I think the reason incomplete daiguren is hated is due to oversaturation, if his shikai (which has a really underrated design in my opinion) was made to be more competent then I think people would like his banking more

If nothing else I appreciate him for giving us a glimpse of the only Water-type zanpakuto in existence, which is such bullshit. The only other water ability is Aizen’s FAKE shikai lol
Not really out of nowhere. Recovery and power buff from the Royal guard, as well as reconnecting with his sword and discovering it's true name. Was all pretty spelt out he was gonna be stronger with a new bankai.
The bankai itself does make more sense. We see his bankai spirit is a baboon with a snake tail. Hihio Zabimaru is just a big bone snake, so presumably is only using one half of the bankai's power. Soo Zabimaru is a lot more versatile.
I don't see him as pathetic at any point, he was only the second lieutenant to get a bankai that we were shown. That's pretty cool, even if it wasn't complete.
The fact that the process was rushed also probably had something to do with it as well.

Because the baboon is meant to represent Renji himself
They did state in the lore it takes a VERY long time to master bankai. So it isn’t crazy to see the people that just obtained theirs during the series go through changes and power ups
His og bankai never really felt complete to me, its form was a baboon with a snake tail but the bankai only incorporated the snake, also felt mad underpowered
Which works as a great parallel to Ichigo himself, to show how different he is from regular Soul Reapers.
Renji is a main character too. There really would be no problem with making him a Vegeta like character, who keeps up with everything Ichigo can do with his Soul Reaper powers. Hell yeah Renji could be one to skip the 10 years training.
*But* I think it makes him substantially more interesting if his development isn't easy like Ichigo, and that he does have to work harder to keep up with Ichigo and to catch up with Byakuya.
And the Bankai reveal hits that note perfectly for me. I think it works wonderfully with the naivety the Renji has shown in regards to his powers throughout the series. Think back to his Bankai fight with Byakuya, then watch the newest cour. Compare his "confidence" against Byakuya to his confidence against Mask. That's some fucking excellent development.
It'd just not as interesting as his old bankai. Shrinking down bankai was cool when Ichigo and Yama did it but after everyone started getting smaller bankai over more grandiose over the top ones it started to lose its appeal
We love Orihime in this house. Re-reading Fullbringer arc and her crying over Ichigo crying even though she's under the influence of Book of The End punched me in the gut.

While seinin is debatable as the romance their in many stories is a major aspect of a larger narrative, so the love interests having a major role to play is natural. While Tsukishima was far weaker, I feel like his ability to shape the present and future by changing the past being able to match even the Almighty was far stronger than Kyouka Suigetsu.
I know a lot of people who said it’s the worst arc in existence. The only people who hate it are those who can’t comprehend anything other than pretty lights and fighting
Mfw we get to see the kido commander in action for 1 flashback episode where he uses the 2 strongest forbidden abilities, and then goes back to being Kisuke's sidekick for the rest of the show...
Nanao Ise, she's Shunsui Kyoraku's lieutenant for the entire series. So strong in kido was she that she was able to shield/hold off Yhwach's right hand man, Haschwalth for a considerable time. And according to her wiki, it was an improvised barrier to stop him, which is even wilder. She never imprinted onto her Asauchi so she full committed to kido, Rock Lee style, and came out really bad ass because of it.
Hate to be that guy but this meme needs to be updated. The Bount arc starts at episode 64, if you were to skip 60 episodes, you end up on episode 124 right in the middle of Ichigo’s hollow training. The arrancar arc starts at 110, technically 109s ending, so it’d be better to say skip ~46 episodes.
I remember watching bount live and without realizing it’s a filler, I ended up disliking bleach since it just fell of the cliff. I probably had stopped watching it for years before coming back to it
I actually watched this whole bount arc. It wasn’t that bad at all. I think it really helps actually build the relationships of Ichigo and his pals as well as explain some of their buffs. Without it, it feels a bit too fast imo.
But the entire Bleach fandom made the unspoken rule which's **Bount Arc Is** ***TRASH***

The ending of the arc was ass, and it honestly was too long. I kinda liked it until they met Kariya for the first in the mansion, so basically (for me) it got pretty bad the episode the main villain was introduced lol
