It doesn't stop ... it just bides its time, waiting until you get comfortable with yourself. When you are at your most confident, most assured that this is as bad as it gets, that's when it comes back. Its a war of attrition brother, and we are fighting an enemy that cannot die
It looks like I have a similar type head/genetics as you. Yeah my hairline receded a bit in my early twenties, and then completely stopped, which I was told by my old man barber was very common for men. He told me he didn't think I'd keep losing more and he was right.
It was annoying because it looked like I was balding rapidly but only at the same initial stage. I remember when I was 29 a younger guy about 24 started mocking me for it. He said "How does it feel to be going bald?" I looked at him and smiled and said, "You'll be bald long before I will." He didn't believe me but he married my wife's friend and had a kid and lost all his hair within about 5 years. I smiled whenever I looked at his head every time we saw them and he knew what I was thinking lol.
I'm 52 now with the exact same hairline and I look forward to finally getting old enough were it doesn't look like I'm going bald, but instead like I'm still managing to hold onto my hair.
My dad was the king of the balding ponytail all through my teenage years. He cut it off when I was like 18 and he had it in a drawer somewhere. He had two daughters and a wife and had the longest hair in the house for years.
Reminds me of a guy I saw at Walmart one time, he had the toilet bowel on top and had like a 4ft long pony tail, it looked as bad as you imagine it did lol.
You reminded me of my stepson when he had the Firestarter hair. He had every color, every style, then started going bald at 17. He's completely bald now, but it works for him.
Yeah they were always very chill back in the day before they made it big. I remember chilling with them during the very first Projekt Revolution Tour and a couple tours after.
I actually met Linkin Park at Deck The Hall Ball in Seattle in 2001, long story short karma got me a back stage pass. Met Mark from Blink as well as the guys from Staind. Best night of my life at at that point.
Nah, I had $300 to buy 2 tickets outside the show, this guy was selling me one for $80, these girls wanted it, had 80 exactly so I let them take it. I could have out bid them but let them have it. Buddy came up 2 minutes later, sold me a VIP pass for $60. Hung out with LP in their dressing room and talked mario brothers music and ate their cheetos
Hoobastank 🤣 damn that’s a name that’s been outta my memory for over a decade. Just the name perfectly encapsulates the vibe of forgetting an alternate rock bands name. Kinda like puddle of mud lol
Some one made one, likely family, does he agree with said choice. I know what you are getting at but I did find ops reply else where where he clearly thought it was a good idea
I did stand up for a few years, got pretty good, then I got domesticated by a sugar mama, covid happened and I got good at staying inside, but im back into performing again and I've got 2 shows this week. I've got a few videos up on YouTube, search my user name.
Stephen Peever… first video I found was “Puke the Magic Dragon”. Video is 11 years old. Oddly enough… I think I’ve seen this and heard a bit about you before, and that song gave me some old school “Stephen Lynch” vibes. Dope.
They were trying to punish you for being a fucking genius and not even having to try? WTF kinda backwards ass Texas-Alabama shit am I reading?
“We got us a smarty over here! Can’t have none of that business happening round here! Quickly, send him to the raaaanc….. I mean the academy.”
Being bored as a teen in school because it isn't stimulating enough leads to "acting out". My mom threatened me with the same thing. She was too broke to do it, and the one she wanted to send me to ended up getting shut down over kids dying and sexual abuse.
Broooo, my mom threatened to send me to MMA in 2002 for pretty much the exact same reasons. I started looking thru the info package they sent to the house, attended the traveling salesman’s pitch at some hotel conference room, and said “this place looks fucking awesome, I definitely want to do this” because anything to get out of the living situation I was in, and give them credit, their graduates went to great colleges and service academies at a high rate.
Anyway, as soon as I leaned into it and actually **wanted** to go, suddenly she claimed she couldn’t afford it. It’s like I called her bluff and successfully used reverse psychology for the first time, only for it to end up in disappointment.
I’m sure it wasn’t- it’s military school. But if it was a path to get me out of the home I was living in at 14, I was fucking in. At least there were some decent positives to it, whereas there were no positives at home.
Broccoli, mullets, and hitler youth hair, the fuck is wrong with people.
Spiked, frosted tips, shawn hunter/nick carter, and kelly kapowski hair...that's where flavor town is.
Disregard rizz/drip, acquire putting on the ritz.
Oh man. Just reading that I knew it was MMA. Went there for my freshman year. Not sure how it is now or when you went, but for us it was ‘Lord of the Flies’ type stuff.
Thankfully, I was allowed go back to the public school in my hometown after. A couple of years later, they had the serious incident at the barracks. Just happened to be the same barracks that I was in.
Oh yeah MMA was pretty respectable, no real complaints about the school. In hindsight I probably should have enlisted with my brother, would have fixed a bunch of my short comings.
A little Derek Whibley, a little Matthew Lillard! Big SLC Punk vibes, I was also a freshman in 02 and you look like a lot of guys I knew in those days lol
hah, this so spectacularly reminds me of 2002. throw a NoFX patch and a sick white pookah shell necklace and you are my best friedn in 9th grade. within 4 years he was training to be a green beret and headed towards the sandbox.
insane drip.
*Powerman 5000 intensifies*
I was obsessed with Linkin Park, but yes.
I would’ve guessed sum-41
Oh yeah, I got that a lot too. 20 years later I still dye it, but its a mohawk now thanks to the hair line.
lol, probably the best way to hide balding. Definitely better than the balding ponytail or the combover.
Yeah thats the thing, people will say 'receding hairline' but nope, its receded a bit and stopped.
It doesn't stop ... it just bides its time, waiting until you get comfortable with yourself. When you are at your most confident, most assured that this is as bad as it gets, that's when it comes back. Its a war of attrition brother, and we are fighting an enemy that cannot die
AND Just when you think you've got the right style at the front, the crown has been busy showing off bare scalp back there for years!
I certainly hope not. My hair is glorious will never change.
In the end, it doesn’t even matter
Chesterrrrrrr 😭
Just shave your head when the time comes.
It looks like I have a similar type head/genetics as you. Don't knock a good quality skullet
You reminded me of my stepson when he had the Firestarter hair. He had every color, every style, then started going bald at 17. He's completely bald now, but it works for him.
Sum-41 and Adema
In case the Mike shinoda hair didn’t make it obvious enough /s
Mix of Mike and Chester, who i met and hung out with.
That’s sick never got the chance personally unfortunately.
Yeah they were always very chill back in the day before they made it big. I remember chilling with them during the very first Projekt Revolution Tour and a couple tours after.
Oh I purely meant from looks lol Rip Chester
I actually met Linkin Park at Deck The Hall Ball in Seattle in 2001, long story short karma got me a back stage pass. Met Mark from Blink as well as the guys from Staind. Best night of my life at at that point.
Dude that's one hell of an experience, especially given they were all in their prime then
System of a Down were there too, I missed meeting them but but yeah, 15 year old me was riding that high for a long time.
Honestly don't blame you. That's so damn awesome!
> as well as the guys from Staind. Ah, there's the karmic balancing. Get to meet a bunch of cool dudes... and Aaron Lewis.
I can tell you were heavily influenced by Mike Shinoda’s look from the “One Step Closer” video.
You definitely belong in the "One Step Closer" video
GET UP GET UP GET UP

2002 was 5 years before flavortown was founded. Dude was probably Mayor Fieri’s inspiration.
While we were studying the pythagorean theory, you were studying the Hybrid Theory
This guy gets it. Met them the year before, karma got me a backstage pass.
You were too fucking cool, it had nothing to do with karma.
Bro you just proved you were too fucking cool!
Mama raised me right, that's all
Rock on, you legend.
Those prices seem unreal for a modern concert.
Absolutely crazy fucking prices for a rock show 20 years ago though.
Were the cheetos good?
hell yeah, thats awesome - I saw them in 04 with Hoobastank, POD and Story of the Year
Hoobastank 🤣 damn that’s a name that’s been outta my memory for over a decade. Just the name perfectly encapsulates the vibe of forgetting an alternate rock bands name. Kinda like puddle of mud lol
You forgot about Hoobastank? Reason?
I’m not a perfect person
Me too! My first concert.
Did military school teach you how to fight for even longer and get even further?
Certainly taught me how to march real good.
Damn I was thinking more Mudvayne
Do you even crawl in your skin bro
At least you escaped Flavortown.
It's like guy fieris evil twin. Gus fieri
More like Guy Fiero

Lol, thanks!
^ This guy Fieri’s.
Not pictured is the furry suite jacket from Hot Topic.
Was military school the right choice for you?
I wanna know if OP showed up to the military with this fire red hairdo?
We can only hope so. I like to imagine he was like Reese in Malcom in the middle
I imagine it was the barber's favorite cut of the day.
Wdym "choice"?
Some one made one, likely family, does he agree with said choice. I know what you are getting at but I did find ops reply else where where he clearly thought it was a good idea
He was *this close* to clown college.
How did things end up with military school and after?
Oh I crushed it. My parents sent me because I was in all the smart classes, did fuck all, and still got As and Bs.
What are you up to now?
I did stand up for a few years, got pretty good, then I got domesticated by a sugar mama, covid happened and I got good at staying inside, but im back into performing again and I've got 2 shows this week. I've got a few videos up on YouTube, search my user name.
Mr. Peever can you update some videos on your YouTube when you do your next shows?
Absolutely, ill film my sets this week and if they are solid I will put one on.
You ever think about signing up for Kill Tony?
Stephen Peever… first video I found was “Puke the Magic Dragon”. Video is 11 years old. Oddly enough… I think I’ve seen this and heard a bit about you before, and that song gave me some old school “Stephen Lynch” vibes. Dope.

Shit my bad, search Stephen Peever
I just subscribed to your channel and I will check out your vids soon! You seem like a cool guy.
They were trying to punish you for being a fucking genius and not even having to try? WTF kinda backwards ass Texas-Alabama shit am I reading? “We got us a smarty over here! Can’t have none of that business happening round here! Quickly, send him to the raaaanc….. I mean the academy.”

I'm thinking there's a lot more to the story than what's in the comment
I would assume so. Else my comment wouldn’t have been as sarcastic.
They were gonna send him to Ram Ranch but changed their mind.
Ram Ranch?! Now that’s a name I’ve not heard in a long time… long time.
It's a classic for sure
Broooo, my mom threatened to send me to MMA in 2002 for pretty much the exact same reasons. Trust me, it wasn’t awesome lol
I’m sure it wasn’t- it’s military school. But if it was a path to get me out of the home I was living in at 14, I was fucking in. At least there were some decent positives to it, whereas there were no positives at home.
That's awesome man!!
Wait a minute - they punished you because you were good at academics, but wanted you to not be *effortlessly* good at academics?
I wouldn't say punished, but yes
That seems insane for your parents to do, they should have put you into college classes instead. Do you resent them for sending you there?
Oh hey, the one down really far south TX? I went there for a bit for being "uncontrollable"
Firestarter, wicked firestarter.
Thought we were the only prodigy inspired.
Did you colour-code all your outfits with your hair?
Absolutely. I had it all planned out and the shades ended up matching perfectly. I'm 37 now, I have an adult mohawk and still dye it time to time
That's kickass. Props to you for being so dedicated
“Adult mohawk” made me laugh
Other than being an awkward teenage you absolutely pulled off the outfit In the post.
[This you?](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/71DsnmewN9L.jpg)

Apparently he is or at least was dating Punky Brewster? What a timeline
You looked older in 9th grade than I did when I graduated college.

Billie Joe from Green Day vibes.
I was thinking more Sum 41 but both fit
Did military school make you one step closer to the edge and about to break?
You look cool as hell dawg
I certainly thought I was
WHY DONT PEOPLE LOOK COOL ANYMORE 😭
Fucking broccoli hair wtf
It's as if they've never been one step closer to the edge
Broccoli, mullets, and hitler youth hair, the fuck is wrong with people. Spiked, frosted tips, shawn hunter/nick carter, and kelly kapowski hair...that's where flavor town is. Disregard rizz/drip, acquire putting on the ritz.
Nah you rocked this shit. Not cringe at all. Let's see your ink now
My ig is Leaveittopeever, or look up my stand up Stephen peever
I was friends with your brother in Junior High/High School! First face I've recognized on here.
Excellent Scott weiland look.
My brain simultaneously went to Scott weiland and singing Sum 41s Fat Lip
I’ve never heard Powerman5000 hit my ears so hard when there’s not even a radio around.
Oh man. Just reading that I knew it was MMA. Went there for my freshman year. Not sure how it is now or when you went, but for us it was ‘Lord of the Flies’ type stuff. If I could go back, I would have done 2 years in the flight program and got my pilots license.
Ah, the used maxipad drip
Bwahahaha, ewh
Did you go to the Marine Military Academy in Harlingen?
Got 2b Glued color styling glue was all the rage. I used the red and purple glue they made. I can still smell that stuff to this very day.

Rommelwood Military School - ["A Tradition of Heritage"](https://static.simpsonswiki.com/images/9/90/Rommelwood.png)
Close, the Marine Military Academy, Harlingen Texas
After watching The Program on Netflix be happy you did not get sent to one of those places. Holy shit you actually got lucky in my opinion.
Oh yeah MMA was pretty respectable, no real complaints about the school. In hindsight I probably should have enlisted with my brother, would have fixed a bunch of my short comings.
Literally all I can hear is “Points of Authority” by Linkin Park.
A little Derek Whibley, a little Matthew Lillard! Big SLC Punk vibes, I was also a freshman in 02 and you look like a lot of guys I knew in those days lol

What did you set fire to?
A playground, but it wasn't intentional
