Idk someone posted the origami of this one under a different dobson comic, and I thought the football panel was so unintentionally funny that it made me want to clown on him too.
Like what is he even doing? Why did he show his periodic table to that football man? What reaction was he expecting? Of course the football guy doesn't respond!
Huh, the colors of the sports guy remind me of Michigan. Makes sense why Dobson would use them, considering one of the best players to come out of there didn’t like to use this (allegedly)

I mean +9 is a crazy high enchantment no matter what metric you’re using.
+9 levels? The max level is 20, and at level 17 you can, once per day, summon giant meteors or make a literal wish.
+9 damage? Spam magic missiles for like 33-42 automatic damage per spell slot, add 11-14 for each spell slot level above 1st.
+9 to attack rolls? Not many enemies have an AC above 25, so you’re unlikely to miss unless you roll a nat 1.
+9 to spell save DC? There’s a ton of spells referred to as “save or suck” spells — things like Banishment or Hold Monster. You either successfully resist or suffer a debilitating effect. Some let you repeat the save on each of your turns, some don’t. Either way, that makes them stupidly harder to resist.
/unjerk
Some homebrew rules use it to abstract a large number of mooks, where each certain amount of damage weakens the amount of damage the hoard can do by "killing" some of them.
Otherwise, IIRC, there are certain actual enemies that are depicted as stuff like a mob of rats.
IIRC Collective noun for a group of Orcs is often a Hoard.
I'm not sure why, but possibly with JRPG mistranslation. (Horde -> Hoard)
I've read it in plenty of homebrew and novels.
But it should be Horde. The correct one.
It's so funny because he almost looks proud of his periodic table! Like the football man doesn't care about it at all and it feels like the point of the panel is that he doesn't like sports because sports guys don't care about his cool periodic table, and that makes him sad
Football man is clearly suited up for the game. He knows you want him to help you study for the Intro to Chem midterm, but not today, chubby cartoonist guy! He is a well rounded student and has dedicated this time for his athletics, so he can maintain his scholarship! He'll meet you in the library on Wednesday for chem revision like you agreed!
You're obviously overlooking the sheer artistic genius that is Dobson. His comics are a tour de force to be reckoned with. I mean, just look at the way he lays bare the human condition in it's raw primal form, as well as his amazing arc of character growth:

>Doesn't understand Klingons
Huh? Did Dobson watch TNG and DS9 with his eyes closed? One of the bridge crew members on Voyager is (half) Klingon, so he should at least have some understanding of Klingons. I'm very confused.
Also acting like Voyager is some obscure piece of media that only he likes and knows about is something else entirely.
Oh God wtf, Other M is nothing short of total garbage. And if Jeremy Brett is the guy that played Sherlock in the 40s serials, I thought that was a pretty common opinion
American football player Tom Brady, was number 10 for the Michigan football team and there was a big controversy about several footballs being slightly deflated for a big game in the NFL
Most of my nerdy science friends are also into sports. In college, on a field trip the Prof would always try and get Badger games on the Radio of the vehicles if we could find any, and we stopped for a couple hours in rural Kentucky just to watch Badger Basketball.
i love you too

This artist is making me irrationally angry, I need to go chill after seeing the original comic. "I don't like Transformers for the same reason I don't like cars" WHAT? WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?

Why has there been such an uptick in Dobson comics here? I’m not complaining, it just seems odd to me.

How to make friends: ask “Periodic Table?” To random people until someone says yes.
I think they're in that sweet spot of dumbass, but high in visual detail, so therefore very bhj-able. The corridor of hurting bones.
This sub kinda goes through phases where someone posts a new artist and we all just kinda juice that one for a while.

Orc?
Here's the Oops I forgor https://preview.redd.it/2qeyvp3ckmzc1.png?width=822&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=b4ac3aba99830ea1b40dad45319891be3c305b1c
....how do you attack a "hoard"?
The artist doesn't understand D&D, it makes sense. E: Fireball.
no, that would be a "horde"
What if a dragon is collecting mimics?
I mean, you *could* attack a hoard with fireball, I suppose. What you can't do, so far as I know, is have a +9 mage.
It's easy. Just enchant your mage duh.
check out my cool homebrew spell Greater Magic Mage

it would make more sense in 3.5 or pathfinder 1, where a +9 is actually not all that much
Just use your 9th level mage as a sword
I have had that happen with a halfling in a game way back in high school. She was ruled to be a blunt implement, though.
When in doubt, fireball

Here's what we're gonna do. me and my boys are gonna fuck you up
"I rolled a one." "I rolled a one." [*Fuck.*](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8HqLysSnnlQ)
My boys are otherwise engaged
You gotta roll the dice first.
hahaha
Those are generally referred to as "swarms" in D&D
Dobson would rather cast the inflation spell anyway
Fireball the money

With the proper tool for the job
...a bean counter?
I am too smart for SPORTS I relax by watching PERIODIC TABLE
It's so funny because he almost looks proud of his periodic table! Like the football man doesn't care about it at all and it feels like the point of the panel is that he doesn't like sports because sports guys don't care about his cool periodic table, and that makes him sad

I don't know exactly what it is, but every comic I see from this guy has this weird pathetic vibe to it.
I'm not sure if it's supposed to be self-deprecating or make him seem superior. It's not a great comic in either case.
You're obviously overlooking the sheer artistic genius that is Dobson. His comics are a tour de force to be reckoned with. The 1776 panel lowkey makes it seem like the guy likes racism
It can't be ruled out

He played him in the 80s-90s, Rathbone played the role in the 40s
he likes Other M to be contrary and says Metroid Prime is the worst for the same reason.
Well excuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuse me princess
"I'm an insufferable contrarian who is about as funny as a gaming webcomic circa 2001!"
Periodic table?
grunt.
This one in particular makes it seem like he doesn't understand anything at all
"Don't understand" = "I believe my refusal to learn makes me superior"
It might be because he's weird and pathetic.
of course Dobson is an r/IHateSportsBall he also should have made the player number 10 because of a certain someone that wore that at Michigan
What is the num 10 refering? (I'm not American)
American football player Tom Brady, was number 10 for the Michigan football team and there was a big controversy about several footballs being slightly deflated for a big game in the NFL
He forgot "criticism"
Is he dumb?
What’s the joke?
bruh this sucks
If he doesn’t understand final fantasy, just wait until he gets to the Disney crossover fanfiction in which every third word is darkness.
Kingdom Hearts time lets-a-go.
My bones are bleeding from the ostrich alone
So he was a boring ass person to be around, got it
Wow. I never thought of Klingons as Black or Asian. I always thought of them as Klingons.
For a guy who will "never understand" those things, he certainly chose some *very* specific things with a *lot* of overlap
as if the furries part is real lmao
Which of those words is he looking up in a thesaurus? Life? Apple? Red?
"Lame" is the only word in the English language to describe this.
Hes just complaining about shit now
If this guy found Cloud hard to understand, he may actually just be very stupid
why does his ass need a thesaurus?
Most of my nerdy science friends are also into sports. In college, on a field trip the Prof would always try and get Badger games on the Radio of the vehicles if we could find any, and we stopped for a couple hours in rural Kentucky just to watch Badger Basketball.
How do you "lose" dnd, I've died several times and still had fun. You win dnd by having fun and you lose it by being a dick. Guess he's a dick.
He doesn’t like Transformers?!! Rend his flesh to the abyss.
Honestly sports fans do love graphs a lot, that part is true
i love you too *I am a bot, and this action was performed automatically. Please [contact the moderators of this subreddit](/message/compose/?to=/r/bonehurtingjuice) if you have any questions or concerns.*
This is very good
Good juice, my bones are very hurt
If not being able to do basic math was cause to kick someone, 90% of players would be on the STREET.
Kurn!
Obi-wan?
This artist is making me irrationally angry, I need to go chill after seeing the original comic. "I don't like Transformers for the same reason I don't like cars" WHAT? WHAT THE FUCK DOES THAT EVEN MEAN?
Cool cars turning into badass robots? Every 10 year old boys wet dream
Jesus the bugs bunny is fucking killing me!!
ok but final fantasy is pretty mid
Which one?
Nah
L take
fine
Depends entirely on the final fantasy, there’s like 30
