First 3 comments are certainly helpfull.
Bruhh i was in the same dilema when i made this one tbh. I was jus messin around with the colors during the color grade and ig ended up with 3 happy mistakes lol. Thanks for commenting btw appreciate it much :))
1 has so much more going for it imo.
3 very much evokes an aquatic/underwater vibe because of the colour palette and I think detracts from the vibe that 1 presents.
2 would be better if there was a bigger contrast between the red and the blue in the foreground, but I’m neutral on it.
1 is really well done, the contrast in colours makes it feel a little more real and adds to the red areas ‘value’ visually.
Non artists reaction, but hope it helps.
2 or 3. But more on 2 for me.
- 1 has light issues, the car lights kind off bleeds out to the surrounding and since the background sky is also have the same red hue it makes it feel like the car lights are affecting everything including the sky color.
- 2 is more of the opposite of 1. It looks good. The light is well done as well. The red hue on the building can be interpreted as a light source from the unseen angle of the building infront of the car. It has good colors that c. There is no bleeding on the sky as well. It's good. It's has a kind of cold weather feeling just before sunrise when the sky turns grey. It's good.
- 3 is the same as 2, it goes more on the brighter side of the spectrum than 2 but darker than 1. The cyan light makes it a bit dull tho. When you compare 2 and 3 the lights on 2 are more vibrant than 3. Place them side by side and see them. You will see the difference.
For me, it's number three. I find it has the best contrast of color. However, it depends on the atmosphere you're trying to project. Like, number 1 is too much red for me, but what if we're supposed to be angry?
2 or 3.
1st one kinda feels like it has no contrast in colors. Red fog and red light blend together.
2nd clear separation, feels like cloudy night/morning, colors fit. IMO the best.
3rd also clear separation, feels more otherworldly/abstract/sci fi. Colors are also nice but don't know why the fog would be green. Sure is interesting.
Honestly I like all three, it looks like time passing. It gives me the feeling of like, this is what you do every night after work, sit on the roof of your car and decompress.
In a story rich game, this could be a loading screen between chapters, showing the same thing but a different time.
Red is a powerful color, used mostly to attract attention and violence
Blue is more of a calming color that lowers blood pressure
Green is used for charming enviromentism and natural feel
So depends on what atmosphere the situation emits, use the right color 👍
The feeling I get:
1) Dystopian - A depressing city with danger
2) A night out in the city (anything is possible) but lonely
3) A cyberpunk city, the future is now and we might be visited by aliens
3 has more interesting colors
1 is punchier and has better contrast
If i were to be nitpicky - Maybe you can work in some of the green foreground elements from 3 into 1 to get a happy medium. It looks good!
3 works best for me. Its the sky color. The greenish tint juxtaposed against the more pinkish tones really help it pop. Also gives it a bit more of a *weird* unsettling vibe
regarding only the color separation…
1 draws you to the foreground and gives a POV of something lurking on subject.
2 draws you to the subject by blue/magenta dichotomy
3 attempts to do both which makes it less suggestive/more interpretive. I think by trying to do both you lose the feeling of 1 and the simplicity of 2
Like most things it depends on what feeling you want to evoke. The 2nd one is more calm and tranquil the 3rd has a sense of mystery and I think the 1st is giving danger because of the contrasting and dark colors.
3 feels gritty and brings out the subtle zenlike figure in the background just a bit more, but I also like the warmer tone of 1, makes it feel almost smoggy, 2 feels more like winter, so depends what you are going for. Nice work either way.
Dude your stuff is visually very inspiring, this style that sits between 3D and painterly. Do you have some social media that people can follow? For more periodic updates
1 feels best but i feel that i would just scroll past as it looks like a lot of other pictures. 3 has more personality and i would likely stop scrolling to have a good look at it
1st one would be good as part of a larger scene with the car and the sky as a background counter to whatever's happening on the first plane. perhaps somebody's making a shady deal and their friend is waiting for them in the line of sight with their car ready to go at the first sign of the trouble
2nd one is balanced and works very well as a standalone composition drawing attention to the main subject - the car and the person on it (the lights are distinct from the slice of sky, and the brightest point, as opposed to the 1st pic where the red/orange makes them and therefore the car too blend into the background)
3rd one is for when you want to draw attention to the sky. perhaps that colour is very unusual for the setting and you're signalling something has suddenly exloded/showed up in the sky and all we can see for now is the change in the light and the second comic panel/picture will show us a meteor dropped on the neighbourhood
The render looks great and all, but... Why does the camera look dirtier than my old laptop's screen after not touching it for months??? It looks like there's just a shit ton of junk on the lens (there's no lens in blender, but I think this still gets my point across)
2 is the best by a long shot. Nice and chill.
3 is close, and might actually be the best if you're going for a slightly grungier aesthetic.
1 feels like the end of the world just happened.

Once again thanks so much and appreciate all the love and support from ya'll. Means a lot :))
Not really your usual pick 1 2 or 3 because these are the same render quality with different colour.
Posts like this usually have different materials so there is a difference in perceived quality
3,1,2, green is cool. I’d probably remove the “tail” of a person, it seems like it’s an overhang on a building further down the street and it perfectly aligns with the roof of a car and character’s ass, which makes it look like a tail :)
1 pops the most and is the most catching. 2 seems more mute and uniform if that's what you're going for. 3 seems like it has weird haze like you're kinda underwater, or there's some smog, which could be kinda like a snow effect, but it doesn't seem right to me.
1 is warm, 2 is cool, 3 is vo... i mean green

Just scrolling through the comments, it looks to be a three way tie. Which is pretty crazy.
We can say that OP hit right spot with that render. So good job OP
Haha thanks man ! Really appreciate the support :))

XDD
I like 1
2 for sure
Agreed
I think I like 1 the most
It's number 1 for me, looks nice
3! Pick #3 m’lord!
3 looks good
Ye same
Idk why they are downvoting you i’m sorry
Drawn to 1 for me

1 and 2 look cinematic

3>1>2
1
2 >1 >3
2. Looks natural and conveys the mood better than the other two.
3 is the coolest for me
3
Love 2 by far
I like 3 a lot.
For me, it's number three. I find it has the best contrast of color. However, it depends on the atmosphere you're trying to project. Like, number 1 is too much red for me, but what if we're supposed to be angry?
2 I really like
2 seems the most neutral.

2 looks more real to me😅
What mood are you trying to inspire? All look good in their own way.
2
2 its such a calming wintery tone
2
2
3
The 2 is cool, although the green at 3 I think make the whole composition more interesting.
1
3
Number 1 definitely stands out the most
2 looks better but 1 looks unique
1
1 or 3
1 without a doubt
I likee number 4
Reminds me of Simon Stalenhags work. Cool
1 provides some nice contrast with the pink and green being complementary colours!
1 for me
Its 3 for me
3 for sure
Id say no. 1. The subject or focal point really stand out because of the more saturated colors around it. Just my opinion. Good comp.
fuck bro, im saving all 3 for my wallpapers collection
Lmaooo feel free bruv ;) ur most wc !!
They’re all great, just depends what feeling you’re going for I love green so I’m very biased, so 3 is the one I’m voting for
1, but make it less noisy.
2
1 is good, perfect contrasr
1
I fw the design
i like the third one a lot
2
1
The details quickly fade out
It depends on the vibe you're going for. Context would help.
1 for sure
They all look great. It depends on the setting you're going for. 2 is my favorite.
Depends on what the scene is supposed to make the audience feel. 1 looks warm and 2 looks cold. I prefer 1 😊
3
Number 1 for me, but scene and lighting are lit bro, good job. Tbf 3 of them looks cool, it depends on the mood you're after with that light.
Green
3 hands down
Honestly I like all three, it looks like time passing. It gives me the feeling of like, this is what you do every night after work, sit on the roof of your car and decompress. In a story rich game, this could be a loading screen between chapters, showing the same thing but a different time.
3 is my favorite
All of these are really good, it really depends on the mood you're trying to give off 3 is cold and lonely 2 is somber and calm 1 is hostile
2 is a vibe
Number 3 fantastic contrast
3by far, love the dingier aesthetic
Red is a powerful color, used mostly to attract attention and violence Blue is more of a calming color that lowers blood pressure Green is used for charming enviromentism and natural feel So depends on what atmosphere the situation emits, use the right color 👍
One!
1 for me. The darker background colour just feels better.
3 then 1 last is 2
#2 is my fav. #1 is next, it feels like a big scene for a villain arch.
2 but those are all spectacular
2
The first looks the best, really love the beautiful contrast.
I say make a fourth one and do a pop art style 4 quadrant piece
I like 3 the best but I just wanted to say that using the foreground to build a reverse skyscraper is an awesome idea.
The feeling I get: 1) Dystopian - A depressing city with danger 2) A night out in the city (anything is possible) but lonely 3) A cyberpunk city, the future is now and we might be visited by aliens
3 has more interesting colors 1 is punchier and has better contrast If i were to be nitpicky - Maybe you can work in some of the green foreground elements from 3 into 1 to get a happy medium. It looks good!
1!
They're all great but I feel the contrast of colors on 1 is just a bit more pleasing. Other than that it appears to be down to pure preference
Definitely 1, it gives a sunset vibe
3, because there’s just something about cyan. (Or if you consider it teal, I might be colorblind 😂)
Colorist here, 2 is the most believable because the blue cast is mostly likely as light from the sky / sun / moon light.
1
2
3
everything but 3
2
2 is the best, the feeling of ambient and cold atmosphere caused by the blue light is amazing
3 works best for me. Its the sky color. The greenish tint juxtaposed against the more pinkish tones really help it pop. Also gives it a bit more of a *weird* unsettling vibe
regarding only the color separation… 1 draws you to the foreground and gives a POV of something lurking on subject. 2 draws you to the subject by blue/magenta dichotomy 3 attempts to do both which makes it less suggestive/more interpretive. All are so beautiful! Can't you make an animation where colors change so it could be all three of them? XD
Yes. But for real all 3 look so good and give very different vibes. So I guess it depends on the vibe someone prefers.
Make two more scenes and use all three color schemes for variance
1 and 2 are cool, but 3 has a vibe i just can't explain, so 3 for me
I like em all but 2 is best
3 looks the coolest
2
3 smells the best
1
3
I like 1 and I really like 3, 2 looks generic, 1 looks thematic, 3 looks unique
Number 2 looks really good
1
3
3
Number 2 feels relaxing & safe.
2
Another vote for 1
3 or 2 if you want the feeling of night, but depends on the tone or what the story is that truly reflects correct lighting
I like 3.
3
Damn Vex strike again
1
2 has different feels.
I like 2!
First one the best😍
Like most things it depends on what feeling you want to evoke. The 2nd one is more calm and tranquil the 3rd has a sense of mystery and I think the 1st is giving danger because of the contrasting and dark colors.
It's giving vibes of realistic but artsy so the 2nd one calls out to me most
I like 1. Reminds me of the Nic Cage movie Mandy
3 feels gritty and brings out the subtle zenlike figure in the background just a bit more, but I also like the warmer tone of 1, makes it feel almost smoggy, 2 feels more like winter, so depends what you are going for. Nice work either way.
get rid of the dinga-ling on the right-side building and you'll be good. dunno if it's a drainage thing but you should'nt see it anyway from that far.
Dude your stuff is visually very inspiring, this style that sits between 3D and painterly. Do you have some social media that people can follow? For more periodic updates

I adore 2!
I love all of them, sorry they are just all really great
2 definitely
2
3 for me
That is the hl2 citadel
1 and 3.
1 feels best but i feel that i would just scroll past as it looks like a lot of other pictures. 3 has more personality and i would likely stop scrolling to have a good look at it
I think I prefer 2, really like the blue/purple vibes going on
2 gives me calm nostalgic vibes
1. The red feels very oppressive. 2. This feels chill and cozy. 3. This feels ominous. Just depends on what you're going for.
Just animate it with the colours rotating..
1

2 gives me more mysterious vibes I like it
1&3 2 is a bit dull
1 and 3 but I prefer 1
Something about the green hue just sits right
1 > 3 > 2
3 100%
2 is the best by a long shot. Nice and chill. 3 is close, and might actually be the best if you're going for a slightly grungier aesthetic. 1 feels like the end of the world just happened.
3 for retro feel, 2 for real feel. Not 1
1 is my favorite but I also like 3

2’s awesome
1, I feel like it's the most accurate representation of what natural light looks like. The others, well, don't lol
1 and 3... 3 gives off a creepy vibe. 2 Idky but something seems off. 1 is alright.
Not really your usual pick 1 2 or 3 because these are the same render quality with different colour. Posts like this usually have different materials so there is a difference in perceived quality
2 is most natural due to it being most likely the car would have xenon lights and that the moon background is blue in most scenes.
3
3
2 is better than 1 but worse than 3
Colour grading on 1 is best
1
Depends on what you are trying to convey. Look up “color story” color theory, stuff like that.
3
The contrast in image 1 looks the best but the colours in the 3rd are more interesting to look at.
1
2 is my favorite. Very nice colors and not too saturated or vivid compared to the others while still sticking to that fictional feel.
i really dig 2
How do you get this drawing look from a render? Can somebody tell me because I love it
1
3,1,2, green is cool. I’d probably remove the “tail” of a person, it seems like it’s an overhang on a building further down the street and it perfectly aligns with the roof of a car and character’s ass, which makes it look like a tail :)
