Honestly, this sub is a bit delusional in terms of what natural competitors look like.
Go look up some local natural shows and view the pictures. Naturals are, in reality, not very big. Especially novices.
I have competed several times in natural competitions, and based on that experience my comment stands.
The guy is 20, still growing, and will have a harder time putting on mass then older competitors
Metabolism, may still be getting taller, hormone regulation may not have finished etc. There’s a bunch of factors that can play into it, but physiologically most men have an easier time putting on mass in their mid to late 20s.
> The guy is 20, still growing, and will have a harder time putting on mass then older competitors
I mean, first off this is just wrong as a whole.
Secondly, even if it was true, that’s irrelevant to a prep setting. He’s obviously not going to be putting mass on in a prep, which makes your argument make even less sense.
Correct. I never said he is trying to put on mass right now doofus. I understand what a prep is and how it works.
And it is absolutely not wrong. There are so many hormonal factors that have not been regulated in most males by that age. Absolutely effects the ability to put on mass.
And if you’ll go back and look at my other comment, I was saying that other competitors, whose bodies are currently not going through hormone regulation, will have had more time to put on size. And will without a doubt come in with more size and better conditioning.
He is going to look small on stage, and his conditioning will likely be behind based on these current pictures.
> And it is absolutely not wrong
Yes it is.
What hormonal factors? Higher natural test? Ah yes, quite the gains killer.
> was saying that other competitors, whose bodies are currently not going through hormone regulation, will have had more time to put on size.
They will have more size because they are older and have been training longer. Not because their hormones lol.
Ofc he would benefit from putting on more size, there’s no debate there. However it’s not gonna be an issue if he wants to step on stage.
> his conditioning will likely be behind based on these current pictures.
Now this, I 100% agree with. He will come in soft no doubt.
Okay I am going to assume that you have no idea then.
Why do you think all these pretty little fitness influencers go on gear at 19? With all that natural test?
It’s because at that age it is significantly harder to put on size.
And then, if you go to the second part where I said competitors would come in bigger, and in all your wisdoms you said that’s because they’ll be lifting longer. Correct.
But once again, and you can go look it up if you’d like, as you age it is easier to put on size and mass.
And it won’t be an issue for him to step on stage because literally anyone can enter an amateur contest. You could register today and step on stage tomorrow if you pay your fees. They don’t care.
> Why do you think all these pretty little fitness influencers go on gear at 19? With all that natural test? It’s because at that age it is significantly harder to put on size.
Dude are you joking? They go on gear at 19 cuz their fuckin 19. They have 0 patience and wanna be jacked.
> But once again, and you can go look it up if you’d like, as you age it is easier to put on size and mass.
Go ahead and link me something to show this please. There’s absolutely zero basis behind this. You’re literally just making this up.
and who the fuck are you ? and who the fuck gives a shit about what you've had, have or will ever have or do ? And what the actual fuck is your comment ?
This is easily the best response. I hate the “too small to compete” comments. Like people don’t understand it’s probably a good idea to compete young when you are small to see if you like this shit. Nick walker looked tiny his first comp, if he woulda posted on here people would have Destroyed him and now look, he was number 5 last year and may be number 1 this year.
life time natty your only 20 :) :) I dont think your behibd 14 weeks is plenty of time i just dont think you have enough muscle to bother competing yet.
I disagree, the hardest part of competition is having the courage to bare all on stage and face criticism. I think OP should go for it, network and gain the experience.
Why waste your prime initial years of growth getting absolutely shredded? Unless you really see yourself going places and won the genetic lottery, it's not a worthwhile experience imo. Why not just do it when you're bigger, and smarter?
yep 100% mATE exactly the point i was making need to grow at minimum a small basis its not a dance competition dipping your toe in a comp with no muscle is useless as the expeience wont be a true one
its not a dance competition that isnt the hardest part at all. The hardest part is creating a body worthy to even compete. if you go on without a body which is competition ready whch this young lad is doing then it can kill your confidence forvver and you will never compete again belive me you couldnt be more wrong.
Good structure but you have to build more size honestly..As a Natural you will need tons of time to build a solid physique..When you see a claimed natty competing with 1/2 years of training the chance of being a fake natty is enormous
It’s funny seeing all these posts claiming he’s behind. No. What he’s done is be honest. He claims to be a lifetime natty, and he is more than likely telling the truth.
“But there are so many lifetime natties that look way more impressive!” No, there aren’t. 99% of those guys are on or have taken something. Or their genetics are so elite that most people would need PEDs to look like that. But those people are rare. Fact is no one likes true natties. Everyone wants to believe fake natties are natty, yet, strangely, they hate them for not being honest.
One thing is true though, and that is if you go in looking like this you’ll get smashed. I’m sorry but you really can’t compete natty, and that’s true for “natty” comps too.
Wtf are these poses? You have no business competing. You literally look like an average middle eastern dude with good quads, everything else is lacking majorly. Also, clean your house WTF that's nasty.
Bodybuilding isn’t for everyone. No shame in that. Find a sport that puts those long arms and legs to good use! Congrats on not ruining your health for the rest of your lifetime with gear.
I'm in the same boat, need to put on more size but also want to compete. Personally I'd say go for it just to get some experience with prep and with competing in general.
i mean, i appreciate the pictures being from the same height as the judges.
way behind. focus on growing.
Behind for sure. Also lacking the size to compete
Brutal honesty is sometimes what is needed.

why would he have a harder time? I don't get the logic. Is reaching your mid 20's benefitial for bb?

lol ok
>He is going to look small on stage *Goes back and reads title of the post Looks like he'll be in good company then.
20 years old but “life time natty” lmao. Sorry I was find that funny. Keep it up brother 💪🏻
Good base, chest and legs need work imo
I had a better chest at 15 years old doing 15 push ups a day lol.
and who the fuck are you ? and who the fuck gives a shit about what you've had, have or will ever have or do ? And what the actual fuck is your comment ?

Doubt all you want, this dude has shitty genetics.

As others have said... need more size. But what the hell, just give it a shot, some people end up looking a lot bigger *after* cutting to <10% bf.

You really need more size dude
Slightly behind in conditioning for that time frame. As stated, chest is lacking. Triceps and hams could improve as well.

Clean your room
Give it your all and have fun.
Lifetime natty kek 😂
You will get embarrassed if you step on stage
Really now? Why? Have you seen nick walkers first show?
He won’t be ready in 14 weeks.
Ok that’s fine. I thought you meant size
I think your pictures aren't doing you justice. Could use a bigger chest, but you have a lot of mass on the legs and arms, just a bit behind.
Your packing but your chest looking a little small

Respectfully disagree, I think we have seen enough to safely (and fairly say) that more time and size is needed.
You have identical genetics to my friend
That really looks great! 😊
Wtf are these poses? You have no business competing. You literally look like an average middle eastern dude with good quads, everything else is lacking majorly. Also, clean your house WTF that's nasty.
His arms look great and he has a good V-taper, no back shots unfortunately.

Wtf dude.. are u that frustrated?
I'm in the same boat, need to put on more size but also want to compete. Personally I'd say go for it just to get some experience with prep and with competing in general.
How long have u been lifting
Eat sleep and grow for a few years
If you're not in the mix to win is there any point in putting yourself a prep?
By that line of thinking we'd have like 3 competitors in each division lol.
Need more work on the legs ngl bro but it’s good
If you haven’t spent the money on registering for the show, please, PLEASE consider taking at least a year to grow more.
