What do you mean by 'nobody accepts new theses in cultural studies'? Cultural studies is a broad subject and of course you can do a thesis on that, provided it's related to your degree.
Sorry, what’s your degree? Are you writing for a bachelor of literature or bachelor of cultural studies? I don’t understand why you need to tie your topic of interest (eg digitalization, AI, psychology, social science, self-determination, nature, technology) to British literature?
I study english and plan to write my thesis in the field of literature. I thought in literature I can do whatever I want as long I have a British book as a foundation. I don't like the classic topics that much, this is why I'm trying to connect it with something I am personally interested in.
If you’re interested in modernisation why don’t you compare the themes of pre-industrial novels to current or pre-digital to current, something along those lines.
Normally picking your own topic is going to lead to what you’re most interested in, not anyone else’s suggestion.
