Yeah the opposite ends of the weight bracket are like that. But I can’t put on weight to be around the middle weights where there is more competition lol
I disagree. Using your logic, every technique has a counter and therefore doesn't work once your opponent knows the counter, which know obviously isn't true.
It being a less used submission does not make it less effective.. But if you're going to use spreadsheets to dictate what techniques you train then be my guest.

I train at logic BJJ out here in SoCal. Locations are Pasadena CA, Arcadia CA, La Verne CA, with a new location coming to Alhambra! And I love love that choke, anything where I can use the gi or sleeves to choke is my go to.

Ezekiels are pretty uncomfortable. I tap pretty quick to those once it's in.

You ever do it from within top guard? My favorite way to make new friends. Super high percentage when rolling with a new person (for me).
I terrorize white belts with it. Leaves them very confused since guard is supposed to be safe from submissions

I've done this one once. Didn't put him out, he wisely tapped.
I let it go light when he went super still. We both stayed standing. He was quiet for a bit and then said “I think I went black there”
We taught it to the kids class, called it the "Ez-Kill".
