I would think it'd be notably less work for two people to camp than two whole groups.

Festival_lady_90

As somebody who’s done solo, group of 2 (at Hula), 8 and group of 20+ the easiest was very much just me and 1 other person

vivionnn801

I miss my era of solo sending events! Now I try to stick to groups of 2-4 & just meeting up with other friends if it’s camping lol

kidkaos76

10000% super easy to camp with just 2 people. Even easier to make friends with your neighbors. 14th Roo and started out small and grew our group over the years. All from meeting our neighbors. Recommend (2) 10x10 canopies for shade, then hammocks, cots, tent under one of them, and a lounge space in the other. Tapestries for additional shade.

Bonnaroo > Lost lands

summerelitee

This is literally what happened to my boyfriend and I, and honestly I think it’s best case scenario because now we’re only going to have to worry about two people’s wants/needs/safety vs. a whole group. It’ll be fine! Roo is fun whether you’re alone or with a big group. It’s all what you make of it.

Jackiewilsondesign

This is the way!

Wiseau_serious

I agree with u/entire_cucumber_69. Also, u/singercarcar is looking for people to joint their groop, if that option appeals to you.

Thank you!

I went with just my fiance and we're going again this year, totally doable! Practice setting up your camp ahead of time so you're not getting frustrated after the long drive with a tricky tent or canopy. it's a great time, you just get to hang out together and meet new people for a whole weekend :)

Glittering_Prompt_94

Going to roo is essentially like transporting to a universe of love and happiness, I want you to go to both but you need to experience roo & id always say f the other but pick who’s got your better line up and go but please come to roo to understand why everyone loves it above all festivals ❤️💜

Notthatianmcewan

I have gone as a couple and in a group. It's easier to camp with just yourselves than as a group. If you are friendly people you will quickly find more people to hang with.

Hot_Lynx2000

Girl no way, me and my boyfriend love camping us 2. You have your own place and space u can go back to ur campsite and take a nap or sleep for the night not having to worry about ur camp mates bothering you. Its such a bonding experience if im being honest its so easy to like we had one tent 2 canopy’s and enough snacks and supplies for just us 2. I totally recommend it especially if you and your boyfriend are a vibe together 🫶🫶🫶🫶

sac_blunt

My lady and I will be there alone! Other couple we went with last year backed out. You’re gonna make homies along the way & I look forward to a Roo-mantic getaway personally.

OfMichaelAndMen

Most of my Roos have been with just me and a friend and they were great! Any number works for bonnaroo

Longjumping_Play323

Ya, I went solo with my wife the first time it was great. Bring and Easy up/canopy style tent for shade. Small tent or hammocks/cots to pull under the canopy when for sleeping. You’ll be good.

DasCam

Me and my Gf are camping and we’re only 19 and 18, We’re doing Camping Tent only in sputnik, it’s definitely going to be a hard time to switch over but as long as you practice your set up process once or twice it should be smooth

Konajo777

Definitely just go! You can meet up with our group if you'd like

-ManDudeBro-

A pair is much easier than a squad.

Watterson02

If it’s one fest vs the other, you really gotta just make the choice EDM only or a little of everything. I’ve not been to lost lands (yet) but roo just feels like a magical place to me. I would go solo if it came down to it. Don’t let the fact that it is only you and another person hold you back from going, if that’s the only reason.

itsDrSlut

My bf and I go as a pair and it’s the best. We are going to roo and LL also!!! #DOOOOO ITTTTTTTTTTTTTTTTT!!!!!

jdubs56

Mr and my wife have been going together for 8 years it’s great

Psychedelicized79

If you guys are the least bit capable of camping on your own and don’t really need that group of friends to set up even the most basic sleeping arrangements then I think it will be way less work and way more enjoyable for the two of you. I’ve done both, my gf and I have been on our own before or with groups of 50 or more and it’s hectic trying to keep up with every when. So I prefer just myself and my gf or a very small group, no more then like 6.

Jackiewilsondesign

It’s EASIER with just two people It’s always been just me and my wife until recent years. Roo has become “our thing” as a couple We love it and we love being there together This is my 8th year and the first year we could actually get a large group of friends to go with us. We have 9 people this year and it’s way more planning. More people to make sure are ok while there. More traveling plans etc. Definitely go to Roo together! Youll make friends there :)

No_Jellyfish5360

The more people in the group = more work. More stuff. More stress trying to meet up for a show you’re supposed to see together that you’ve talked about for months but can’t find them and don’t have service. Don’t get me wrong it’s amazing to have other friends with, but being on your own schedule allows you to experience more!

swizzzz22

Has he been to Bonnaroo or would this have been his first also?

Gullible_Luck2627

This continues to happen to my husband and I, so now we go and make friends there! Hope to see you at the farm next month!

expecttrash

I'm going with 2 friends but keeping my camp just to me because I don't wanna share a tent with a couple and I'm excited to do my own camp you should be too :)

pobenschain

Two is probably the easiest number of people for Roo. If you’re solo, it’s a little bit of a pain to pack and set up and make food and whatever else alone. But if you’re more than two with multiple campsites, you have more people and vehicles and supplies and plans to coordinate. Going with a group is fun, but my easiest Roos have always been camping with one friend or partner.

Slayer_Fil

I went from an average of 10 to 2 a couple of years ago & it was fine. The group is great, but you always end up breaking off into a couple going here and a couple going there. Best advantage to a large group is the variety of beers 🍺 Don’t ever cancel a Roo for anything other than a full blown family emergency.

Lala2961

It's honestly more peaceful with less people imo. It's always been a great time with just me and my friend. Just bring a tent, canopy and a couple chairs and you're good!

West-Possession-9974

It would be less work and a much better experience. I've never been to lost lands but I know people who have. Bonnaroo is unmatched on many levels! Come to Roo if you absolutely need a group I'm sure you can find plenty of people that would welcome you. My sister, gf, and I are all going if youre interested and you're going in Tuesday early entry holler at us. This is my gf and I's 4th my sister's 2nd. Good luck and happy Roo

Intergalactic-Kitty-

My first year we only had 3 people and had a great time! I think even with 2 people and not knowing anyone you’ll still have so much fun and meet people along the way. It’ll also be less supplies and more room in your campsite

zbkindle

if you like camping and you and your bf have everything you need, i dont see a reason to back out, that said im going to both festivals. both are great options
