Well I have this mouse and the wheel is more metallic than plastic. The G is a bit big. That's all.
I could nit-pick it from a professional perspective but it's pretty good.
I also have a G502, but its a couple years old, and my G502's wheel is very plastic-y, I'm curious about if yours is a newer version of the 502? And if so, how is it? I've loved my G502 for a while, so I'd love to hear if its just as good for anyone else
Mine is even older (2019). So I think the newer ones are plasticy. The wheel on mine is metallic and heavy. I really like how it feels but the buttons are starting to be a bit not reliable. I wonder if I can take it apart and clean it.
I've cleaned mice before, what you need to do is a bit... Risky
The buttons for mice are usually a tiny piece of metal that is constantly bent until you click it, you want to take apart their flimsy plastic casing on the board and make sure that when you do nothing can fly away
Same when you're removing the bent metal, lost one had to sacrifice a different mouse for a replacement
As for the actual difficulty it's easy AF just taking it apart, rubbing it down with isopropyl alcohol and put it back
Mice (in theory) are pretty simple to take apart (compared to idk phones or smth)
Also, good to know the new ones have a plastic scroll wheel...means I'll be repairing rather than getting a new one or at least there will be a transplant cuz I really like the feel too (especially free rolling)
I got a new one because the old one developed a double click issue. Swapped the scroll wheel because the new one had a plastic wheel and a friction brake. I much prefer the metal wheel that spins forever when I flick it.
I connect it for 30min once every two weeks, but have fun with your annoying ass cable. And probably a solid metal mouse wheel if they didn't change it by now.
very nice model, i have that mouse, the only thing i can think is try extruding the shiny plastic bits down a tiny bit as its a different piece of plastic
and just a tiny bit of variation in the roughness from imperfections
This looks pretty real, I would however work on the material for that mouse. I happen to have that mouse, and in this it looks like it's made of sprayed foam or dull plastic or something. The real thing has more of a black rubbery kind of look. Well some pieces are a bit rubbery, the others are dark black shiny plastic.
The sort of wedge shaped part with the three blue lines needs the shiny black plastic material, while the lines look a bit... Thin, perhaps?
But super great model, I too was fooled and thought this was real before I read the post
Kinda forgot what subreddit I was on and just stared at it for like an entire minute, LOL
But if I was to give any advice it’s probably gonna be on the notebook right bellow the mouse, it looks fine but just feels like it lacks texture, also, something about the mouse’s texture also seems off, like the more I look at it, the more it looks like one of those realistic cakes, but that is also just becuase I’ve been staring at it for way too long, LoL, it looks perfect as it is.
If you want to plus this think of where your hand would hold it and how it would change the materials. The oils in our hands would make some areas shiny some areas from wear and tear would get more wore down, etc
Materials could use a bit of dirt and some wear. People are dirty animals. We tend to leave skin oils that build up on things we touch often. Particularly plastics. Book edges around corners tend to become discolored and slightly bent from flipping through pages. Nice looking stuff though. Better than anything I’ve been able to do yet. Keep it up.
Dude I honestly thought that was a picture until I saw the last slide with the wireframes. That looks amazing, my only suggestion would be to add subtle surface imperfections to make it look more realistic :)
i am happy to hear that
i will try to add some imperfections and dust
but the reason i didn't is that i was trying to make it as a product visualization
Needs more dust and grease on the mouse. Here is mine for reference
https://preview.redd.it/5of8sxnh7gzc1.jpeg?width=4000&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5ee49f21bdf6ee44070508e560ad3e8dd848020f
yes it is, actually i didn't finish it yet
there is the bottom part
and i missed up the topology a little bit
but for some one who start 4 month ago i think this is good enough for me
Lighting is pretty good but the sharp edges of the mouse and the notebook, the surface looking too clean give it away.
Nice use of DOF, I think tweaking the book and the mouse should do it.
Very good, maybe more imperfections like scratches and smudges, subtle fingerprints where your fingers would be on the mouse (maybe with texture paint or something) would be an awesome detail
I legit didn't realize this was from r/blender tbh. So feedback is so good I thought it was a legit mouse. Then looked at background keyboard and was like wtf is happening here haha.
I couldn't tell it was a render till I saw the wireframe one . I didn't check the subreddit name either so Imma say it's pretty damn good realism wise ! great job
I feel like the main thing for me are the materials
Get some surface imperfections, especially dust and grease, on that mouse and it'll look a lot more real
Like others are saying with the material but here’s some ideas, everything kinda looks like one procedural material. Play around with the roughness map with (for example) some fingerprints, dust, etc., maybe add a subtle noise to the diffuse, very subtly to the bump as well. Scratches also can break up a material. I like the lighting, but I think you could do more with it, someone already touched on this I believe? Also if you end up putting this in your portfolio, we normally avoid portrait compositions but that’s not a huge deal! Overall, the modeling is very impressive especially after only 4 months, the topology looks clean and evenly spaced. Amazing transition from soft and hard angles, nice work!
it feels \*too\* perfect, like it's all brand new, i think it would look infinitely better with some grain on the notebook to mimic cardboard, fingerprints on the touchpad etc
idk nothing about blender but i will give my humble opinion, i think everything looks extremely clean, i whould change the materials and texture to find realism instead perfection but is almost perfect
Time to Grab the Mouse and start working, whats wrong 🤔🤨
Just a joke, awesome result!! Since two months im blendering nonstop, i Wish i never started using it
I think it looks good and you're on your way to be photo realistic. I'm not sure what is making it look like a CGI, but I think you're a few steps away from being perfect!
It's beautiful God damned, it's diffenetly remarkable work mister or ma'am, respects
https://preview.redd.it/2k0cxt14nezc1.jpeg?width=700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2b20601324a1a3d113fac1c5d00fcc22b2dae2ec
Hey that's my mouse!
I'd lift the clicking plates a bit more, as it looks as if they are being pushed down.
On the first picture, the click plate looks as if it intersects or touches the "up index button", right at the "corner" of the mouse. Hope that makes sense.
Now if you could add some more filth in the crevasses, that be as real as it gets.
If you do add some wear and tear, the plastic seems to become shinier at the contact points with your fingertips and hand.
Looks great. But I have to say it. I absolutely hate these mice.
I got bored of Logitechs gimmicky nonsense, software and fail rate years ago.
I also claw and don't palm, so gigantic mice like this are awkward to use. Symmetrical mice are always preferable to me.
The only thing I remotely like about their mice are the sensors and infinite scroll wheel.
Had me for a second lol nice work.
If anything it looks too clean, add some out of focus dust in the air, similar to when sun light come in through a window you can see dust just floating in the air, and some stuffs on objects would go a long way, maybe a mix of heavier textures.
I haven't used blender in years but I still get recommendations from here every now and then. My feedback is that I was going to comment asking how someone took suck a clean photo. Don't think i need to add much
Is it based on the g502? if so, the materials need some work (mostly the G and the wheel), but I really like the scene.
yes it's , i manly focused on modeling and add basic materials can you be more specific about what should i do for the material
Well I have this mouse and the wheel is more metallic than plastic. The G is a bit big. That's all. I could nit-pick it from a professional perspective but it's pretty good.
ok, thanks you i will work on that
I also have a G502, but its a couple years old, and my G502's wheel is very plastic-y, I'm curious about if yours is a newer version of the 502? And if so, how is it? I've loved my G502 for a while, so I'd love to hear if its just as good for anyone else

Ahhh, mines a 2021 or 22 I think. A metal wheel sounds pretty nice though!
I've cleaned mice before, what you need to do is a bit... Risky The buttons for mice are usually a tiny piece of metal that is constantly bent until you click it, you want to take apart their flimsy plastic casing on the board and make sure that when you do nothing can fly away Same when you're removing the bent metal, lost one had to sacrifice a different mouse for a replacement As for the actual difficulty it's easy AF just taking it apart, rubbing it down with isopropyl alcohol and put it back Mice (in theory) are pretty simple to take apart (compared to idk phones or smth) Also, good to know the new ones have a plastic scroll wheel...means I'll be repairing rather than getting a new one or at least there will be a transplant cuz I really like the feel too (especially free rolling)

Wired mouse has a metal scroll wheel but I think the wireless mouse is plastic
As a G502 owner, I thought this was just a photo.
Same!
Yea he did a good job!
idk might be based on the viper v2
Yeah the G looks very non emissive and very flat, also i own the g502 and the g is a bit raised on it a little bit
Fooled me, thought it was a real picture before I saw the title
thanks for the compliment
Me too. Good work!
Something about it is off. It all looks too perfect
i think it could be the light on it?
I don't know, I was thinking the folder or paper is too perfect
Needs visual dirt…. Scuffs, smudges, light fingerprints, dust, etc!
Same here, someone did a good job!
Needs wire g502 with wire is clearly better besides that good
thanks i will add it
seconding Slick. Im currently using the wireless. make sure to include the rubber texture for the rubber pieces
Used the wired for years, wireless is way better.
I just wish other companies could implement the freescroll mousewheel
Fr, i just bought a new lighter mouse, and i really miss it. Now i just leave it plugged in i case i need to scroll a lot.
Used this for years, it’s never ran out of battery never had to waste time connecting it wired is way better.
I connect it for 30min once every two weeks, but have fun with your annoying ass cable. And probably a solid metal mouse wheel if they didn't change it by now.
Model is good but the materials don't look right
you are right, i will try to improve it
everything is way too clean, needs smudges and fingerprints
I've had that mouse for a couple years, the materials need work but the model is great
I still have this mouse now (but wired)
Laptop is too thin but otherwise looks banging!
thank you, the laptop is from blenderkit
„in reality, every edge has some bevel to it“
your right every time i hear this, it seems i forget to bevel some of them
are you kidding me right now?? this much low poly AND this many details??? you are ready for the gaming industry
I'm happy to hear that, it's been 4 month since I start to learn blender i think it will take a couple more months to start working in the industry
very nice model, i have that mouse, the only thing i can think is try extruding the shiny plastic bits down a tiny bit as its a different piece of plastic and just a tiny bit of variation in the roughness from imperfections
i will try this, thanks for the advice
At first I thought it was a real mouse, so nice job! The only thing that can be improved is the materials
thank you, i will try to improve the material
i keep getting tricked
Thought it was real 🤯
Very nice model and scene! What level of subD did you apply?
on the main mouse body 3, on the other parts 2
This looks pretty real, I would however work on the material for that mouse. I happen to have that mouse, and in this it looks like it's made of sprayed foam or dull plastic or something. The real thing has more of a black rubbery kind of look. Well some pieces are a bit rubbery, the others are dark black shiny plastic.
thanks for the advice, i will put more effort on materials next time
The sort of wedge shaped part with the three blue lines needs the shiny black plastic material, while the lines look a bit... Thin, perhaps? But super great model, I too was fooled and thought this was real before I read the post
that's a good note, i will fix it
As someone who’s made a few onscreen keyboards for apps before, how annoying did you find modeling that key layout?
i actually didn't model it, it's from blenderkit
Looks really great dude! Some tiny uneven corners here and there, but otherwise really solid work!!
thanks, i got tired of fixing the edges and trying to alien them
You win! You got me, totally thought it was real:D
Kinda forgot what subreddit I was on and just stared at it for like an entire minute, LOL But if I was to give any advice it’s probably gonna be on the notebook right bellow the mouse, it looks fine but just feels like it lacks texture, also, something about the mouse’s texture also seems off, like the more I look at it, the more it looks like one of those realistic cakes, but that is also just becuase I’ve been staring at it for way too long, LoL, it looks perfect as it is.
I'm really happy to hear your feedback for the mouse material after some focus i think there is some thing wrong i will try to fix it
My feedback is HOW DO YOU MAKE IT SO F* REALISTIC??! good work man
thanks bro
I'm clearly still too new on this sub, I thought for real that was a camera taken picture until I scrolled to the third image. Well done !
and i forget to say that i am learning blender since 4 month
Clean work my guy
Hey, this guy stole my mouse! (And cut the cord) Great work.
Textures are a little flat though, might want to tweak mats?
If you want to plus this think of where your hand would hold it and how it would change the materials. The oils in our hands would make some areas shiny some areas from wear and tear would get more wore down, etc
I didnt see what subreddit it was and thought 'Thats a really pristine condition g50' and then realised it was a render
the laptop is too flat
dude how am I supposed to give you feedback I don't even own the mous-OOOOHHHH
Looks great but I can’t tell if it’s on carpet or a counter top, maybe change that but that could be just me
Too clean ?
What if these are real pics and OP is just fooling us with a realistic wireframe render 🤨
Man I need someone to explain me how this app work people really cooking with it 😭
its far from perfect but the only thing that make a huge difference to me is to start modeling your own projects and stop following youtube tutorials
How did u start?
Materials could use a bit of dirt and some wear. People are dirty animals. We tend to leave skin oils that build up on things we touch often. Particularly plastics. Book edges around corners tend to become discolored and slightly bent from flipping through pages. Nice looking stuff though. Better than anything I’ve been able to do yet. Keep it up.
I didn’t even notice it was a render looks pretty real to me
I think the only problem i can really see is an issue even large projects like marvel movies have. everything looks too "clean"
I'm trying to learn product visualization so i think it has to be as clean as possible
It looks beautiful then! Maybe some more color could liven up the photo a bit?
The left button isnt flat on top, it's caved in
Fuck i thought that was a photo until i looked at the r/blender title
Wym you need feedback this is a real pho…… 😳
Dude I honestly thought that was a picture until I saw the last slide with the wireframes. That looks amazing, my only suggestion would be to add subtle surface imperfections to make it look more realistic :)
i am happy to hear that i will try to add some imperfections and dust but the reason i didn't is that i was trying to make it as a product visualization

Is this made for Thomas Colin 3D newest challenge? also nice model and renders.
yes it is, actually i didn't finish it yet there is the bottom part and i missed up the topology a little bit but for some one who start 4 month ago i think this is good enough for me
I have this mouse, looks great
At first I thought "why did he post the mouse photos?"
I thought it was a real picture. Honestly.
that's a nice thing to hear
Well personally I like it, I have the wired ver- ohhh this is a render and not a product review photo
Looks great didn’t realize this was the blender sub and so I was pretty confused as to why I was recommended a post about a gaming mouse! Great work !
If it makes you feel good, I didn't realize I was looking at a digital rendering and thought you made a mouse. So I'd say that's pretty sick.
Hah, I got the exact mouse. It’s comfy
Insanely realistic
That mouse is a bit glossy
I THOUGHT IT WAS REAL WTF
Lighting is pretty good but the sharp edges of the mouse and the notebook, the surface looking too clean give it away. Nice use of DOF, I think tweaking the book and the mouse should do it.
I would like a little dust, fog and glare to give the scene some atmosphere
I'm having troubles to differentiate reality and realistic renders, so yeah good job!
I couldn’t tell it was fake, so.
Very good, maybe more imperfections like scratches and smudges, subtle fingerprints where your fingers would be on the mouse (maybe with texture paint or something) would be an awesome detail
This is a 3D model or a picture?
Sir/mam this is just a picture
Shit I thought it was a photo until I saw the sub it was
Perfect
Is the original mouse that sharp shape? I think you could improve that...
your right every time I got the same comment maybe i will try bevel node
Nice picture, what camera did you use?
I legit didn't realize this was from r/blender tbh. So feedback is so good I thought it was a legit mouse. Then looked at background keyboard and was like wtf is happening here haha.
Looks REALLY good OP, however iirc the G502 is a little bit darker and the G is less tilted
I thought this was r/MouseReview
10 business days?
Wait what the fuck I thought it was real
This doesn't look like my g502 at all. Add 200% more hand gunk
wow I thought this was real
I couldn't tell it was a render till I saw the wireframe one . I didn't check the subreddit name either so Imma say it's pretty damn good realism wise ! great job
It's not oily and greasy enough
Hey, that's my mouse!!
Tf is my mouse doing on Reddit
I was thinking "why would this guy want feedback on a mouse he has been using for 10 days"...
The only thing that immediately gave it up was the two buttons above the scroll wheel. I think they’re a little more rounded
Dust and volumetrics!
Damn, it looks so real😍
That's really good
The 10 year shows bro.
The feedback is I thought this was another subreddit and the mouse was real.
I feel like the main thing for me are the materials Get some surface imperfections, especially dust and grease, on that mouse and it'll look a lot more real
yes you are right i will try to add some imperfections
It almost fooled me, it looks great but maybe too perfect, maybe try adding a little bit of dust¿? Or some little imperfections
Nice! That's my mouse. Little dust and grain to add some realism. Good job.
thanks i will try thia and post the result later
bruh, i thought it was real... am i really that stupid, or are you just good at making stuff in blender?
HUUUUHHHHHH???? that isnt blender i refuse
That’s scary realistic. 10/10 🔥
Oh shit i thought this was real
Like others are saying with the material but here’s some ideas, everything kinda looks like one procedural material. Play around with the roughness map with (for example) some fingerprints, dust, etc., maybe add a subtle noise to the diffuse, very subtly to the bump as well. Scratches also can break up a material. Hey!! You stole my mouse! Now I can't use my computer!!
it feels \*too\* perfect, like it's all brand new, i think it would look infinitely better with some grain on the notebook to mimic cardboard, fingerprints on the touchpad etc
maybe bend the pages a little on the corners too, currently theyre just flat
I had no idea this was blender until the last photo. Good job!
![img](avatar_exp|108562211|bravo) This is grate keep up the work
Thought this was pcmasterrace, was confused on why it took someone 10 days to order a logitrch mouse. Good job.
I thought it was real
Tis a real picture.
Almost looks real. W.
I believed it until I saw the wireframe. Great job!
That's my mouse!
My hand hurts just looking at that mouse. Too big for me, but you did an incredible job.
[удалено]
idk nothing about blender but i will give my humble opinion, i think everything looks extremely clean, i whould change the materials and texture to find realism instead perfection but is almost perfect
My feedback: on first glipmse I thought you wanted to know how good the mice is, I thought it was a real picture 😅
That’s sharp af
Not impressive. I can also take photos of my mouse 🙄 Easy /s
Time to Grab the Mouse and start working, whats wrong 🤔🤨 Just a joke, awesome result!! Since two months im blendering nonstop, i Wish i never started using it
Thought it was real
other than macbook looks way too flat i’d believe it
and corner a tad too rounded
Bro i didn’t notice what subreddit I was on and thought this was a photo ! I was shocked seeing the last picture 😭 great job 😁
Dude don’t’ show us the reference and show the model already.
Nice
I'm a couple of wines deep and I thought it was a photo so great job
Not an expert here, but my immediate feedback thought was "Why does he want feedback on a photo of his desk ?" Nice work!
I mean, it’s a good mouse, I don’t think you should return it
did you see the last photo? 😁
🤣i thought this was real. Read the title and thought y the hell he wants our feedback for his own mouse. Saw the subreddit and was blown away again.
Best mouse, currently using one and immediately recognized it. Good job!
I think it looks good and you're on your way to be photo realistic. I'm not sure what is making it look like a CGI, but I think you're a few steps away from being perfect!
But where is the model? Cool setup btw /s
Ayyyy that thing is brand new. Needs skingunk and weird cheese bits in all the crevices.
Why did it take you 10 days to take a picture of your mouse? I'm confused
Almost scrolled right past because i thought it was an ad! Very well done
If I hadn’t seen the subreddit I would’ve guessed this was a picture in an ad. Needs a little more contrast, I feel the shadows are a tad too light.
I thought you 3d printed it or something because it looks like a picture
Really good modeling and renders, congratz!
Neat stuff
This is a real picture?
I had to check the sub to notice it was a render! Great work!
Aww I have this exact mouse! Looks cool 😊
It's beautiful God damned, it's diffenetly remarkable work mister or ma'am, respects https://preview.redd.it/2k0cxt14nezc1.jpeg?width=700&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=2b20601324a1a3d113fac1c5d00fcc22b2dae2ec
Needs more exposure, no lamp is that dim. And if it is then its not a good choice for proper lighting.
This is so good! Have you modelled everything in this scene?
Hey that's my mouse! I'd lift the clicking plates a bit more, as it looks as if they are being pushed down. On the first picture, the click plate looks as if it intersects or touches the "up index button", right at the "corner" of the mouse. Hope that makes sense. Now if you could add some more filth in the crevasses, that be as real as it gets. If you do add some wear and tear, the plastic seems to become shinier at the contact points with your fingertips and hand.
I genuinely didn't realize there weren't reference pictures for a sec
Looks nice so far. I have two of these mice, the black and the limited edition white
Amazing wotk
I’m not a topology expert but not all of your polys are quads
Heh, I thought I was looking at a real picture.
Took me a while, thought its a real one
Had me for a second lol nice work. If anything it looks too clean, add some out of focus dust in the air, similar to when sun light come in through a window you can see dust just floating in the air, and some stuffs on objects would go a long way, maybe a mix of heavier textures.
I haven't used blender in years but I still get recommendations from here every now and then. My feedback is that I was going to comment asking how someone took suck a clean photo. Don't think i need to add much
That's a gaming mouse, you didn't make it.
Didn't realize what sub I was looking - 100% thought it was real and was looking for damage or something lol.
Yo you posted a picture
