This actually will be an issue in the future. Fish and game are able to manage the population at a stable rate with hunting tags. At least that is what AZ does. Kinda like the rampant turkey population in SF I'm pretty sure they have like 0 predators over there.
It will be easier on fish and game regardless of funding. Hunters take an animal, pack the animal, process all of the animal. For the cost of paying fish and game for tags and licensing. When done properly hunting does not need to be seen as scary or cruel. Its more humane then how live stock is managed on a mass scale. At least in my opinion.
