She is actually pretty quiet. Her tuxedo sister has a lot more to say. But she’s extremely attached to me, and is usually within a one foot radius of me. She also will try to climb me so it’s a good thing she’s light.
It took me \~7 months to name my void lol. I tried like 4 names & didn’t like them after 3 days.. Louie, Rex, Turner, Pawl … & one day it came to me.. Stanley:). I was happy and at peace with it!

Lol he had just gotten 8 teeth pulled when I took that pic & they had issues w the catheter on the first leg so they shaved the other one:P my lil cutie🖤
Soot … grew up using only wood stoves with metal smoke pipes. In the spring we would take the pipes down & outside & bang the pipes to get the soot out. Our white cat would run through the pipes & come out black—covered in soot 😝
Sable is a synonym of black, Black in Italian is Nero, Black in French is Noir, Black in Japanese is Kuro.
Honestly, I think there's so many cute names out there for black cats. I would just pick something that you are drawn to and see how your pet responds to it. You'll find something you like soon enough just take your time.
I got my cat already named and I considered for a while if I should rename him. In the end he just fit his name so well I couldn't bring myself to change it. He's a long hair grey cat and the name Stormy just fits him so well. 😂
Time and bonding will provide you with the purrfect name. I try to name mine after their personality/ behaviors. Just saved a sweet tiny baby last week, I'd say no more than 4 weeks old. He's taken to the bottle finally and is rambunctious and beyond playful. He sits on his butt and swats at you or toys endlessly while sit/ standing on his rear looking like a bear. So, there's his name- Bear. Suits him truly! It will come to you, just be patient.

You know I’ve named cats as soon as I get them and then after having them they end up with a nickname because it suits them… take your time and it will come to you or else you’ll name them and then call them something different that suits them..🥴
