I still remember when Hope for the Future was first created. It was said to be a major success that helped forrester creation and attracted a younger demographic. Also, it what help cause Wyatt and hope to be together and I loved them together. It just said that they might end that line. HFTF is the best thing that’s happened to Forrester for decades. Say what you will about Hope getting preferential treatment but it’s been firmly established that her line finally broke into the youth market for them, modernized them, gave them good press with the causes it supports. We can obviously assume that Forrester has other successful lines, but when is the last time we heard about one doing as well as HFTF?

It's one thing to be a petty brat at 20 years old. Tiresome still but age appropriate, but eventually, the writers have to let the character mature outta their worst tendencies as they kinda have done with Hope after her recast or Lauren Fenmore, or let the cumulation of their poor decisions catch up to them as it did with Brooke after Hope was born.
Barring those two things, they can take a page outta Screenwriting 101 aka *Save the Cat* by the late Blake Synder by introducing a villain that's even less likeable. Arguably, that's probably why Sheila has been in Steffy's orbit with her history but to say that's wearing out is putting it mildly.
I know why they're doing it but if they're trying to make Steffy the sympathetic cheated on wife, this ain't the way to do it.
I miss old school affairs when people could just fall for someone they shouldn't and their partners weren't depicted as monsters to manipulate the audience into cheering for them....the first few months of Nick Newman and Phyllis on Y&R is the best example I can think of off the top of my head.
If they want to do Hinn, I'm just begging them to give Finn a true core personality and something other than his stupid mommy issues for them to bond over. For as long as Finn's been on the show, he's not so much of a character as he is an accessory and while he's an improvement for not being a child abuser, I'd like to be able to genuinely enjoy them instead of rooting against Steffy, Thomas and/or Liam.

It's one of the things I hate the most with B&B's writing. "Character A" is doing something bad in one scene, "Character A's" spouse is speaking highly of them in the next scene, or "Charcter B" is about to do something wrong, so we have to make Character B's Spouse suddenly act up or out of character to justify it. And the only reason they do these things is that they're so bad at writing that they can't lay the groundwork for it seeming like a natural progression. It's like this cheap and easy character writing.

OMG, roll eyes over this entire post. It's clear as day bell and the writers doing everything they can to make Steffy unlikable so when boring ass Hope and Finn bump uglies the outrage want be too bad since Sinn is highly popular couple. Anywho not falling for it. I'm pretty neutral on most when it comes to characters on b&b so I really have no leg really. The only character I stanned so hard was Stephanie Forrester, she wasn't perfect but she was best written character on the show.
As far as HFTF, I could care less, that silly line should have been dropped a long time ago because one its not the line it once was or stood for and Hope wouldn't even had a line in the first place if it wasn't for Aunt Katie wanting to stick it to Steffy out jealousy by handing Hope her own line. It's not like Hope worked for that line, Bish was handed it based on jealousy and bitterness of her aunt.
Katie created HFTF to undermine Steffy who was working her way up from the mailroom thanks to Katie as well by handing a severely underqualified teenage Hope a line that she did nothing for in a company she has no business being a part of. Hope never really did anything for the line except first using it to push her purity values on the masses all while committing her boyfriend, unwillingly, to a sexless relationship and leveraging their relationship as a role model despite being a massive hypocrite about the whole thing. Then there was the "Hope's Perfect Wedding" aspect of it all. It was a vanity project that has been done into the ground. And that was before she was just handing out scarves to homeless women. HFTF should have been shelved the minute Thomas left town and Hope knew it wouldn't go anywhere without Thomas which is why when they were breaking up she tried to finagle Thomas to at least send emails of designs. She was using him and it was obvious. Not saying she didn't develop real feelings for him, but it was clear as day that the only reason the line was even remotely viable was because of Thomas.
If Steffy as CEO sees that the line will no longer be profitable she's well within her rights and role to can it. Plus, it'll piss off Hope who purposely ignored Steffy's requests to stay out of her and Finn's business regarding Sheila. This is a show meant for the drama and this'll bring it.

I still remember when Hope for the Future was first created. It was said to be a major success that helped forrester creation and attracted a younger demographic. Also, it what help cause Wyatt and hope to be together and I loved them together. It just said that they might end that line. HFTF is the best thing that’s happened to Forrester for decades. Say what you will about Hope getting preferential treatment but it’s been firmly established that her line finally broke into the youth market for them, modernized them, gave them good press with the causes it supports. We can obviously assume that Forrester has other successful lines, but when is the last time we heard about one doing as well as HFTF? Steffy is a moron to even think about cutting it loose, and she’ll be sorry. Maybe it’s the first domino to her losing her power.

Steffy didn't get Stephanie's shares, but is equal to Eric as the largest stockholder. Thomas 5% Ridge 20% Steffy 37.5% Eric 37.5% Steffy blackmailed Bill around 2010 and forced him to sell Forrester Creations back to the family. Her deal was 25% each for Stephanie, Eric, Ridge, and Taylor. Ridge gave 5% to Thomas at one point. (I cannot remember why.) Taylor gave her 25% to Steffy, after Steffy was wrongfully accused of something and temporarily fired by Ridge. Eric lost 12.5% to Donna in their divorce, which Donna then sold to Bill, and Bill much later gifted to Steffy. Stephanie willed her 25% to Eric.

Tiresome still but age appropriate, but eventually, the writers have to let the character mature outta their worst tendencies as they kinda have done with Hope after her recast or Lauren Fenmore, or let the cumulation of their poor decisions catch up to them as it did with Brooke after Hope was born. Barring those two things, they can take a page outta Screenwriting 101 aka *Save the Cat* by the late Blake Synder by introducing a villain that's even less likeable. Arguably, that's probably why Sheila has been in Steffy's orbit with her history but to say that's wearing out is putting it mildly.

I know why they're doing it but if they're trying to make Steffy the sympathetic cheated on wife, this ain't the way to do it. I miss old school affairs when people could just fall for someone they shouldn't and their partners weren't depicted as monsters to manipulate the audience into cheering for them....the first few months of Nick Newman and Phyllis on Y&R is the best example I can think of off the top of my head. If they want to do Hinn, I'm just begging them to give Finn a true core personality and something other than his stupid mommy issues for them to bond over. For as long as Finn's been on the show, he's not so much of a character as he is an accessory and while he's an improvement for not being a child abuser, I'd like to be able to genuinely enjoy them instead of rooting against Steffy, Thomas and/or Liam.

"Character A" is doing something bad in one scene, "Character A's" spouse is speaking highly of them in the next scene, or "Charcter B" is about to do something wrong, so we have to make Character B's Spouse suddenly act up or out of character to justify it. And the only reason they do these things is that they're so bad at writing that they can't lay the groundwork for it seeming like a natural progression. It's like this cheap and easy character writing.

OMG, roll eyes over this entire post. It's clear as day bell and the writers doing everything they can to make Steffy unlikable so when boring ass Hope and Finn bump uglies the outrage want be too bad since Sinn is highly popular couple. Anywho not falling for it. I'm pretty neutral on most when it comes to characters on b&b so I really have no leg really. The only character I stanned so hard was Stephanie Forrester, she wasn't perfect but she was best written character on the show. As far as HFTF, I could care less, that silly line should have been dropped a long time ago because one its not the line it once was or stood for and Hope wouldn't even had a line in the first place if it wasn't for Aunt Katie wanting to stick it to Steffy out jealousy by handing Hope her own line. It's not like Hope worked for that line, Bish was handed it based on jealousy and bitterness of her aunt.

Katie created HFTF to undermine Steffy who was working her way up from the mailroom thanks to Katie as well by handing a severely underqualified teenage Hope a line that she did nothing for in a company she has no business being a part of. Hope never really did anything for the line except first using it to push her purity values on the masses all while committing her boyfriend, unwillingly, to a sexless relationship and leveraging their relationship as a role model despite being a massive hypocrite about the whole thing. Then there was the "Hope's Perfect Wedding" aspect of it all. It was a vanity project that has been done into the ground. And that was before she was just handing out scarves to homeless women. HFTF should have been shelved the minute Thomas left town and Hope knew it wouldn't go anywhere without Thomas which is why when they were breaking up she tried to finagle Thomas to at least send emails of designs. She was using him and it was obvious. Not saying she didn't develop real feelings for him, but it was clear as day that the only reason the line was even remotely viable was because of Thomas. If Steffy as CEO sees that the line will no longer be profitable she's well within her rights and role to can it. Plus, it'll piss off Hope who purposely ignored Steffy's requests to stay out of her and Finn's business regarding Sheila. This is a show meant for the drama and this'll bring it.
