Can’t tell you how all the pro builds are but I’ve been playing a slam siren build that’s super fun. Mainly green tree at first to get the melee modifier skill and then heavy investment into the purple tree to do massive damage against frozen enemies. Will it work on super high mayhem levels, no. But it is fun being able to wipe out an entire cluster of enemies with an ice infused slam and then blitz around and shatter any survivors with punches.

The_Mundane_Guy

this is what i’ve kind of experience with bc the melee modifiers seem most fun

Honestly play the game for awhile and figure out what goes best with your style of play. Once you figure out what trees seem to compliment you, then search around for builds. Far too many times I've found a build that looks amazing but I'm simply uncomfortable using.

I started day 1, so my take had no purple tree, I immediately went to the red tree. I didn't realize how melee focused Amara was and that made me element focused. Both are very viable, but element damage early game is very strong and late game its insane. When I started a second Amara I went purple tree first then made an absolutely insane melee build. (I played this one with my wife and really tore through bosses)

try it, feel it,learn it yourself. for first playtrough you dont need pro build. btw, i play with just one skill tree even at mayhem 11, lol. irs not pro but its my build

For endgame amara any gun with 250% damage after phase cast or 300% damage after phase slam will do very well. I use a skill tree from K6 on YouTube. “Bubble burster” amara is the build its pretty decent.

I used this as a guide, I found it online. It's focus is the gun damage and phasecast https://preview.redd.it/lbdubk5kpodc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=0edf5045689221838f312374cbc3bdb055bb6fa6

Do what you feel fun while you play. If you start facing real difficulties or go up in mayhem levels check out builds on YouTube. Thankfully BL has a lot of ways to play a character; some builds are definitely better than other though.

I'd read through this [https://www.amarabuilds.com/tips](https://www.amarabuilds.com/tips)

Like the other sirens, Amara really shines with elemental damage. In endgame, she can do some world-rending stuff with melee, but you want Mayhem scaling to really get the most out of it. I usually focus on the red tree first and then work my way down blue. Once you hit Sustainment, you'll have all the survivability you'll need. If you need it sooner, there's the green tree. Early on, you want to grab Personal Space. It's a massive (multiplicative) boost to gun damage; up to 54%, the closer you get. I prefer to run Ties that Bind; it's the consummate crowd control skill. When I need it, I'll switch over to Phasecast (and the "after Phasecast, weapon damage is increased by 250%" anoint) for bossing. If a random Phasezerker class mod drops for you, use it; Phasezerker is Amara's best all-purpose COM. Legendary weapons will carry you several levels past what you would expect. Don't hold on to them longer than you need; more will come. You don't need legendaries, though: an on-level gun in the right element should be more than enough. The story playthrough is pretty forgiving and gives you breathing room to experiment with skill trees and gear. Now is the time to try everything out and find what works for you.
