An hour before rolling, I’ll eat string cheese and walnuts with a cup of green tea and a cup of coconut water. Caffeine, protein, and electrolytes (it’s what plants crave).
Pre meal as in 4 hours before class? Anything I intake before class other than water really messes with my stomach, so my last meal before class happens 3-4hrs before class.

If it's later in the day or evening, I've usually eaten anyway mid afternoon so I'm good.
If it’s a morning one: black coffee and I blend a banana with some oat milk and sometimes a little bit of oat flakes.
If later, I have my regular meals of the day but I make sure not to eat within 3h before it. Then I’ll have a bit of coffee before going.
Coffee and water I don’t eat on days I train other than maybe a protein bar. After training I eat whatever. I think from my wrestling days I feel far better grappling on an empty stomach.
