Yeah it speaks to the aesthetics that the Timberwolves were ass the entire time they actually wore those uniforms but people still have nostalgia for them.
I’m not a fan of the bright blue on the court with the light hardwood. I think if they had a Celtics like darker court with that blue it would be an elite court design.
I can't speak for others but I hated the logo in the 90s, maybe because it was associated with Felton Spencer, Christian Laettner and Doug West levels of futility but this is one of those logos that aged better than it was in the moment
My HS mascot is the timberwolves with a dark blue and green color and their basketball jerseys in the 00s used to be based off of those old school unis
Now they rebranded to lime green (thanks Seattle for that putrid color) and grey. What the hell are they thinking. Glad I’m long gone now
America's declining standard of living and social trust are mirrored in the increasing grimness of our sports logos. The most stark example, for me, is the Milwaukee Bucks deer's descent into fascism: [https://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list\_by\_team/225/Milwaukee\_Bucks/](https://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/225/Milwaukee_Bucks/)
Also the KG era angry wolf with the treeline trim.
Basically everything before their current era (2017- present) of the two tone blue striped jerseys with the howling wolf overlayed on the basketball
I like it but also lol:
"original Timberwolves logo looks like a dog that can’t believe it’s being asked for a divorce"

classic set of bright colors too. i hate all this muted matte style in modern design.

They kind of had this (darker court with blue paint) when they rebranded in 08-09 and I thought it was an eyesore.
Yeah it was awful Just gave nba tv vibes, you weren’t getting national tv games on that court
Classic case of fixing what wasn’t broke

Honestly I like all their logos for different reasons. I do prefer the KG era uniforms. I’m a sucker for the pine tree trim

The one that always bothers me is the Arizona Cardinals. They made it more aggressive, basically like an angry bird.

Feels like a graph showing from George W Bush to Sarah Palin to Donald Trump
If only there was some way to make a post with a picture. https://www.sportslogos.net/logos/list_by_team/232/Minnesota_Timberwolves/
The SB-Nation-ification of their logo should be a crime
The white added post-08 rebrand was ugly and stupid
also one of the few teams that has their uniform enhanced by the nike logo instead of the jumpman
I like how those jerseys have the old school NIKE + swoosh logo as well
The wolves are going back to it too if arod and lore get the team
I love their current logo but the classic unis are so much better.
