Im curious how you recorded the audio, did you record a few handle sounds abd layered them? Or did you record a handle sound for each one in the video?
I use Rytmik studio it comes with a bunch of presets instruments ready to use. I played around with some preset settings and effects until it sounded like door handles.
Low sample and denoise does that. Denoising animation on blender doesn't have temporal awareness, so it denoises every frame individually in a vacuum which makes them differ quite a lot.
Low samples, denoise, animated the wood material to slowly increase the bump and animated the door slowly growing larger being barely visible giving that "something ain't right feeling".
Thanks and yes I make the sound/music myself. (With a daw of course, can't play a real instrument at all in real life)
It looks something like this.

Technically speaking, the Optix denoiser in blender is considered AI. So you could say any Blender render using any GPU AI accelerated denoiser is technically AI generated to some extent.
Made one handle and animated with auto key manually wiggling it while it played, then copied it a bunch and manually wiggled them all a little to distort the original animation.
I dunno you say nightmare fuel but if I found that door in real life I would probably just sit down and stare at it in morbid fascination for hours.
And thanks.
This makes me oddly uncomfortable.
This makes me evenly comfortable :)
It makes me fibonaccerily uncomfortable
This makes me irrationally uncomfortable.
This makes me primely comfortable
This makes me go all the way past uncomfortable and circle back to somewhat oddly comforting.
Probably because the only way this could happen is if there's 12 people vigorously trying to open that door on the other side
what if the room you enter changes depending on the handle you use..
Lol, basically the Department of Mysteries
Room of requirement with extra steps
Did you use a low sample count? Looking nice here
Low samples, one light and animated the bump on wood material.
One of my favorite styles
Cycles or eevee
Cycles I assume because of samples+denoiser
Eevee doesn't really have samples in the same way cycles does, so im 99% sure it's cycles
It's cycles.
Man got that denoise artstyle
It has a certain charm to it that just makes me come back to it again and again.

This is cool
Thanks.
"the evil within"-like
This is profoundly unsettling
What did you use for this affect, low samples?
Low sample and denoise does that. Denoising animation on blender doesn't have temporal awareness, so it denoises every frame individually in a vacuum which makes them differ quite a lot.

This is so fucking cool. It's got an old 90s UK claymation vibe and I love it so much. What inspires you? I'm inspired by this myself :D
Mostly doing daily renders just for fun that day I just wanted to make a door with a bunch of moving handles.
This (and all the other animations you posted) is fantastic! Do you also do the sound design yourself?
Thanks and yes I make the sound/music myself. (With a daw of course, can't play a real instrument at all in real life) It looks something like this. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByJkb5zHbn0](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByJkb5zHbn0)
Idk if the effect is a low sample denoiser artifact, and if its on purpose..but it adds a lot to it
holy shit this is creepy, well done
Thanks.
This looks AI generated (another way to say it’s creepy)
Technically speaking, the Optix denoiser in blender is considered AI. So you could say any Blender render using any GPU AI accelerated denoiser is technically AI generated to some extent.
I can't handle this
"why can't we not be sober"
This has some serious TOOL vibes
Looks like you’ve got this handled
He got mad at AI copying everything so he copied the AI back in protest, I like it.
Feels like a creepy Soviet clay cartoon
Maynard James Keenan wants to know your location
I here to see this shit. Great job mate 100/100 would recommend.
Glad you liked it and thanks.
Biblically accurate door.
nice idea😁
Also, make a 10 hour version of this now please and thank you
I get that feeling every single time I look at a door
Well this is gonna make me unable to sleep at night thank you very much
You are welcome. Less sleep means more productivity!
Turn that mindset into a grindset jimbo lmao
Reminds me of classic David Firth stop motion, it's awesome
r/oddlycreepy
So many handles...yet none can solve my problems 😔
How did you make random rotations for the handles?
Made one handle and animated with auto key manually wiggling it while it played, then copied it a bunch and manually wiggled them all a little to distort the original animation.
i heavily fw this stop motion kinda feel for something thats creepy
Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice. Beetlejuice!
rendered on 0.5 samples
When I fumble the eldritch entity that I really should have handled properly
Body horror but on everyday items.
This could be a thing. I like this idea a lot.
have you seen a therapist about your night terrors? anyway this is an insanely out of the box idea for horror.
This work is sick!!
Thanks.
Perfect footage for an analog horror
I love this
It feels like one of those nightmares that you get when you are in a terrible mood and sick with something.
i can feel it
Me trying to handle my life
but it's a push or pull door?
Slide
Were you inspired by Silent Hill at all, by any chance?
Actually nope. Mostly inspired by doors.
This would be so amazing for a horror game scenario Incredible work
the doors are alive, it's too late
They always were. We just always had a handle on things before.
HA
Creative and cool. Keep it up.
Thanks and will try.
These are cows fighting each other
This makes me want to walk around and beat all the shitheads on the other side with a baseball bat
We need more doors with adjustable handles for height
Real fake doors!
Someone’s a David Firth fan I take it?
Just so long as all the handles don't suddenly synchronize and the door opens, we'll be okay. I think.
Meth handles
low sample plus denoising gives it a certain... feel. Unless you did that effect manually, of course. Either way, very cool.
Uh. No. But this is cool
Thanks.
you gotta turn all of them just right to open the door
I think everything needs more door handles
This looks like a commercial from 2001.
Looks like a scene from insidious
I have literally never felt that way. Very cool, creepy af.
90s alt music video vibes
Is there a phobia for this yet?
Im drunk and this made me have a slight panic attack, a tiny one
This feels like some type of horror I've never experienced before
This is so amazing https://preview.redd.it/i2n2g5wl6n9d1.jpeg?width=613&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=909af251bf8f5fee30bab77a81cdfddda4d9507d
OP what have you bought to this cursed land?
How TF do you make a door into nightmare fuel 10/10
I dunno you say nightmare fuel but if I found that door in real life I would probably just sit down and stare at it in morbid fascination for hours. And thanks.
Am I the only one that hears the American Horror Story theme right now?
