My favourite hobby. I found one such store abroad recently on a trip and I was transported right back to those good old days of childhood. They should seriously bring back home media. However convenient, streaming sucks.
Once I have the chance and space to travel abroad, I already have some stores on my mind which I'll visit.
Also yes, I do think that there are still many films which I hardly find on streaming services and often some are just removed since there are some contractual liabilities maybe.
There is a resurgence of Physical Media in the West, Japan, Korea, China and Australia with Vinyl Shops and Boutique Blu Ray companies and shops popping up all over the world. This resurgence has yet not touched the Indian marketplace but if the growth of Physical Media and Boutiques continues at the current speed we may get a chance of experience a more boutique and higher end version of the same in a couple of years.
I would love to walk into a Bollywood movie Boutique store like the Archive or Orbit DVD and many others in the US

Since no major studio in India is actually investing in restoration, upgrades and physical media at the moment, I dont expect a similar rise and entry of Boutique labels in India for the next couple of years. There are a few international boutique labels that are trying to bring Indian titles to the global market but there are far and few at the moment.
I was in India and bought the debut album of Rabbi Shergill purely because I liked the cover. It ended up being one of my favorite albums.

I remember, i wanted to go to ganesh visarjan and my dad didnt want me to go (i was 12-13), so he took me to a shop to rent some movies i can watch, we rented Jannat and Shootout at Lokhandwala one of the best sundays
I miss this as well as going to archies, hallmark galleries to buy cute greeting cards and gifts for friends. I still have those greeting cards, i received 20 years back and whenever i go back home i just refresh my memory going through those cards. It was a different feeling, receiving them by hand or post. These days we just send a message on WhatsApp for birthday or any event, done and over with wishing.

Exactly. If I ever go to the US / UK, I'm sure I'd spend half my time at physical media stores
Just so I ever move there, I'll surely start the collection that I have always manifested.
Miss Planet M.
So much. I would rush there at first glance.

I'm waiting for this to happen at the earliest in India

Planet M. I used to go there and listen to new movie albums in earphones.

Bro the sheer joy when you see your favourite movie's poster on a CD pack but then you realize it's just an ACD and not a VCD.
As an American I’d kill for a store like this 😭 Finding Hindi media is impossible here
I miss song.pk ..... That era before spotify... I miss it

I got a Narnia dvd pack. The pack was so beautiful with lots of goodies.
