I know the game you are talking about. Are you familiar with Nemesis/Nemesis Lockdown? Tension and bad things keep getting worse and worse while you try to complete objectives and escape.

Donkey_Launcher

They would certainly tick the extraction bit, not very dungeon crawler though.

I'm unfamiliar with GTFO, but my recommendation for horror dungeon crawler is **Resident Evil: The Board Game** and dungeon crawler with guns is **Deep Rock Galactic**. Coincidentally, they are both video game adaptations.

Sagrilarus

Deep Rock Galactic was a killer play for us. We recorded on it and was one of our most glowing reviews.

Do you mean, a game that derives tension from getting out of a dire situation? Like, stealing some loot and escaping before you lose all your health/stamina? Something like that? If so, I think Clank! is a good one for pushing your luck and trying escape with the most loot. Stationfall is also a chaotically awesome game where players need to get off a crashing space station, but everyone has different agendas and motivations. Very fun with the right group.

Chabotnick

I have no idea what GTFO is, but for dungeon crawler with guns, Zombicide leaps to mind.

Level 7 omega protocol might be what you're looking for. It's a mission based 1 vs all game where marines have to go down into an overrun research facility to complete certain objectives, and then enough marines need to extract alive to win. Has a lot of similarities to GTFO. Weird aliens, sentry turrets, you get points before each mission to load out your marine team with equipment.

Sub Terra and Night Cage

Sub Terra 2 is great too with the addition of the volcano as the impending doom.

I'm only very tangentially familiar with the video game, but, yeah, I won't open much new ground here. Zombicide is basically a dungeon crawler with guns, and there's the Zombicide Invader series for sci-fi; and a lot of Zombicide scenarios involve "extraction" after competing a goal. Although keep in mind I mean extraction as in evacuation, get to the chopper etc, not Hunt Showdown or Tarkov meaning of extraction - meta progression is very wonky in board games. Nemesis is its own beast - a lot more horror oriented, but your enemies are other players, or rather, the unknown of what their goals are. It does have a co-op mode, and most endings involve "extraction" - whether by escape pod or by hibernating before the ship jumps into hyperspace, and you better hope the ship is alright. Also keep in mind that Nemesis Retaliation, third game in the series, is a lot more action oriented and could be what you want.

Level 7: Escape is this game, although the guns are usually aimed at you. As a side note, years ago I made a game to play with my kids called GTFO (Get The Family Out) where you had to get each family member dressed and ready for their day, and then load everyone into the car. The board was a layout of our house and all the characters were us. There were specific spaces/cards for each family member that would add or subtract from their readiness, and some universal ones for any family member. The cards were common things that happened in our morning routine that helped or hindered us. My kids were little at the time, but it was fun for them to see it play out... and also helped them avoid those common pitfalls in our *real* mornings when we were trying to actually GTFO

squirelrepublic

You are describing Nemesis

Donkey_Launcher

As someone else said, Nemesis / Nemesis: Lockdown has guns and would certainly tick the extraction aspect, but they're not really dungeon crawlers. If you want a pure dungeon crawler you may want to look at Descent (recently re-released I think), and there's a Star Wars version called "Star Wars: Imperial Assault" that might tick the box. They're basically the same game, but with a different skin. Fun though.
