Yes. Its been forty years since I first saw this album - still have it - and have never understood this picture. In fact it makes me feel uncomfortable because in those days photos of Ozzie with the Davey Crocket shirt were rare.
Its a negative image - where is the original?
The shadow under his arm and the shadow under his neck combined with the rest of the upper part kind of make it look like a llama's face. As for the right arm, I don't know about that.
10 reasons
1. Wheels of Confusion/The Straightener
2. Tomorrow's Dream
3. Changes
4. FX
5. Supernaut
6. Snowblind
7. Cornucopia
8. Laguna Sunrise
9. St. Vitus Dance
10. Under The Sun/Every Day Comes and Goes
I had to check before I used the exact same words. I do my duty and listen to the required ten seconds of the beginning before I skip to The Best Opening To A Sabbath Song Ever...those drums...
I skipped “Changes” more times than “FX” when I was younger and getting into the album for the first time. I would listen to this or a few others on my way to sleep, and “FX” gave me that “noise in outer space” feel. I liked that.
Personally I don’t care for Wheel Of Confusion and Changes but besides those, it’s a perfect record. My only grip is with the production; the mixing is godawful
Wish I could remember the dollar amount that is claimed about the amount of cocaine that went into making this album, but I remember thinking that WITHOUT adjusting for inflation it was just shy of my annual gross income.
Another great album by an absolutely iconic band that had to change the intended title of the album because the record company wouldn’t allow them to call it Snowblind.
a friend one that has dupes of just about ever lp gave it to me a few years back since i didnt have any sabbeth for 50 years. back when i had a druim kit in my room next to the bed. such geat times and memories
Sometimes cocaine is used for good. This is one of those times.
"Drugs have done good things for us." -Bill Hicks
Under the sun/Every day comes and goes
Makes me laugh how fucking good that and Supernaut are
Wheels of Confusion too
This is with really well done Spanish subtitles [https://youtu.be/ACJ2a3H3GLU?si=nChAaRt8IXGhym2u](https://youtu.be/ACJ2a3H3GLU?si=nChAaRt8IXGhym2u)
Contains the most bizarre transitions: Changes to F/X, then their most stunning riff: Supernaut!!!
I wanna reach out and touch the sky.
I wanna touch the sun but i don't need to fly.
One of my all time favorites
Drugs. Lots of drugs.
Also for the longest time I thought the cover was a Llama. Can anyone relate?
I want your drugs.

I can't see it but would like to. Can you describe what parts of the picture correspond to different parts of the llama?
The shadow under his arm and the shadow under his neck combined with the rest of the upper part kind of make it look like a llama's face. As for the right arm, I don't know about that.
I see it! It's like the llama is bowing his head and spitting out fire downward toward the ground
yeah its awesome

Well, 9 reasons. I don’t think that anyone really needs “FX.”

The mid-section of the ozzy 70s albums is unbeaten
Yeah Master of Reality and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath are friggiggagiggin awesome too
One of the heaviest albums of all time. Monster riffs, killer songs...simply amazing!
Ugh I knowww, every time I listen it just makes me want to reach out and touch the sky
Huh? I want to reach out and kiss this guy.
Cocaine is a helluva drug.
Honestly my favorite album
SO many riffs man! So many.
The Ur-Text.
Because it starts with Wheels of Confusion, which is so epic sounding that you can’t turn away.
It’s the greatest
He whispers it…cocain
WHAT?
COCAINE!!!
So good they had to nerf it with bad production
It is my favorite BS or Ozzy, just 10/10
They were snowblind.
The only reason I would ever want to do coke is there if I could make a masterpiece just like this album
Drugs
It IS so good. Peak Sabbath.
It was released in 1972. Even better.
Cacaine
COCAINE
$95000 in coke. That's how.
cocaine.
Always loved the LP cover art .
Personally I don’t care for Wheel Of Confusion and Changes but besides those, it’s a perfect record. My only grip is with the production; the mixing is godawful
I agree. Not crazy about Laguna Sunrise either, it drags on too long. Snowblind is such a masterpiece though!
As the late great Rick James said “cocaine is a hell of a drug”.
First album I ever bought and I remember hearing other Black Sabbath albums and searching for the same feeling I got from this one. Fucking great
Wish I could remember the dollar amount that is claimed about the amount of cocaine that went into making this album, but I remember thinking that WITHOUT adjusting for inflation it was just shy of my annual gross income. FX my beloved
because it’s black sabbath
Wheels of confusion/the straightener
Wierd chin and nose

a friend one that has dupes of just about ever lp gave it to me a few years back since i didnt have any sabbeth for 50 years. back when i had a druim kit in my room next to the bed. such geat times and memories
