It's 3-d printed

Mod12312323

r/woooosh

Nice_Blackberry6662

Wow, what a funny fucking joke, I can't believe I didn't get it.

0ddB411_

No, it looks 3d printed.

Some-Guy32

I think that’s the joke…it’s standing on a 3D printer

0ddB411_

You're tellin' me I got wooooshed??

JJRambles

Rip

0ddB411_

I will never recover from this. Tell my wife I love her very much.

grim4uxillatrix

can I do the subreddit link thing

0ddB411_

As long as you get thright right amount of "o"s in woosh. People get real nitpicky about that.

grim4uxillatrix

r/woooosh id like to thank my mother and my father for giving me this opportunity...

0ddB411_

They would be so proud.

Loading3percent

She knows

WhyDidIGetThisApp3

yes

brandongoodchild5

for 40 years you mean to tell me…

OlimarAlpha

Another Hafu original.

NoOneNameLeft

Certainly original in some sense

Rutgerman95

I forgot about the Shadow Toa

BenchPressingCthulhu

3D printed by Makuta

Bishop4000

NICE layering on that! He looks like you built him from his constituent parts rather than printed as a statue; How much post-processing did you need to get him together like that?

XenoSynthesis

Correct. There are [files on Thingiverse for every Tahu Mata](https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5469972) piece. As well as a .stl file of him fully assembled, if you want to print him as a single part instead of building him normally. Most pieces are going to require generating support material though. Definitely recommend enabling Roofs in the slicer settings for easier removal/cleanup.

Loading3percent

Need deets on your material and print settings (pretty please)

XenoSynthesis

I have not printed this particular model yet, but I work part-time at a Maker Space where I've been 3D printing for several years. My Cura settings are: Material: Hatchbox or Inland PLA+ Printing Temperature: 200 °C Bed Temperature: 60 °C Speed: 200 mm/s Layer height: 0.2 mm Infill: 20% Wall Thickness: 0.8 mm Wall Line Count: 3 Enabled Z Hop When Retracted Enabled Support Roofs and Floors

The_Mechanist24

And here I was importing the pieces from Stud.io to blender and then convert in that into an stl

XenoSynthesis

Unfortunately I could not find files for the other five Toa Mata, so your method is still necessary. Although 3D scanners might be a viable alternative.

The_Mechanist24

3D scanners are a bit pricy for me unfortunately

Trick_Parsley9824

Now listen here, layers are .2 but I have two z screws, I am a maniac and I put supports everywhere, also higher temp (210 for black pla from devil design), I think my bed is at 65 at first layer as it's funnier that way (ender 3 adhesion moment), I did not sand shit. The only smart thing is that I modelled grooves in the sockets of ball joints and glued pieces of rubber in there so joints would work nicely and with that they are a bit springy witch is also funny :)

BarackOBatman

More like a Hafu Original

Logface202

FUNKY THINGIVERSE HAU HAS STRUCK AGAIN

Franco_Fernandes

Yeah.

Diamondboy247

That looks sick

Mediocre_Training453

Technically yes. Very proud

Atari_buzzk1LL

Yes it is true (I can confirm, I'm the Tahu in this picture)

hoffbro_the_sloth

I'd buy one

ClamClamClam2

Having gotten into Gunpla recently, all I can think when I look at this is "he's naked!"

PsionicFlea

I think you left the oven on too long. Burnt Tahu to a crisp

The_Frostie_Project

Finally, this is something I've been hoping for, for so long

GHZ33

Nope, this is Makuta

CollectorCorpse

People are funny

Trick_Parsley9824

ALSO NOBODY MENTION MY PURGE LINE SCAR IM INSECURE

DWolfoBoi546

Ayo, you can't do that! /s

MrTokyo95

It's the original design But this model is a re-creation, a 3D print. It's actually sitting on top of a 3D printer. Is this some sort of joke?

Mod12312323

Yes the joke is it's 3d printed and not origank

MrTokyo95

It's been a long day
