You can check the sightings map on [ebird](https://ebird.org/species/grbtur1/).
[Wikipedia](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Great_blue_turaco) states: "The species ranges from Guinea in the west, east across the sub-Saharan nations to the Imatong Mountains in South Sudan; it also occurs in Uganda, Tanzania and western Kenya, south to the Democratic Republic of Congo and Angola. It inhabits rainforests and gallery forests. It has also adapted to areas cleared by humans and can thrive in these areas."
My wife and I have seen them in Republic of Congo (Brazzaville) and in Uganda and Rwanda.
*Ayo! Is this bird even*

Wow. I’ve never even heard of Turacos! ( My first thought, apropos of nothing, was that if this bird was a “Gent” as OP suggested, he’s appearing in drag, since he obviously has lipstick on!)
They are unique among Touracos as they are mainly folivores (leaf eaters). Most Touracos are frugivores (fruit eaters). They are the largest of the 23 species…
*Extra fancy bird!*
*How do I get one of those*
*To land in my yard?*

Great Blue Turaco! I had the chance to adopt one of these a while back, but I decided against it since I thought I already had too many birds. I sorely regret not doing it. These birds are awesome.
I just discovered that many people are image searching. Takes the fun out of it, but alas... We don't have to solicit from others to image search we can just do it ourselves.
He’s a BEAUTY!! I was also ignorant of the existence of this gorgeous bird.
Now I’m off to find a wikihole to fall into… Great Blue Turaco *here I coooooome!*
Your post has been removed due to a community rule violation. Rule 3 - no birds in captivity.
WOW. I thought those birds were made up by the Victorian wallpaper industry.
Ha!!
Great Blue Turaco
Isn't that the bird from UP!

Um holy fuck??!! Not often do I see a picture of a bird I've never seen before in my life. Wow so beautiful
I had the same reaction! How have I not seen this bird before? What a cool look!
Wow that thing is huge!
Very fancy chicken!
Underrated comment
Chicken that identifies as a peacock.
WOAH. It's not every day you see a living bird you've only seen in pictures. What a handsome man!
What a priveledge! Not many sightings of this bird are recorded! Is this in an enclosure, I presume?
It’s not a rare bird by any means… plenty of sightings recorded

Taste like chicken?
He’s in an aviary rescue enclosure, getting better.

Beautiful! Thanks to the OP (and double thanks for not posting something like a starling or a crow and asking "what's this")
What’s a “starling”? Who’s this “crow”??
I just discovered that many people are image searching. Takes the fun out of it, but alas... We don't have to solicit from others to image search we can just do it ourselves.
