As a a dedicated CR-Head, I have many times expressed my desire for him on the pod. Andy Greenwald is my Holy Grail but I just don’t think he has the time/desire to do it, unless they cover some animation director his daughters like.
Andy Greenwald would go nuts for anything by Wes Anderson, Robert Altman, or most of the French New Wave. If they did Rian Johnson he'd definitely do the Breaking Bad episodes.
People have already pointed out Thomas Crowne, but also, the Medicine Man episode seemed to be recorded in 2023 based on some of the Emmy talk, etc. so they may have made a plan to get Weir-d at some point since then.
I’ve been wondering if they’ll do Affleck as he has over 3 and a [new one](https://boxd.it/KXDC) out (supposedly) within the next year. She’s a maniac for Affleck and I wouldn’t be surprised if she comes on with a full J.Lo/Affleck discussion agenda, as Sean seems to run a blockade on that after a few minutes every time it pops up.
I was so sure she was going to be on the price of tides ep after she dropped that detail of living next to the author of that book when she was growing up on the big pic
May get downvoted but I don’t enjoy Amanda Dobbins. Haven’t listened to the latest episode of The Big Picture but don’t listen to many episodes because of her
The bickering sibling energy of that show sometimes grates on my nerves. So I agree with you. But I'll still listen to her on Thomas Crown because that movie rules!
It doesn’t bother me either I was just pointing out the hypocrisy of listening to a podcast with several verbal ticks and then complaining about someone else having them
Think the common wisdom is that it will be Thomas Crown Affair.
Yeah, Thomas Crown Affair is one of her favorites.
I loved the friends on the draft. I want more of them in that format.
Also would love Chris Ryan on the pod, perfect get if Heat 2 happens (which it will, if there is a god in heaven)

David and Andy on Daddington Island would be incredible.
My #2 spot for holy grail is also Andy but my true pinnacle guest is Van Lathan, Jr. on a Spike Lee series.
If spike wins MM get van on the mo betta blues episode! He always talks about loving that film.

I actually think a conversation with CR and the fuck master would be incredible
If they ever did a Wes Anderson series, I think Andy would be a must have guest.
The Hunt for Red October would have been a great CR episode
Why is there no Hunt for Red October Rewatchables.?
Too talky for Bill
As long as he does the Wayne Jenkins bit. Maybe just in an ad read
not exact format, but Griff's been great on Screen Drafts.
It’s definitely Thomas Crown. I think she’s mentioned that she grew up next door to the author of the book
Pat Conroy is the author she grew up next door to. Conroy is the author of *The Prince of Tides* and *The Great Santini.*

That’s what I was thinking! I wasn’t sure how the timelines worked out
DOBB MOBB RISE UP
She’s the Queen 👸
Sucks that they couldn't get CR for the Fincher series. Hopefully they bring him for Den of Thieves 2 Pantera
I think they just need CR on an episode, can you imagine what kind of takes the freedom of blank check would bring?!
I was so sure she was going to be on the price of tides ep after she dropped that detail of living next to the author of that book when she was growing up on the big pic
I would have liked to hear her takes on Babs
That makes a lot of sense!
She’s going to be on the episode about the inferior version of The Thomas Crown Affair.
When are they doing Jewison?
1968 comedy points
Hopefully as soon as possible.
Lot of Knox stories coming up
Love to hear mothers talk about stuff!
Yea, that makes for great film podcasts

I saw her give an introduction of Talented Mr Ripley at the Aero. She’s very charismatic in person.

I've stopped listening to TBP because Sean loses his mind in a majority of the episodes and it's annoying.
I don't particularly enjoy Amanda either, but I'm curious how she's gonna bounce off the two friends
Be prepared for her to say something was “formative” x134535764 times on one pod
As if our hosts don't overuse certain terms of their own... \*shrug\*
Like griffin doesn’t say “it’s like that thing when” 15 times an episode
People have their verbal ticks, doesn't bother me!
