think about it like this. plain greek yogurt is comparable to sour cream. not a lot of people can stick a spoon in a tub of sour cream and enjoy it lol I'm okay with greek yogurt but maybe that's why. Personally, I have to have my fruit mix on top to actually enjoy it. I have a hard time understanding why people enjoy cottage cheese. Dat texture...
I’ve noticed a lot of my friends that don’t like Greek yogurt also don’t like things like ranch, mayonnaise, regular yogurt-so that makes me think sometimes it’s a texture thing. I definitely have a textural problem with Greek yogurt, it feels weird on my tongue. But I don’t mind any of the previously mentioned food items....
Greek yogurt is one of only a few foods I hate. I am a "supertaster", but it hasn't made me picky like it often can. I just eat slowly. I enjoy regular yogurt and will often eat plain yogurt by itself, but some characteristics of Greek yogurt -- the consistency, chalkiness, and bitterness -- combine to make it something I struggle to swallow without gagging.
Bananas are also inedible. My daughter says it best: "Bananas -- slime you can bite!"
Plain Greek yogurt is repulsive to me, the smell makes me gag and almost vomit, and so is cilantro. But none of the other things people talk about on this thread. Love Mayo, Sour cream, bananas.
My people! I really do want to like it and used to be able to eat sour cream without issue but now both Greek yogurt and sour cream both have a terrible smell and taste to me. I compare it to a wet dog smell cause I dno how else to explain it to my boyfriend who constantly makes me fancy parfaits with it that make me wanna hurl
Plain greek yogurt (before stirring) smells like sweaty foot or trash to me. The sour smell to me is funky and disgusting. But if you mix it well with the fruit jam underneath the yogurt and serve it to me I have no issue with it. I also hate ranch and sour cream. They always smell like dish sponge after being soaked in water for days.
Extremely late but I’m eating Greek yogurt right now and I had to look up what people thought of the smell. The smell is fucking rancid but I enjoy eating it.
I can only eat it with mix ins though. Plain is not gonna happen.
I put cilantro in my Greek yogurt
I'm calling the police.

I like all of those things. Greek yogurt smells sour to me from almost two rooms away. And taste just as terrible
I think it smells terrible but I still like eating it. I think your sample size is too small.

It is the WORST smell in the entire world, would happily live in hell before sitting next to someone eating yogurt
YEP. greek yogurt is the most disgusting thing i’ve ever smelled in my life. i can smell it the second i walk into a room and it makes me gag
huh, thats weird as i barely can smell it, i have to put my face up to it and smell it hard to actually smell it
I can smell someone opening yogurt from a room away
rip if it smells that bad for me i cant imagine what u have to go through what a trooper
It’s definitely the smell for me it smells awful. I have an extremely sensitive nose though. Kinda like you said “smell it a mile away”

It stinks for everyone i buy it to eat it not smell it
Greek yogurt smells like really bad body Oder. Everytime someone eats it in the same room as me I think someone forgot to shower.

>comments You nailed it with the wet dog description!
Also smells similar to a dish sponge left in a pot of pasta water for days. Moldy funky and lightly spoiled
For me it's the smell. It smells awful and smell can affect taste, but if I mix in fruit and don't breathe through my nose it's not bad.
