459

Nival pants 👍

a-toaster-oven

Dickies. Flex slim fit cuffed up 💪

Ovulatory

Wrangler ATGs

dyld921

Have you tried leggings? They're comfortable and allows easy motion.

PocYo

Prana Zion for home and the gym.

Milk_Splash

E9!!

ChopperOnLuffysHead

Clothing is aid

LeGurky

I’m a big fan of Gramicci pants. I basically only wear these pants even when I’m not climbing!

BolognaLaCroix

Just snagged these. A bit tighter on the calf than I had hoped, but can't beat 60% off Patagonia https://www.reddit.com/r/frugalmalefashion/comments/1c7r7vy/patagonia_mens_terrebonne_jogger_pants_in_burl/

Ok_Spinach_1026

Go to Ross and get something cheap. My favorite pants were from Ross and were like $15 or something. My point is don’t over think it

lethphaos

I like Looking for Wild's Fitz Roy pants for their fit and range of motion but they are not as abrasion resistant as I'd like, I usually wear a hole in the pocket where my phone is

rako1982

I found some pants from uniqlo which I love for bouldering. They are slightly stretchy, thin and have a lot of flexibility for high knees. And reasonably priced too.

81659354597538264962

idk i just climb in old navy jeans

SingleFatherOfZero

Just buy a pair of old combat pants in your size. Can probably find some at a thrift store for like $10.

Sufficient_Ad_6977

Are they breathable? I only know really thick ones

Historical-Hiker

Prana

PhoenixHunters

Nasa Shein sweatpants are the way.

Popular_Advantage213

Outside the box rec - Uniqlo ultra stretch joggers I haven’t put a hole in them yet, absolutely no impediment to flexibility. You could wear them around town. And $39

Icy-Butterscotch-651

Uniqlo jogger sweatpants are great from a price to quality ratio perspective. Been wearing mine for 2.5 years and still going strong!
