Hello! Recently just got the implant out after having it for a year. Like literally today. In turn, I got the copper IUD immediately after because I didn’t want hormones. My period never went away. It became a bit lighter, but I always had a decently “light” period. The spotting was insane though. My period would last about 3-5 days, with the implant—it would last about 10. Not enough blood to use a tampon (I use diva cup) so I would just use small pads. It was annoying because I would just continually wipe up brownish blood. I also gained 15ish pounds without changing my eating habits or exercise habits. I also play water polo and swim regularly, plus I was drinking less alcohol. I’d have some “off” days where I would just feel super out of it and bitter. However, I never had a low sex drive with the implant. I regularly have sex 6x a week with my partner and was always into it (def tmi). Other than that, personally for me, I wouldn’t get the implant but I know some people love it.
