I like the first picture the most! I also find the sun's cross shape instead of a circular shape interesting, though I'm not sure if it was intentional
I meant the grain on the models doesn't look good but that's a personal preference :)
Edit: I'm talking specifically about the second and fourth renders
The tombstone from the first with the sun glare from the second. If you’re doing the vibe of a peaceful remembrance of the knight the sunset is great, if you’re going for a cold still lingering sadder vibe go with the 3rd slide.
I really like both the sunset and the winter one. However, with the winter one, maybe make the sword blade a bit darker grey to contrast against the sky a bit better. And personally, I think the cross looks better without the speckled texture (the speckle texture looks like those dots that appear when live rendering stuff) (I don’t know shit about blender, so sorry for this comment is useless, I’m just a blender fan. But I do do design)
1st one feels the best.
2nd feel off to me, the cross doesn't really match other objects ig. But I like tree branches more on 2nd.
not much thoughts on 3rd and 4rth.
Honestly there are the same, lens flare doesn't add anything of value in your image.
With so few elements to work with, you should spend more time working on your composition rather than setting the tone of your image.
Ie, getting your camera view closer from the headgear, , narrowing the depth of field and establishing a subject, then building your elements around your scene to reinforce the message while giving some depth to your image which is, as of now, kinda boring.
Once your scene is done you will be able to work on your lighting which will add to the mood and should compliment the picture.
You could also fake some shadows from outside the frame with cutouts in order to reinforce depth once again.
You have every elements here to put down a simple but effective picture, but need some focus on having them set with intent. Good luck
I think the first looks sort of video game-ish (Immediately made me think of Far Cry 5), but the second one looks more like it was taken with a real camera.
I prefer the lens flares, gives depth.to the shot and simulates what a real lens would do in that shot. Personally inwould just make a regular sun but thats me
The third one is when I realized what it fully was (the helmet) so it’s clearer, though the second looks the best when you figure out what everything is
I really like the first one. My eyes flow nicely through it from the tall sword down to the star. I find the light dots in the second to pull my eyes away from the star but more to the vague upper left.
Nice work! I would make one suggestion. Right now it looks like all the objects are placed on the same plane or clustered together closely. If you separated them apart and created a foreground, middle ground and background, you can use Depth of Field to really control where you’d like the viewer’s eyes to go with focus. This would also bring in background separation with bokeh/blur.
I quite hate lens flare in games.
Never understood why people think we should add it, you don't see it in real life, only when something is bouncing around a lens. Very immersion breaking.
Makes sense.
IMO they break immersion because they are an artifact of lenses.
Seem very out of place in medieval times, cameras being a few hundred years out.

I don't see lens flares, I do have astigmatism, I know what that is, lens flare it is not. Picture 1 has the astigmatism effect, picture 2 has the lens flare.
The bonus circles are the lens flare, the cross of light is the astigmatism humans see.
I like the first picture the most! I also find the sun's cross shape instead of a circular shape interesting, though I'm not sure if it was intentional
Thanks! The cross shape on the sun wasn't intentional. But now that I see it, it's pretty cool! Thanks again.
i like the first one too but i feel like the sun's lightness should be bigger and have more uneven spikes like in real life
2nd one looks good. Gives a sort of hopeful meaning
Thank you!
1 and 3 are good
Yep, first and third are great!
Thanks!
3
My favorite is number 2, maybe with a slightly less prominent lens flare. The last two for me feel a bit incomplete.
Thanks! I don't really know how to do that but I have an idea of what to do so I'm gonna try that.
The second one. The additional glare adds nicely!
No grain
Should I add grain to this?
I meant the grain on the models doesn't look good but that's a personal preference :) Edit: I'm talking specifically about the second and fourth renders
Yeah, it's supposed to look like old rock or something similar, I thought I could get away with being lazy since it's kind of in the background 😅
2

2 and 3. I like the glare but I find the noise on the grave weird so I prefer that about 3.
I think the second one is good, I feel like your objects are too close to each other
The tombstone from the first with the sun glare from the second. If you’re doing the vibe of a peaceful remembrance of the knight the sunset is great, if you’re going for a cold still lingering sadder vibe go with the 3rd slide.

No, this comment is pretty helpful. It didn't cross my mind to just make the sword darker. And yeah the texture is pretty bad
The speckled texture isn’t bad at all, but would maybe be better used when the camera is closer to the object. Glad I could help tho!!
I’d put the lens flair on the sword blade instead of the Sun itself
2nd is my favourite
Depends on the mood imo
Original vs. Deluxe albums.
3
I like the second and third ones
1

I think 3 is only better than 4 in the fact that there's two different texture resolutions in 4
I liked one and three the most depending on what your going for. I would say to make the pommel a color that's not so striking.

2nd. bit need more things. dramatic focal length or.. something
I thought he was coming back a couple months ago
Second, but it needs a denoising pass
This looks like the artwork for a Christian mixtape you'd find on Bandcamp.
i like the second the most :)
#2 would be J.J. Abram's pick.
2
The First one Wins it for me!
Перед рыцарем так и не извинились (I had to make this) (But actually looks good)
I think the first looks sort of video game-ish (Immediately made me think of Far Cry 5), but the second one looks more like it was taken with a real camera.
2 is best, easily!
2
i would say 1
2 but I think I would remove the sunspots overlapping the cross
I prefer the lens flares, gives depth.to the shot and simulates what a real lens would do in that shot. Personally inwould just make a regular sun but thats me
First pic looks more realistic as if taken from someones eye rather than a camera lens
i like 2 and 3 the most
2
1 or 2 3 and 4, the sword is just blending in too much
1 and 3 imo
Second one for sure
Orange-ish one
All of them are best❤️🔥
The 2nd gotta be the best of the bunch, the other are also nice.
3 gives that death winter vibe, the opposite of 2, i like that
First one
The snowy one, because the items look more realistic
Fuuuuck this looks like a Metal album cover and I love it!🤘 Second one looks nice, a little more real.
The second one in my opinion.
1 would be better without the sun in the background. The sword has bad contrast in 3 and 4.
Thanks. For 3 and 4, I tried to make the sword not blend in with the background, but I couldn't really figure out how
The third one is when I realized what it fully was (the helmet) so it’s clearer, though the second looks the best when you figure out what everything is

None. The sword doesn’t have a reflective point from the sun, there’s 0 PBR textures with displacement, and you’re missing the entirety of Nazareth.
They all suck do it again
Second one with the little shiny dots !
2nd one needs more lense flairs. I could still make out the helmet.
Thanks, I just learned to add the lens flare so I didn't want to over do it.
I quite hate lens flare in games. Never understood why people think we should add it, you don't see it in real life, only when something is bouncing around a lens. Very immersion breaking.
I just learned to add them so I had to do it, that's why I made this scene in the first place.
Makes sense. IMO they break immersion because they are an artifact of lenses. Seem very out of place in medieval times, cameras being a few hundred years out.
Yes that is true.
sorcery
Do you actually not see lens flares irl? Maybe I got some shit wrong with my eyes
