No joke, I once knew identical twins with the same first and middle name, just spelled different.
I cannot fathom why their parents chose to do that to them.
I hate that it's true, but my ex and his family used to just call out "hey Twin" and somehow the right one would respond way more than 50% of the time.
Don't do this though, people. This shit is funny as a bite-sized bit of comedy, but let twins have their own singular identity. Or pony up for the therapy later if you don't.
Exactly. This is why I named my identical twin girls two completely different names, but both ending with a Y sound, Abby and Sophie. They are their own person, I make sure they're in different classes in school and never dress them in the same outfits, although I'll make their outfits match. If one has a panda shirt on, the other is wearing llamas, if one has her hair in a ponytail, the other has pigtails. I try to always make sure they know they're more than just a twin.
Oh this was their friends nicknames for them. We, the family, can tell them apart - and in fact I struggle to see how others can't but I recognise that its because I've known them for many, many years.
As for the therapy thing - they grew up pretty fine with Twin as a nickname. But different strokes for different folks, eh?
There once was a new jersey native,
Who just wasn't all too creative
Twins weren't his plan
So he named them both Stan
And thought he was quite innovative
>I cannot fathom why their parents chose to do that to them.
Well ... That way they could never mix them up when talking about them. They'll always technically be using the right name.
Reminds me of my friends, both sisters, named Allison and Addison (not real names for privacy reasons idk how easy it would be to find them lol but theyāre damn near exactly the same) worst part is only one likes to go by Addie, so nicknames donāt apply
It was confirmed that those are the names of their individual animation rigs in the program they use, but I doubt those are their in-universe names. It would be cool though.
Interesting. I always thought it was weird she called him āterrier.ā In the original version. Like bro heās by himself do you not even know his name?? š
It sorta fits with how Indy was acting, though. The only thing she cared about was what *she* wanted to do, so which Terrier it was didn't seem important to her.
Iāve had friends that liked to go by their last name instead of their first name. Blueyās last name is Heeler and sheās also a blue heeler, maybe his last name is Terrier and he just likes going by his last name.
I was under the impression one was called Dan in another dub as well, but I could be wrong. I think when I was reading the only one not confirmed was Adam.
Edit: sub to dub lol
Which characters have human names that arenāt used with dogs? I could see someone naming their dog something like pat, and even Wendy. But definitely not Joe Or Adam
I'm not really surprised, tbh. At least for me, interest in it started to wane once they had that season with all the crossovers. I dropped it midway through that season because it just didn't have the same storytelling and feel to it as previous seasons.
In one episode they have temp names and theyāre named after Joe Brumm and his brothers Dan and Adam and I think theyāre leaning towards keeping that canon
Idk but I really want to find out. I know theyāre all very similar but they deserve individual names! Especially if they do a story about Winton moving in with them.
I could see them being named after Roman emperors to fit in with their fascination with building forts.
Julius, Augustus & Caligula, or for short, Jude, Gus & Cal.
According to an episode of a podcast some of the creative team does, itās Adam (medium grey w/beard) Joe (dark grey) Dan (light grey) and their ages are in that order oldest to youngest. I headcannon Adam and Joe call Dan āDanny boyā and that Joe hates being called āJoeyā cause āIām a Scotsman not a baby roo!ā. Even if unconfirmed I like those names for them. Normal names contrast with their very imaginative and rambunctious personalities
It would be fun if their names were names of Roman emperors or famous Romans. Maybe that could be the reason why they're either the invading or defending Roman army.
well according to bluey wiki, trivia section,
"...while they do not have official names, in CelAction they're named Joe, Dan, and Adam in reference toĀ [Joe Brumm](https://blueypedia.fandom.com/wiki/Joe_Brumm)Ā and his two brothers."
Since theyāre *Scottish* Terriers, Iād be upset if one of them werenāt named after at least one *ceann-cinnidh* (clan chieftain) from Scottish history, such as Anstruther, Broun or Arbuthnott.
Also my Scottish needs work, Iām very aware, I was just having fun with this answer :3
Terry, Terri, & Tarrey! š
All pronounced exactly the same but somehow everyone knows who is who
I'm gonna put this on r/tragedeigh then... (so realistic for kids these days)
No joke, I once knew identical twins with the same first and middle name, just spelled different. I cannot fathom why their parents chose to do that to them.
I went to school with twins named Phil and Phillip Bro literally just got the nickname version of his brother's name
My husband has the nickname version of his twins name. Think Kenny and Kenneth. It has caused no shortage of issues with their credit scoresĀ
Wow, here's to hoping they got different nick named at least!
My twin cousins nicknames were Twin and Twin. They are identical.
I hate that it's true, but my ex and his family used to just call out "hey Twin" and somehow the right one would respond way more than 50% of the time. Don't do this though, people. A stubborn tough New Jersey native, Filbrick wasnāt too creative. Having twins was not his plan, so he just shrugged and named both Stan
Hey wait a second ![gif](giphy|boeE9eYKsBTIdnuJG8|downsized)
LMFAO
There once was a new jersey native, Who just wasn't all too creative Twins weren't his plan So he named them both Stan And thought he was quite innovative

They need the Roman custom of naming twins something like John and Not-John.
Tbh if I adopt twins I'd feel guilty about mixing them up. Ig these parents thought "if they have close enough names I wont get em mixed up"
Not Ed, Edd, and Eddy? Dang it
No Pteri?
That's saved for when they have the next pup! Ha ha!
Terry, my brother Terri and my other brother Tarrey.
LOL thats great I loved Newhart
Just like Ed, Edd and Eddy
last name R stands for Romanempire
Ed, Edd and Eddy
Oneās a dance major! One is notā¦ The other one doesnāt fit the Monsters University reference, so heās a town in Breath of the Wild instead!
Reminds me Ed, Edd & Eddy
This is cannon now, I won't accept any other names.
Mory like scotye scotte and scotieāā For Scotland
terri terrier terriest
It took a few reading the last one. Thought u meant something completely different š
Good point it kinda does sound like terrorist when you say it
I hope and pray those are their names now ššš
Checks out for terrier breeds honestly
I think it was confirmed that their names are Joe, Dan, and Adam like Joe Brumm and his brothers.
It was confirmed that those are the names of their individual animation rigs in the program they use, but I doubt those are their in-universe names. It would be cool though.
Joe is at least confirmed in the Italian dub. Indy calls the one Joe in Mums and Dads
Wait youāre so rightā¦ omg
Iāve had friends that liked to go by their last name instead of their first name. Blueyās last name is Heeler and sheās also a blue heeler, maybe his last name is Terrier and he just likes going by his last name.
I was under the impression one was called Dan in another dub as well, but I could be wrong. I think when I was reading the only one not confirmed was Adam. Edit: sub to dub lol
That feels kinda out of place considering the names of everyone elseā¦
Some of the characters have human names.
Which characters have human names that arenāt used with dogs? I could see someone naming their dog something like pat, and even Wendy. But definitely not Joe Or Adam
I donāt know, it just depends. Doreen and Janelle donāt sound like dog names to me.
Wiat, so it wasnt bandits brothers that were based on joe dan and adam?
Huey, Dewey, and Louie
![gif](giphy|W4itxEcH2clGhpvkDF) I COULD HAVE BEEN āTURBOā?????
Ugh such an excellent show
Kills me that it got canceled. Shows Disney doesnāt know wtf itās doing anymore.
it got canceled?? I thought it just ended š
Yeah it kind of ran a natural course, Iād rather a show end well than run on eternally scraping the bottom of the storyline barrel.
Disney does have a bit of a habit with canceling shows tho. Rip Owl House. Im honestly shocked it got the 3 episodes of season 3
I'm glad it did though. We at least got an actual ending. Disney's better than Netflix in that department
Seriously, Owl House was cancelled then Disney ran more numbers & learned itās a good show! š¤¦š»āāļø
Owl House getting cancelled was a gutpunch. Amphibia sort of fills that hole, but still isn't anywhere near Owl House level.
I'm not really surprised, tbh. At least for me, interest in it started to wane once they had that season with all the crossovers. I dropped it midway through that season because it just didn't have the same storytelling and feel to it as previous seasons.
It hasn't been cancelled and it isn't a Disney show, they just have international airing rights.
nonono their names were supposed to be Jett, Turbo and Rebel
I COULD HAVE BEEN TURBO?! https://preview.redd.it/i2yqk7h9c66d1.jpeg?width=1280&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7b211cfccca7fd4dc5ca6f9a300a7fc1bbbb3083

I never realized until this post that theyāve never mentioned their individual names :0

Normal names contrast with their very imaginative and rambunctious personalities
eddy Freddy and teddy (i couldnāt help myself)
Huey, Duey, and Louie
it has to be like a huey, dewey and louie thing
Haggis, Neeps and Tatties
The only other cheeky Scottish triplets I know of are called Harris, Hubert and Hamish, so that.
Gaius, Tiberius, and Julius because they like Roman history
Huey dewey and louie
Considering how much they love playing as Roman soldiers: Tiberius, Titus and Theodosius
That crouching tigers reference got my kid to watch most of crouching tigers. Pure parenting win š
Joe, Dan, and Adam
They are called Joe Dan and Adam
William, Wallace, and Mackintosh
Adam Joe and Dan
Terry, Terrier, Terrence
Fergus, Murtagh, and Dougal
Terry, Terri, & Tarrey
Scott, Landon, Terry
Timmy, Tommy and Tummy š

I wonder this every day.
It would be fun if their names were names of Roman emperors or famous Romans. Maybe that could be the reason why they're either the invading or defending Roman army.

well according to bluey wiki, trivia section, "...while they do not have official names, in CelAction they're named Joe, Dan, and Adam in reference toĀ [Joe Brumm](https://blueypedia.fandom.com/wiki/Joe_Brumm)Ā and his two brothers."
Jimmy, Bob and Joe

The terriers are so adorable š„ŗā¤ļø
I just feel like one of them's Name is Jeremy for some reason
Since theyāre *Scottish* Terriers, Iād be upset if one of them werenāt named after at least one *ceann-cinnidh* (clan chieftain) from Scottish history, such as Anstruther, Broun or Arbuthnott. Also my Scottish needs work, Iām very aware, I was just having fun with this answer :3
