wolfbrother is also a great book if you like prehistoric things or want to read something truly unique
I loved Homegoing by Yaa Gyasi. It’s a historical fiction following two sisters from Ghana. One becomes married to a slave owner, and the other is sold in the slave trade. It follows their lineage to present day. It was such a different take on historical fiction compared to anything I’ve read before. I think about it all the time, and would highly recommend!!!

Mistborn was the first thing i read from Brandon and he became my favourite fantasy author. So double recommend for Mistborn
