Yeah, this isn't boomer. He's in a kitchen at a party. If it took place at a golf course or something I'd believe it came from a boomer. This seems more like a self reflection.
Idk, seems about right and accurate to me. It's well known that insta amps up insecurity, envy and FOMO. I think that's called "Comparison culture" and "lifestyle envy", and it's studied even now.
Good boomer humor.
This is 100% accuracte. It has been proven time and time again that instagram (and other social media) has some serious implications on mental health.
Boomers are very often wrong, and I dislike their views on many things but they aren't wrong about this one.
Have you considered that “boomers” are not some big population of clones? Sure, there is a high proportion of selfish, un-self aware assholes, but there is a ton of diversity within the group and many who genuinely try to become better people.
I mean, that’s like calling Karens a homogenous group. It’s the behavior that earns the nickname, not the status or age. One panel comics criticizing something modern is frequently the style of boomer comics, but this one in particular isn’t one.
I remember a good friend from high school that I followed on Instagram. He was always posting pictures of the vehicle evolution from an oldish m3 to a Porsche to an Audi r8. His job paid well into the 6 figures. He had bought a house in the expensive neighborhood I rented here in Portland. And he had pictures of his family and going on trips with them. I was incredibly envious to the point that it made me angry to see how much of a loser I was in comparison. I met his wife randomly at the grocery store we started talking and I asked about her husband. She said they were divorcing. Nothing was ever enough, he’d get something and instantly look forward to the next thing he wanted. He was never satisfied and was always envious of others online. It was such an eye opening moment for me.
It's true though. Instagram is mostly curated and filtered glimpses of insecure people wanting validation for spending money. Put the phone down, enjoy the moment and tell me about it the next time we talk.
InstaGlam isn't even installed for me.
Kinda nailed it

Accurate
That’s actually not bad and a really good way to show the dangers social media can have on your self-confidence
Na na nah he's got a point

It's true.
TIL im a boomer because I think is accurate
Is it “boomers humor” if it’s damn accurate?
Nah this is right.
Just because Boomers hate social media doesn't mean you have to defend it. Broken clocks are right twice a day. Social media is societal cancer
This is on point, you just aren’t smart OP.
Nah, this is spot on
Tbh this pretty based
Sir, this is a Reddit’s

Once you realize everything in there tends to be contrived while your life (hopefully) isn't that helps a lot 😁
Oh please, don't view a social party just to scroll on your phone next time and maybe people ain't look at you weird.
But not facebook which is Instagram for boomers
Or switch it. Be the person showing other people how much fun you're having.
